Sports Illustrated's Peter King reports that Colts wideout Reggie Wayne left practice early on Friday after aggravating a knee injury.
January 29, 2010
Reggie Wayne (knee) fully practiced for the third straight day Friday, according to the Colts' official website.

Our View:Wayne is probable for Super Bowl 44 against New Orleans. The Colts will aim to exploit the Saints' pass defense, which finished the regular season ranked 26th in the NFL.

Reggie Wayne (knee) could miss some practice this week as a precautionary measure, according to the Indianapolis Star.

Our View:No need for Colts fans to worry, as he's at no risk of missing the Super Bowl. Look for him to have a much better chance at getting open against New Orleans than he did against Darrelle Revis last week.

Reggie Wayne will be covered by Jets' shutdown cornerback Darrelle Revis on Sunday, according to the Newark Star-Ledger.

Our View:No surprise here, as Revis routinely covers the opposing team's best receiver. Wayne had just three catches for 33 yards while playing 3.5 quarters against Revis and the Jets in Week 16, though Vincent Jackson did have a fine game against Revis last week, giving Wayne a bit of hope.

Reggie Wayne hauled in eight catches for 63 yards and a touchdown in tonight's 20-3 playoff win over the Ravens at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Our View:Wayne caught 100 passes for 1,264 yards and 10 touchdowns in the regular season, and was well-rested while coming off a first-round bye. The Colts will next play either the Jets or Chargers in the AFC Championship, with the latter having the weaker pass defense.

According to the Colts official website, Reggie Wayne (knee) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.

Our View:In addition to Wayne, everyone else on the Colts injury report fully participated in practice. They appear to be at their healthiest heading into their first playoff game on Saturday and it looks like resting the starters wasn't such a bad idea after all. Baring any bizarre setbacks everyone should be good to go against the Ravens.
