Antonio Bryant (knee) was absent from Bucs practice on Friday morning, according to the Pewter Report.

Our View:Bryant's knee injury has been an ongoing saga this season, and coupled with the Bucs' unfavorable quarterback situation, he shouldn't be counted on in any format at this point.

Antonio Bryant had two receptions for 51 yards and one touchdown in the Week 7 loss to New England at Wembley Stadium.

Our View:The Tampa Bay offense is pathetic and Bryant has been a major disappointment to his fantasy owners. The touchdown was his second in four games, however, it's risky to start any Bucs offensive player, other than tight end Kellen Winslow, at this juncture.

The St. Petersburg Times reports that receiver Antonio Bryant (knee) was limited in practice on Wednesday.

Our View:Bryant has struggled with the balky knee all season and his lack of practicing has affected his performance on game day. He's also frustrated with the fact that the offense can't seem to get in sync. Here's how he vented, "Come on, man, a different quarterback, system … there's too much going on. There's no consistency yet. We're trying to find some consistency. … I mean, you see we had our first 100-yard receiver, and it took five games."

Antonio Bryant is having his balky knee drained on Wednesday in attempt to be able to practice more, according to the Pewter Report.

Our View:Bryant usually saves his knee drainings for before game time, but with the Bucs 0-5, he has decided he wants to be able to practice more. It can only be good for his fantasy value for him to be taking more reps with new quarterback Josh Johnson during the week, and as long as he knee does not swell up on Wednesday, expect this to become a regular thing.

According to PewterReport.com, a number of Bucs returned to practice on Friday, including top wide receiver Antonio Bryant and running backs Derrick Ward and Earnest Graham. The other players returning are cornerback Torrie Cox, wide receiver Michael Clayton, and quartberack Byron Leftwich.

Our View:It is big for the Bucs that Bryant was able to go today, as he is their biggest threat in the passing game. Graham and Ward are important pieces of the offense, so the team will be in much better shape if both are able to go.
