The Cowboys have picked up Wade Phillips' option to be their head coach in 2010, according to NFL.com.

Our View:Phillips will continue to be evaluated on a year-to-year basis, though it looks like Dallas' hot finish in the regular season and first-round playoff win over the Eagles were enough to convince Jerry Jones and company to bring Phillips back.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has decided that Wade Phillips will return as the team's head coach next season, according to ESPN.com.

Our View:There has been speculation regarding Phillips' job security all year long. While the Cowboys' embarrassing loss to Minnesota on Sunday surely didn't help his case, Dallas' hot finish to the regular season and first-round victory over Philadelphia seem to have been enough to appease Jones for at least one more year.

Tony Romo was horrid on Sunday, throwing for only 198 yards and no touchdowns in Dallas' 34-3 loss to Minnesota. He threw an interception while losing two fumbles and taking six sacks.

Our View:Romo was under constant duress from the opening snap on, and simply could not get anything going. Until he stops folding up like an umbrella under pressure, he will not be an elite NFL quarterback.
January 9, 2010
Tony Romo shot down the Eagles in Saturday's 34-14 playoff win at Cowboys Stadium, as he completed 23-of-35 passes for 244 yards, with two touchdowns and no interceptions.

Our View:Romo did not disappoint after closing out the regular season with a solid 97.6 efficiency rating. He will now get ready to face either the Vikings or Saints in the next round.
January 3, 2010
The Cowboys rode on the right arm of Tony Romo to a division title on Sunday as they used his 24-of-34 passing for 311 yards and two scores to blank the Eagles 24-0.

Our View:Romo did throw a pick in the game, but was very impressive against a tough Eagles defense. Looks like he's finally shaking off that late season curse, and he finished the year strong with 26 TDs against just nine picks. In his last six game he was intercepted just twice.
January 3, 2010
Tony Romo briefly exited Sunday's game with a back strain, but he was able to re-enter, despite the Cowboys having a big league.

Our View:Romo is having another strong performance despite playing in a playoff atmosphere against the rival Eagles. Hopefully the back injury does not flame up much during the upcoming week.
