Takeo Spikes (hamstring) is questionable for this Sunday, according to Matt Maiocco of the Santa Rosa Press Democrat.

Our View:Matt Wilhelm would start were Spikes unable to go. In nine games this season, he has 42 tackles.

According to the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, Takeo Spikes is questionable for the 49ers next game in Week 11.

Our View:Spikes left Thursday's game with a hamstring injury and is being considered day-to-day. Matt Wilhelm took over for Spikes when he was forced out of the game, so he would likely get the start if the hamstring doesn't recover in time.

Our View:We will update Spikes' status later this week, but hamstring injuries are never good. He might not be in his prime anymore, but it would still be a blow to the defense if he misses time.

According to the 49ers official site, Takeo Spikes miss Thursday's practice with a shoulder injury.

Our View:Spikes is expected to return to practice on Friday and will be available for Week 9. The strained right shoulder has bothered him for the last two weeks now, but it appears he'll be able to go on Sunday. He's a good source of tackles if you're in a deep IDP league, as referenced by the 96 he racked up last season.

The 49ers have re-signed free-agent linebacker Takeo Spikes to a two-year deal, according to FOXSports.com.

Our View:Spikes was somewhat disappointing in San Francisco last season. He was still able to rack up 96 tackles (61 solo) and three interceptions and apparently coach Mike Singletary liked what he saw.
