David Garrard completed 16-of-26 passes for 221 yards and a touchdown in the Week 10 win over the Jets. He also rushed six times for 11 yards and a score.

Our View:Garrard had been awful on the road this year (55.2 completion percentage, zero passing scores) prior to this contest, and it was good to see him step up against the Jets. The Jags play four of their next five games at home, and he could be a decent fantasy play in the right matchup.

David Garrard completed 27-of-37 passes for 323 yards and three touchdowns in the Week 4 thrashing of the Tennessee Titans. He also chipped in eight carries for 38 yards on the ground.

Our View:Garrard was turnover free and read his progressions well, completing three or more passes to six different receivers. The eight-year veteran has thrown multiple touchdown passes in two of the last three games, and represents a solid fantasy backup in all league formats.

David Garrard completed 23-of-43 passes for 282 yards and two touchdowns against one interception in the Week 2 loss to Arizona.

Our View:Much better performance than his Week 1 effort against Indianapolis when he threw for 122 yards and zero scores. Next week, Garrard draws the Texans leaky defense that has surrendered 55 points in the first two weeks of the season.

According to the Florida Times-Union, Jaguars' coach Jack Del Rio pointed the finger at quarterback David Garrard in the wake of Sunday's loss to the Colts. "I thought he missed some things he needs to do better for us to be the kind of offense we have designs on being," Del Rio said about Garrard's 14-of-28 passing performance.

Our View:Del Rio didn't want to point the finger at the offensive line on Sunday, but he had no problem calling out Garrard a few days later. He was under pressure all day from the Colts, but as the quarterback it is his job to be the man on offense. Expect Garrard to bounce back and have a solid season.
September 13, 2009
David Garrard completed 14-of-28 passes for 122 yards, no scores, and no picks in the season opening loss to the Colts. He also rushed for 14 yards.

Our View:The Colts pass defense allowed only six scores in all of 2008, and it looks like they are still in good form. We still hope Garrard will be a decent No. 2 fantasy quarterback this season.
