The Rams still seem very interested in Eagles quarterback Michael Vick, according to Newsday.

Our View:Soft-spoken Rams head man Steve Spagnuolo sang his praises on Friday, and did nothing to shoot down the increasing speculation that Vick is St. Louis bound. While it is unclear just how effective Vick still is, it doesn't take a genius to figure out the answer is at least "more so than Marc Bulger."

The Rams are believed to be the favorites to acquire Michael Vick from the Eagles, according to Jason LaCanfora of the NFL Network.

Our View:Vick would be reunited with GM Billy Devaney, as the pair previously worked together in Atlanta. Vick is still among the most dangerous runners in the NFL, and would spark a Rams' offense that often lacked a pulse in 2009.

According to Pro Football Talk, the Eagles say that they have no plans to trade Michael Vick.

Our View:This clearly sounds like posturing, as every publication under the sun predicted and expects Vick will be shipped out. The team says they are in a "luxury position" with their three quarterbacks, but Vick is owed $5.25 million and the Eagles would be nuts to pay that kind of money for a third-string signal caller. Maybe they'll give Jim Sorgi $4 million to hold a clipboard and be their fourth-stringer. Stick with the straight story and expect Vick to be moved this offseason.

Michael Vick will supposedly have "many suitors" this offseason, according to NFL.com.

Our View:The Eagles are widely expected to trade him before the fifth day of the 2010 NFL calendar, since that is when he will be due a $1.5 million roster bonus. According to the report, Buffalo, St. Louis, Carolina, Oakland and Jacksonville could all be interested. Stay tuned.

The Eagles don't plan to pick up Michael Vick's option for next season, according to NFL.com.

Our View:The Eagles will be able to trade Vick sometime before April arrives and would be very willing to do so, though teams may be wary of dealing for him with the assumption that he'll eventually be available as a free agent. However it ends up going down, Vick is highly unlikely to be with the Eagles next season and can expect to land a starting gig somewhere.

The Rams could give serious consideration to dealing for Michael Vick this offseason, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Our View:The Eagles probably wouldn't be asking for too much in return, and Vick would certainly start for a Rams franchise in need of a serious change. Stay tuned, as it seems quite likely that Vick will get a chance to start somewhere with a number of teams looking for a new quarterback.

The Dallas Morning News has reported that prior to his death, steroids trafficker David Jacobs claimed to have supplied steroids to Michael Vick when Vick was a member of the Falcons.

Our View:The Dallas Morning News apparently sat on this story for a while but determined there was cause to print it after it recently surfaced that Vick had been questioned by federal agents and prosecutors about steroids and human growth hormone during the investigation of his dog-fighting ring in 2007. While this is far from the type of publicity Vick wants to receive as he continues to rehab his image, he's denied ever using any performance-enhancing drugs, and given that Jacobs commit suicide in 2008, it will be tough for anything to be proven or for this story to go any further.

Michael Vick will star in a new BET reality series to begin airing next month called "The Michael Vick Project," according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Our View:The show will, of course, focus on the dogfighting and animal abuse charges that landed him in jail, and how the whole ordeal has changed his life. In it, he talks openly of how he led a "double life," and even revisits the site of his "Bad Newz Kennels" operation. His image-repair campaign rolls on. Now the question is, will it be successful enough to help land him a starting job next season.

There is speculation that the Bills could target Michael Vick this offseason with plans for him to serve as their starting quarterback next season, according to the National Football Post.

Our View:It's previously been reported that the Eagles would only be asking for a fourth- or fifth-round pick in exchange for Vick, which would clearly not be too hefty a price to pay for a team that viewed Vick as a potential starter. New Bills coach Chan Gailey has worked with athletic quarterbacks in his past, such as Kordell Stewart and Tyler Thigpen, so he's used to players of Vick's style. Stay tuned, though it would certainly be exciting to see Vick back under center in a full-time manner.

NFL insider Adam Caplan speculates that Michael Vick can be pried from the Eagles for a conditional fourth or fifth-round pick.

Our View:Again, this is mere speculation, but it seems unlikely that Vick will be back in Philadelphia if he wishes to compete for a starting gig. Regardless of Donovan McNabb's fate, Kevin Kolb is still around as the Eagles' quarterback of the future.

Michael Vick (quad) looked healthy in Eagles practice on Wednesday, according to Adam Caplan of Scout.com.

Our View:He will be active on Saturday for Philly's Wild Card showdown with Dallas. Now the only question is, will he play? With the stakes so high, coach Andy Reid might not be in the mood for gimmicks.
January 4, 2010
Michael Vick (quad) will be active next Saturday when Philadelphia and Dallas face off in the first round of the playoffs, according to the Dallas Morning News. He was inactive for the Eagles' 24-0 loss to the Cowboys on Sunday.

Our View:Well this all-but-insures a win for the Eagles next Saturday. If his quad does end up keeping him out for his usual 2-to-3 snaps next Saturday, however, expect the Eagles offense to somehow survive.

Eagles Week 17 inactives: third QB Michael Vick, WR Kevin Curtis, DB Geoffrey Pope, S Quintin Demps, OL King Dunlap, TE Martin Rucker, DL Trevor Laws, and C Dallas Reynolds

Our View:Vick was limited in practice all week with a quad injury but was expected to be available for today's game. The Eagles need a win to clinch a first round bye.
January 2, 2010
According to the Associated Press, Michael Vick (quad) is expected to play Sunday against the Cowboys.

Our View:Vick had a positive practice on Friday and is slated be the backup quarterback for Week 17. "He's feeling good," coach Andy Reid said Friday. "We've got a couple things in for him, so we look forward to getting him back in there and playing." He will likely see a little action in the Eagles version of the wildcat.
