Thomas Jones was a standout for the Jets in today's 30-25 loss to the Dolphins in the Meadowlands, as he racked up 102 rushing yards on 27 carries. He also caught one pass for 28 receiving yards.

Our View:Jones failed to reach the endzone, but fantasy owners cannot complain about 130 total yards against a good team. Jones averages 144 rushing yards over his last three games.
October 25, 2009
Thomas Jones ground up Oakland's defense for 121 yards off 26 carries and a one-yard score on the Jets' first drive. Jones added a three-yard reception.

Our View:Jones now has a ridiculous 331 rushing yards the past two weeks and has scored in four-straight games, with seven on the season. He's proving that his big year in 2008 was no fluke and remains a must-start every week. Of note, fellow back Leon Washington left the game early on with a lower-leg injury and Shonn Greene stepped in nicely in his place, though Jones will continue to get enough looks to put up fine numbers regardless of who he's sharing with.
October 18, 2009
Thomas Jones exploded for 208 yards and a touchdown on 28 carries in Sunday's overtime loss to the Bills.

Our View:Jones had runs of 64 and 71 yards, which did most of the damage, and he also caught a pair of passes for 17 yards. It was a surprising effort for the back who splits carries with Leon Washington, but owners who popped him in an RB2 or flex spot this week have to be smiling. He has another nice matchup with the Raiders next week.
October 12, 2009
Thomas Jones carried the ball just 13 times for 42 yards on Monday night, but found the end-zone twice in New York's 31-27 loss in Miami.

Our View:Jones now has three touchdowns in the past two weeks after scoring just two in the first three weeks of the season. Leon Washington may still take over the starting running back job at some point this season, but for now, Jones remains a viable fantasy option.
September 13, 2009
Thomas Jones helped the Jets to a season-opening win in Houston by rushing 20 times for 107 yards and two touchdowns.

Our View:Jones capped off the win with a 38-yard scoring scamper in the fourth quarter. This effort should remind everyone that he is the unquestioned starter behind a quality offensive line.
