Pat Williams is scheduled to make his preseason debut against the Seahawks Saturday, according to ESPN 1500 Twin Cities.
Our View:
Williams will play, but the D-line could still be shorthanded. The statuses of Jared Allen and Jimmy Kennedy are up in the air, and both are likely to be held out. However, both players are just "nicked up," according to defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier, and neither is expected to miss any time.

The Associated Press reports that the suspensions for Pat Williams and Kevin Williams will be put on hold until their appeal is heard in a Minnesota state court.
Our View:
The NFL originally tried to suspend the Williams' in 2008, but at this rate the hit probably won't come until they retire. There's no date scheduled for their appeal hearing, so the Vikings run defense should be as stout as ever this season.

Pat Williams may end up having to serve a four-game suspension after all for his involvement in the StarCaps case over a year ago, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.
Our View:
A Hennepin County judge had harsh words for the NFL, but also determined that Pat Williams and Kevin Williams were not harmed by the violations of Minnesota labor law, and thus are be subject to the NFL's suspensions. Pat and Kevin are expected to appeal the decision, so this story is not yet over. Jimmy Kennedy and Fred Evans would serve as the Vikings' starting defensive tackles if the suspensions are upheld.

Pat Williams (elbow) did not practice Friday, and is questionable for the NFC title game against New Orleans, according to the Vikings' official website. He fully practiced the previous two days.
Our View:
Fellow defensive tackle Kevin Williams (knee) is also questionable, meaning the Saints could catch a break on the ground. Minnesota finished the regular season ranked No. 2 in run defense.

The veteran defensive tackle was able to play in last week's win over Dallas, and should be able to go against the Saints with a trip to the Super Bowl at stake.

Our View:
Williams has been dealing with an elbow injury, but is probable for Sunday's playoff game against Dallas. The veteran defensive tackle had a week to rest while coming off a first-round bye.

Despite his limited status on Wednesday, don't expect one half of the feared "Williams Wall" to be out when the Vikes take on the Cowboys this weekend. Marion Barber and Felix Jones are highly unlikely to end up that lucky.

Our View:
Williams is in better shape than top backup Jimmy Kennedy, who is doubtful with a thumb injury. Running back Ahmad Bradshaw does not look to catch a break with both halves of the "Williams Wall" set to roam in the middle of the Vikings' defensive line.

Our View:
Williams missed last week's loss to the Bears with the injury and has been limited in practice all week. Ahmad Bradshaw would like to see Williams sit this one out as well.
