Newsbreakers
March 17, 2010
Quinton Ganther has signed with the Seattle Seahawks, according to agent David Canter.

Our View:In relief of an injured Clinton Portis last season, Ganther rushed for 199 yards. He'll be joining a crowded Seattle back-field that also includes Julius Jones and Justin Forsett.

Quinton Ganther will visit Seattle Wednesday, according to agent David Canter's twitter page.

Our View:Ganther made some noise with the Redskins last season when given a chance to play due to injuries, and Seattle could use more depth at running back. His fantasy value would likely remain limited in a backup role role.
March 3, 2010
According to Adam Schefter on Twitter, the Redskins will not offer Quinton Ganther a tender, making him an unrestricted free agent.

Our View:Ganther was a late season standout for the Skins when their entire backfield was injured, but he averaged just 3.2 YPC so there are some concerns. He's just 25 though so there should be plenty of interested clubs.
January 3, 2010
Quinton Ganther rushed 12 times on Sunday and gained just 27 yards in a loss to the Chargers.

Our View:Ganther also caught one pass for seven yards, but had a largely forgettable performance. He recorded three scores in his first two games after being named the starter, but has been a non-factor in his last two, gaining just 40 yards on 19 carries with zero scores.
December 27, 2009
Quinton Ganther had a miserable game on Sunday night, rushing seven times for just 13 yards and catching one pass for 16 yards in a loss to the Cowboys.

Our View:Ganther, who had three scores in his previous two games as the starting back, was stuffed by Dallas' run defense. If he flubs again next week, the Redskins may start looking elsewhere for running back help in 2010.
