Daunte Culpepper practiced Tuesday, according to the Detroit Free Press.

Our View:Rookie Matthew Stafford (knee) is feeling better, and might be able to play in Week 8 against St. Louis. If not, Culpepper should be ready to make another start in his place.

Daunte Culpepper injured his right hamstring in the third quarter of today's game at Green Bay. Drew Stanton replaced him at quarterback.

Our View:Culpepper was 6-of-14 for 48 yards and an interception prior to leaving the game. The Lions currently trail 26-0.

Daunte Culpepper completed 23-of-37 passes for 282 yards with one touchdown against one interception in the Week 5 loss to Pittsburgh.

Our View:Culpepper, subbing for an inactive Matthew Stafford, also carried the ball three times for 44 yards. He displayed a solid grasp of the offensive scheme, getting nine different receivers involved with at least one reception each. On the flip side, he still has ball security issues as he fumbled three times, but luckily none of them resulted in a turnover.

Updating a previous report, the Lions have announced that veteran Daunte Culpepper will get the start Sunday against the Steelers, according to ProFootballTalk.com. Culpepper is starting because of the injury to rookie Mtt Stafford.

Our View:It has been believed that Culpepper would start today, but now it is official. Making your first start of the season against the Steelers' defense isn't exactly the best way to begin, but Culpepper is a pro and he will deal with it. The Lions, as per usual, are in big trouble today.

The Detroit Free Press reports that Daunte Culpepper is expected to get the start at quarterback against the Steelers in Week 5.

Our View:With rookie Matt Stafford still nursing a knee injury, Culpepper has been taking all of the first team reps in practice. He'll get the start against the Steelers, but is not a fantasy worthy starter, especially against a tough Pittsburgh defense.
