Paul paces Hornets over Sixers
Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Chris Paul scored 16 points, dished out 12 assists and provided three thefts as New Orleans won its season-high fifth straight game with a 98-91 triumph over Philadelphia at the Wachovia Center.

David West posted 30 points and 10 rebounds while Rasual Butler and James Posey each struck for a trio of three-pointers en route to 16 points apiece. The Hornets drained 10-of-16 from beyond the arc.

Newsbreakers
Thaddeus Young, FSaturday 11/21, 9:02 PM CT
Thaddeus Young scored 21 points in a game-high 46 minutes on Saturday night, but Philadelphia would still go on to lose 97-91 to the Cavaliers.

Our View:The 21 points where the most he had scored since putting up 25 on Halloween.
Elton Brand, FSaturday 11/21, 8:59 PM CT
Embattled forward Elton Brand reeled off his third straight solid game on Saturday night, scoring 18 points and grabbing 14 rebounds in Philadelphia's loss to Cleveland.

Our View:Brand looks to be motivated after talk of being benched, and if he keeps this up for a few more games, he might be safe to declare "back."
Elton Brand, FFriday 11/20, 8:58 PM CT
Elton Brand put together his second straight strong performance on Friday as the Sixers fell to the Grizzlies 102-97. Brand scored 22 points, grabbed six boards, and added four steals in the game.

Our View:Brand has been one of the biggest fantasy disappointments in the league so far this season, but he has shown why many consider him an elite talent over the last two nights. Owners need to hope that he is back on track for good, but he will need to put together more than two good outings if he wants to prove that he is back.
