Bryant Johnson may not be back with the 49ers after his contract expired at the end of the season, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Our View:The 49ers may opt against bringing him back as the club is pleased with the development of Josh Morgan and Jason Hill, both of which look to serve a bigger role in 2009. Johnson finished second on the team in receiving behind Isaac Bruce with 45 receptions for 546 yards and three score.

Our View:This is the first fantasy-relevant day Johnson has had since Week 2.

Bryant Johnson is not listed on the 49ers injury report for Week 5. He has been dealing with a sore hamstring for a couple weeks.

Our View:Johnson has 10 catches and a touchdown through four weeks and that production should increase as the 49ers continue to get more comfortable in Mike Martz's offense.
