Eli Manning says the Giants' bye week has helped his injured foot feel better, according to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News.

Our View:He has been dealing with plantar fasciitis since early October, and his play has slipped in that time. After throwing for 10 touchdowns in his first five games, he has thrown just five in his past four. It's hard to imagine the week of rest did not do him some good, however.

Eli Manning threw for 215 yards and two scores on Sunday, but it wasn't enough as the Giants fell 21-20 to the Chargers on a last minute touchdown.

Our View:Eli hooked up with Steve Smith and Kevin Boss in the game, and he looked like he held up pretty well on his achy foot. The fantasy numbers weren't stellar, but he connected on 25-of-33 passes and held a quarterback rating of 112.6. Still, owners would have liked to see him dismantle the San Diego secondary.

Giants' quarterback Eli Manning was not listed on the team's injury report on Tuesday, according to the Twitter page of beat writer Ralph Vacchiano. Manning's foot appears to be close to completely healed.

Our View:Eli was never in great danger of missing time with the injury, but it's good to know the team feels his foot is improving. He has struggled a bit over the last two weeks, which is a much bigger concern for the Giants than his foot.

Eli Manning was not in top form Sunday night against Arizona, going 19-of-37 for 243 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions.

Our View:Eli opened the season strong but has slowed down the last two weeks. Hold onto him, but he's not necessarily a must-start and doesn't have the best matchup next week at Philadelphia.

Barring setbacks or further injuries, quarterback Eli Manning should be able to manage his heel injury for the rest of the season with a limited practice schedule and regular treatment, according to Pro Football Weekly.

Our View:Manning likes to take the majority of the snaps during practice, but has reportedly accepted a scaled-back slate as a necessary step to remain in the lineup for the whole season. After six starts, he is on target to have the best season of his his six-year career, with 11 touchdowns against three interceptions for a 102.2-passer rating.
