Head coach Tony Dungy says a decision about retirement will come in the near future. "I'm going to spend the next few days with my wife, then once we decide what we're going to do," Dungy tells the team's official web site.

Our View:Associate head coach Jim Caldwell is next in line whenever Dungy steps down, so we're not overly worried about a potential transition.

Colts coach Tony Dungy is considering retirement, according to ESPN.com. He will spend a couple weeks when the season is finished to make up his mind.

Our View:This has become a regular thing for Dungy, who has done this the last few years. He maintains that once he retires from the league, he will never come back.

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning has won the 2008 NFL MVP, collecting 32 of 50 first-place votes, according to the AP.

Our View:Chad Pennington and Michael Turner were runners-up to Manning, who threw for 4,0002 yards and 27 touchdowns with just 12 interceptions this season. This was his third MVP award, also having won it in 2003 and 2004.
