Kevin Walter looked good in his season debut today, as he led the Texans with seven grabs for 96 yards and a touchdown in a 31-24 loss to the Jaguars.

Our View:Walter appears to be recovered from the hamstring injury that held him out of the first two games of the season. He will look to have another strong performance in Week 4 against Oakland.

Kevin Walter is active for today's game against the Jaguars. He has been dealing with a hamstring injury.

Kevin Walter, who missed Houston's first two games with a hamstring injury, is expected to play and start for the Texans against Jacksonville on Sunday, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Our View:Be sure to check back in on Sunday morning to ensure he doesn't suffer any setbacks in pre-game warmups. As long as he's active, he makes a for a fine fantasy play starting opposite Andre Johnson against a Jacksonville defense that has been torched for an average of 279.5 passing yards per game through two weeks.

Week 2 inactives: WR Kevin Walter, WR Andre' Davis, OL Antoine Caldwell, OT Chris L. White, QB Dan Orlovsky, CB Jacques Reeves and DL Shaun Cody.

Our View:With receivers Walter (hamstring) and Davis (concussion) both inactive, Jacoby Jones moves into the starting lineup and David Anderson will fill the slot role. Also, look for Andre Johnson and Owen Daniels to see a ton of targets.

NFL reporter Adam Caplan is reporting on his Twitter page that Texans' receiver Kevin Walter will be a game-time decision for Sunday's game against Tennessee. Walter practiced with the team earlier this week.

Our View:Walter is expected to play against the Titans, but the team isn't likely to announce anything until Sunday. If you have Walter, plan on him playing but check back on Sunday morning to make sure.
September 16, 2009
Updating an earlier report, Kevin Walter fully practiced today, according to the Texans' official website. He has been recovering from a hamstring injury.

Our View:Barring a setback, Walter is expected to start in Week 2 at Tennesse. He is the No. 2 receiver opposite stud Andre Johnson, and the Texans' offense crashed and burned with him on the shelf last weekend in the opener against the Jets.

Texans' receiver Kevin Walter will return to practice this week, and he is expected to start on Sunday against the Titans, according to the Houston Chronicle. Walter missed the team's Week 1 game against the Jets with a hamstring injury.

Our View:The Texans may have been the most disappointing team in the league in Week 1, especially on the offensive side of the ball. Getting Walter back will be a huge help, but the team will really need to pick up their game if they are going to produce against the Titans' defense.
September 14, 2009
Head coach Gary Kubiak expects Kevin Walter to be ready to go for Week 2 at Tennessee after missing the season opener while recovering from a hamstring injury, according to the Texans' official website.

Our View:Walter is Andre Johnson's wingman as the No. 2 receiver, and this is very good news. The Texans' aerial attack crashed and burned in Week 1 against the Jets with Walter on the shelf.
September 13, 2009
Kevin Walter (hamstring) is inactive for the Week 1 game against the Jets. Andre Davis will start in his place.

Our View:We've known all week that Walter was iffy, so fantasy owners should have been prepared. Davis is an able replacement, but he should only get a look in very, very big leagues.
September 11, 2009
Kevin Walter has yet to practice this week, and is not likely to play this weekend because of a lingering hamstring injury, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Our View:Andre' Davis is expected to go in his place for the time being. Things could change if he feels good during warm-ups on Sunday, but don't count on it.
September 10, 2009
Kevin Walter did not participate in practice again on Thursday, according to the injury report on the New York Jets' official website. Walter's status for Sunday is very much in doubt at this point.

Our View:Walter's hamstring just won't cooperate, and he is in danger of missing the game this weekend. Walter owners should be looking for another option for this weekend, as he will be hobbled even if he does play.
September 9, 2009
Updating an earlier report, head coach Gary Kubiak has some concern that Kevin Walter may not be available for Week 1 after missing today's practice with his hamstring injury, according to the Texans' official website.

Our View:Walter would be missed if unable to play in Sunday's battle with the Jets, as he hauled in 60 receptions for 899 yards and eight scores as Andre Johnson's wingman in 2008. Fantasy owners should have another option in place in case he is ruled out.

Kevin Walter is aiming to rack up more yards after the catch this season, according to the Texans' official team website.

Our View:He has been working on his stiff arm and other moves in a bid to raise his yards after the catch average. He hauled in 60 receptions for 899 yards and eight scores last season, and it sounds like he is dedicated to improving upon those totals in 2009. He is worth drafting as a No. 3 fantasy receiver with upside.
