Calvin Pace is set to return in Week 5 after serving his four-game suspension for violating the league's policy for using performance-enhancing substances, according to ESPN.

Our View:Pace racked up seven sacks as an outside pass rusher in 2008, and should continue to make an impact - especially since the Jets have been blitzing more than any other team so far this season.

According to Adam Schefter's Twitter account, Jets defensive end Calvin Pace has been suspended for four games.

Our View:No word yet on why he was suspended, as the announcement wasn't planned to be released until July 4th. Four games though is standard for violation of the league's banned substance policy.

The Jets added several undrafted rookie free agents, according to ProFootballTalk.com. The club signed: tight end JNathan Bullock (Cleveland State), punter T.J. Conley (Idaho), safety Emanuel Cook (South Carolina), TE/LS Andrew Davie (Arkansas), wide receiver Britt Davis (Northern Illinois), safety Keith Fitzhugh (Mississippi State), defensive tackle Matt Kroul (Iowa), offensive lineman Kyle Link (McNeese State), tackle Ryan McKee (South Mississippi), tight end Rob Myers (Utah State), center Michael Parenton (Tulane), quarterback Chris Pizzotti (Harvard), defensive end Zach Potter (Nebraska), fullback Brannan Southerland (Georgia), defensive lineman Ty Steinkuhler (Nebraska), tackle Tavita Thompson (Oregon State), and defensive end Jamaal Westerman (Rutgers).

Our View:Cook is a good tackler, but lacks coverage skills and instincts. He will be limited to playing close to the line of scrimmage if he makes the team. Link did not allow a sack as a senior at McNeese state. Myers has great speed, but a poor track record with durability. Potter has great size (6-6, 280 pounds) and could make the club as a reserve defensive end.

The New York Daily News expects Calvin Pace's sack production to increase in 2009 under the direction of new head coach Rex Ryan.

Our View:Pace notched seven sacks last season, and could potentially reach double-digits this season, hence raising his fantasy value. He should remain productive in the tackles department as well, after racking up 80 (62 solo) in 2008.

If the New York Jets hire a coach who wants to run a 4-3 defense instead of the 3-4 they have recently employed, it will affect a number of Jets players, notably Calvin Pace, according to the Bergen Record.

Our View:Pace was a 4-3 end in Arizona that struggled in that position before excelling as a 3-4 outside linebacker who rushes the passer. He had 7.0 sacks this season, and may have to go back to end if the team goes to a 4-3.
