Jerheme Urban could be in line for a lot of touches on Sunday as both Anquan Boldin and Steve Breaston deal with injury, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View:Larry Fitzgerald is still healthy, however, and both Boldin and Breaston are expected to play, so don't consider Urban a great play.

Heading into the Arizona Cardinals’ mini-camps, team sources told Pro Football Weekly that Jerheme Urban and Ahmad Merritt, both of whom recently re-signed new deals with the team, are probably “neck-to-neck” in the running for the No. 3 wide receiver job vacated by Bryant Johnson. Team insiders also feel receiver Jamaica Rector, a pickup from the Cowboys who was on the practice squad last season, could be an intriguing long shot.

The Arizona Cardinals have announced the signing of Jerheme Urban to a two-year contract, according to AZCentral.com. Urban, who compiled 22 receptions for 329 yards and two scores last year, is expected to do battle with Steve Breaston for the No. 3 role in Arizona this season.

Many assumed it would be Bryant Johnson who stepped up while Anquan Boldin was out. Johnson did have five-yard TD catch, but it was his only reception of the day. Jerheme Urban, meanwhile, set career highs across the board with six catches for 123 yards and a TD.
