Newsbreakers
October 27, 2009
Terdell Sands worked out for the Chiefs Tuesday, according to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post.

Our View:Sands failed to perform up to expectations with the Raiders, and was recently released by the Patriots. He would not be worth targeting in IDP leagues if signed by Kansas City.
October 14, 2009
Terdell Sands has been released by the Patriots.

Our View:The move was necessitated by the team's recent signing of veteran linebacker Junior Seau. Sands, who has now been released by two teams this season, could be nearing the end of the line.
September 28, 2009
Terdell Sands has signed a deal with the Patriots, according to Mike Reiss' (ESPN Boston) twitter page. Contract terms were not disclosed.

Our View:Sands fell out of favor in Oakland, but the Patriots like his versatility to serve in either their 4-3 or 3-4 defensive sets. The club will push him to maximize his potential, but does not garner fantasy attention for now.
September 27, 2009
Terdell Sands auditioned for the Patriots on Friday, according to Aaron Wilson's (Ravens Insider) twitter page.

Our View:The 6-7, 335-pound defensive lineman was cut by the Raiders, but could benefit from a fresh start with a new club.
September 5, 2009
Terdell Sands has been cut, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Our View:Sands was given a huge contract in the 2007 offseason to help shore up the Raiders' run defense, but was a total non-factor in both of the last two seasons. He could latch on somewhere else.
August 30, 2009
The National Football Post is reporting that many NFL teams believe the Raiders are going to trade defensive tackle Terdell Sands. Sands did not play in the team's preseason game on Saturday.

Our View:Sands couldn't even get on the field in a game in which his defense allowed 344 yards at the half to the Saints. He nearly got released during camp, but the Raiders still want to move him despite paying him a $1 million roster bonus earlier this summer. Expect someone to take a chance on him.
July 3, 2009
According to Pro Football Talk, the Raiders are trying to deal defensive lineman, Terdell Sands.

Our View:There was talk during training camp that Sands may get released, so the fact that the Raiders are tying to unload him on someone else isn't much of a shocker. He is due a $1 million roster bonus on July 3rd and Oalkand would love to get out from under that.
