David Martin has been released by the Miami Dolphins, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

Our View:Martin was a serviceable offensive tight end in 2008, catching 31 balls for 440 yards and three touchdowns, but at age 30, just wasn't in the Dolphins plans any longer.

Dolphins' tight end David Martin is reportedly AWOL, according to teammate Omar Kelly's twitter page.

Our View:There is belief his groin is bothering him, but the Dolphins are yet to comment. Martin is a starter when healthy, but rookie John Nalbone will benefit from more practice time during his absence.

David Martin is sitting out practice while recovering from a sports hernia, according to the Palm Beach Post.

Our View:Martin is uncertain to be ready to go for the start of training camp. He does not look to hold much fantasy value as long as Anthony Fasano remains intact as the Dolphins' starter at tight end.

David Martin is not practicing with the Dolphins today while nursing an undisclosed injury, according to the Miami Herald.

Our View:Martin was a decent tight end for deeper fantasy leagues last season, as he hauled in 31 receptions for 450 yards and three scores. He dealt with a head/neck ailment down the stretch last season.

The Miami Herald (head/neck) reports that Dolphins tight end David Martin was limited in practice, but increased his workload from previous days.

Our View:Martin is the second tight end behind Anthony Fasanno, but they are both dangerous, and combined for 10 touchdown receptions this season.

David Martin is questionable for this weekend's playoff game against the Ravens due to his neck/head injury, according to the Sports Network. He was limited in practice today and yesterday.

Our View:Martin hauled in 31 receptions for 450 yards and three scores as Chad Pennington's safety valve at tight end this season and would be missed in unable to go against the Ravens.

David Martin (neck/head) returned to practice on Thursday as a limited participant, according to the Ravens Official Website.

Our View:This is a good sign that Martin will be able to play this weekend, but given the type of injury he suffered (a possible concussion), his outlook could change prior to the game with the Ravens. Friday's practice will be key.
