October 25, 2009 Philip Rivers shot down the Chiefs in today's 37-7 blowout win at Arrowhead Stadium, as he completed 18-of-30 passes for 268 yards, with three touchdowns and no interceptions. He also rushed for 18 yards on two attempts. Our View:Rivers threw multiple touchdown passes in three of his six outings, and has 10 for 2009. The Chargers will host the Raiders next weekend. |

October 19, 2009 Philip Rivers threw for 273 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 34-23 loss to the Broncos. Rivers did not throw a pick in the contest. Our View:Fantasy owners have come to expect better of Rivers, as the Broncos' defense held him in check tonight. One touchdown won't make owners happy, but he should still be viewed as a top fantasy quarterback. |

October 4, 2009 Philip Rivers was solid in Pittsburgh on Sunday night, throwing for 254 yards and three touchdowns, but it wasn't enough, as the Chargers lost 38-28 in prime time. Our View:Rivers' three touchdowns tonight doubled his total from the first three weeks of the season. He has passed for over 250 yards all four weeks, however, and is clearly a top five fantasy quarterback. |

September 27, 2009 Philip Rivers took some shots in Week 3, and he was wearing an ice bag on his chest after the game, the Our View:We're not too worried at this point, and we'll see if this comes back up during the coming week. Rivers and the Chargers play at Pittsburgh in Week 4. That matchup wouldn't be easy for a fully healthy passer, and fantasy owners may steer clear of Rivers if this chest soreness lingers. |

Our View:It wasn't a conventional line, but fantasy owners will take it. Rivers has been turning the ball over a little too much early in the season, but he remains a borderline top-five fantasy QB. |
