Updating a previous report, Jets' defensive end Shaun Ellis has been suspended by the league for the team's first game of the season and fined an additional $100,000 stemming from his November arrest for marijuana posession, according to ProFootballTalk.com.

Our View:It was widely believed that Ellis would be forced out the first game of the year, but the league made it official today. Ellis will continue to play and practice until the regular season opens, and he should be back on the line in Week 2.

Our View:Locklin was going to become Kansas University's new defensive line coach before Rex Ryan lured him to the Jets. Locklin was previously Fresno State's defensive line coach for nine seasons.
