According to NFL.com, Visanthe Shiancoe (quad) returned to practice on Thursday, but was limited.

Our View:Shiancoe was held out of practice Wednesday, so the Vikes are likely just easing him back into the rigorous football schedule. He's been hampered by multiple injuries over the second half of the season, but is expected to play through them and be available for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.

Visanthe Shiancoe was held out of Vikings practice on Wednesday as he continues to deal with a quad injury, according to the team.

Our View:Shiancoe has fought many injuries in recent weeks, but played through all of them, and there is almost no chance he will not be active this weekend against the Cowboys. Look for updates on Thursday and Friday, but expect him to play.

In addition to fighting rib and thigh injuries, Visanthe Shiancoe is now dealing with turf toe, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

Our View:Shiancoe is one player who is very thankful for having a bye in this year's playoffs. He will be a go when Minnesota takes the field the weekend after next.

Despite being questionable at the start of the day, Visanthe Shiancoe had 94 yards and a touchdown on seven receptions as the Vikings embarrassed the Giants 44-7.

Our View:Shaincoe needed just 56 catches this season to reel in 11 scores. He has 18 touchdowns over the past two seasons and he probably won't be a sleeper on draft day next season.

NFL.com reports that Visanthe Shiancoe is questionable to play against the Giants due to a thigh injury.

Our View:Shiancoe has been a touchdown machine this season, but the Vikes may rest him in order to get him 100 percent for the playoffs. He is further evidence of the depth at tight end this season.
