Newsbreakers
Al Harrington, F Saturday 11/21, 3:01 PM CT
Al Harrington came off the bench on Saturday and scored a team-high 17 points in a 98-91 win over New Jersey.

Our View: Harrington had eight rebounds in the game as well, and even though he didn't start he still managed over 31 minutes in the contest. He's started just two games this season, but is averaging 31 minutes of playing time and has topped 20 points five times (including a season-high of 42).
David Lee, C Saturday 11/21, 2:57 PM CT
David Lee was back to his old tricks on Saturday, recording a double-double in the Knicks 98-91 win over the Nets.

Our View: Lee recorded 16 points, 12 rebounds, five assists, two steals and a block in Saturday's game. Although he only hit 4-of-13 shots from the field, these are the kind of numbers owners expect from him. He now has three double-doubles on the season.
Larry Hughes, G Saturday 11/21, 2:10 PM CT
Newsday reports that Larry Hughes has earned the start at shooting guard on Saturday.

Our View: Toney Douglas gets bumped due to Hughes' fine performance on Wednesday (15 points, ten boards, seven assists), and it looks like Larry may have secured himself a viable spot on fantasy rosters once again. Especially now that Allan Iverson won't get in the way in New York.
Al Harrington, F Wednesday 11/18, 9:30 PM CT
Al Harrington scored a team-high 26 points off the bench in Wednesday's 110-103 win at Indiana. He also chipped in five rebounds and a steal.

Our View: Harrington is having a fine campaign in New York, as he topped 20 points for the fifth time.
Wilson Chandler, F Monday 11/16, 9:50 AM CT
Wilson Chandler sounds like he's out of a starting job in New York, according to the New York Daily News.

Our View: This would be a huge setback for Chandler, as the Knicks were committed to letting him earn a starting role. His play just has not been there, however, as he is averaging only 11.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game - well below what the Knicks had hoped for. Jordan Hill is the most likely candidate for his job.
Eddy Curry, C Monday 11/16, 8:30 AM CT
Eddy Curry (calf) is expected to make his 2009-10 season debut on Wednesday, according to Newsday.

Our View: Curry is supposedly in the best shape of his career, but he is not expected to receive big minutes for the first few games he is back, as the team will ease him into the rotation. If not already owned, the offensively minded center is worth a flier in all formats.
Chris Duhon, G Saturday 11/14, 10:30 AM CT
According to the New York Daily News, Knicks' coach Mike D'Antoni is sticking with Chris Duhon as his point guard. Duhon is averaging only 6.5 points and 5.9 assists on the season.

Our View: Duhon's main issue this season has been his shooting, as his field goal percentage is sitting at .228 right now while his three-point percentage is even worse at .214. With Nate Robinson back from injury and Toney Douglas proving he is ready to see more time, Duhon will lose his job if he doesn't pick up his play soon.
Jared Jeffries, F Friday 11/13, 11:11 PM CT
Jared Jeffries left Friday's contest after three minutes due to general soreness.

Our View: Jeffries headed to the sideline and was seen stretching his ankle, so that appears to be the injury. We'll update his status when we know more on the the situation.
David Lee, C Friday 11/13, 9:23 PM CT
David Lee had another solid effort with 17 points and eight rebounds, but it wasn't enough as the Knicks fell to the Warriors 121-107.

Our View: Lee is a double-double machine, but just missed out on one in Friday's game. Normally the big man is good for one every night he's on the floor, but this season he's only collected two in ten games.
Danilo Gallinari, F Friday 11/13, 9:15 PM CT
Danilo Gallinari scored a team-high 19 points and ten rebounds for the Knicks in Friday's 121-107 loss to the Warriors.

Our View: Gallinari hit 7-of-10 shots from the field, including an impressive 4-of-6 from downtown. The second year Knick is progressing well and is proving to be very dangerous from behind the arc. The ten rebounds (a season high) were a nice bonus for owners.
Nate Robinson, G Thursday 11/12, 12:07 PM CT
The New York Times reports that Knicks guard Nate Robinson may return to the lineup on Friday.

Our View: Robinson was expected to play Wednesday, but his ankle was still too sore. He's been running on it but is currently limited to cutting only one direction. Expect him to be a game-time decision on Friday, as he could play, but don't be surprised if he misses another contest.
Toney Douglas, G Thursday 11/12, 12:02 PM CT
Newsday reports that after averaging 22 points in his last two games, Toney Douglas could replace Chris Duhon as the Knicks starting point guard.

Our View: Duhon has been terrible this season and hasn't been able to run the offense anywhere near as efficiently as he did last year. With Douglas making strides offensively in his rookie season, he may be the best option for the Knicks right now. Larry Hughes has potential to be the starter as well, but why not go with a young gun and see if he can prove himself. Douglas is now a very intriguing waiver pickup.
Toney Douglas, G Wednesday 11/11, 10:10 PM CT
Toney Douglas poured in 23 points in tonight's 114-101 loss to the Hawks, to go along with four boards and one assist. He made 2-of-6 shots from three-point range.

Our View: The rookie out of Florida State is performing well right now, as he averages 20 points over his last three games. His fantasy stock is on the rise, and is worth a look if available on the waiver wire.
Al Harrington, F Wednesday 11/11, 10:07 PM CT
Al Harrington looked good in tonight's 114-101 loss to the Hawks, as he racked up 23 points, 12 boards, three assists and three steals.

Our View: Harrington picked up his first double-double of the season, and topped 20 points for the third time.
Nate Robinson, G Wednesday 11/11, 10:14 AM CT
The New York Post is reporting that Knicks' guard Nate Robinson will test his injured right ankle on Wednesday morning before making decision on his status for the game against the Hawks. Robinson hasn't played since the end of October with the sprained right ankle.

Our View: Robinson is expecting to play, but he wants to test the ankle this morning to make sure. We will update his status before the game, so check back for before tip-off.
Nate Robinson, G Tuesday 11/10, 2:10 PM CT
Nate Robinson (ankle) returned to Knicks practice on Tuesday, and may be able to play against the Hawks on Wednesday, according to Newsday.

Our View: Robinson has not played since Halloween. He was averaging just 8.7 points per game before going down, but is a safe bet to score at least ten a night once he is healthy.
Eddy Curry, C Tuesday 11/10, 2:07 PM CT
A "chiseled" Eddy Curry (calf) returned to Knicks practice on Tuesday for the first time since training camp, according to Newsday.

Our View: Curry reportedly looked as lean as he had in some time, perhaps ever. He is down below 300 pounds after some reports had him as high as 360 toward the end of last season. With the Knicks woefully undersized up front, his potential return next week would be a huge boost.
Toney Douglas, G Monday 11/9, 9:20 PM CT
Toney Douglas had a breakout scoring night on Monday, dropping a career-high 21 points on the Jazz in the Knicks' two-point loss. Douglas was 9-for-14 shooting from the field in the game.

Our View: The rookie Douglas has only been getting about 10 minutes of playing time per game, but he played just over 23 tonight. He has the ability to score, but he will have to see more consistent playing time if he wants to be fantasy relevant.
Wilson Chandler, F Monday 11/9, 9:16 PM CT
Wilson Chandler posted his first double-double of the season on Monday in the Knicks' 95-93 loss to the Jazz. Chandler scored 17 points and had 10 rebounds in the game.

Our View: This was Chandler's best performance of the season to date, especially on the glass. He was averaging only 5.6 rebounds heading into tonight, so 10 rebounds is a healthy number. Chandler has a ton of potential, but he is still inconsistent at this point in his career.
Nate Robinson, G Monday 11/9, 6:37 PM CT
According to the Twitter page of NBA writer Chris Colston, Knicks' guard Nate Robinson is expected to return to the team by the end of the week. Robinson has missed five straight games with a sprained ankle.

Our View: Robinson should be able to provide a spark for the Knicks upon his return, but they are in too much trouble to be saved by just one player of Robinson's caliber. He was averaging only 8.7 points in three games, but he should be able to provide some offense upon his return.
Nate Robinson, G Monday 11/9, 10:12 AM CT
Nate Robinson is expected to miss his fifth straight game on Monday as he deals with a sprained ankle, according to the New York Daily News.

Our View: The Knicks, who have looked amazingly lethargic in their past few "performances," sorely miss Robinson's energy and instant offense off of the bench. He is considered day-to-day.
David Lee, C Saturday 11/7, 10:58 PM CT
The Knicks' struggles continued on Saturday, but big man David Lee was his usual self in the 102-87 loss to the Bucks. Lee scored 18 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and dished four assists in the win.

Our View: The seven boards is a bit low for Lee, but his 18 points were right around his average for the season. There won't be many nights when he doesn't post a double-double, so fantasy owners shouldn't worry too much about his lack of rebounding over the past two games.
Nate Robinson, G Saturday 11/7, 12:50 PM CT
Nate Robinson will likely miss his fourth straight game on Saturday, according to the New York Times.

Our View: Robinson is averaging just 8.7 points per game this season, and seems to be coming back down to earth as a player. Don't expect another 17-point average from the diminutive guard this season.
David Lee, C Friday 11/6, 10:26 PM CT
David Lee scored a team-high 21 points in Friday's 100-91 loss to Cleveland, to go along with six rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Our View: Lee failed to reach a double-double, but still had a quality performance for fantasy owners. He averages 23 points over his last three games.
Eddy Curry, C Thursday 11/5, 10:13 AM CT
The New York Knicks are expecting center Eddy Curry to be cleared for practice by next Tuesday, according to the New York Post. Curry is scheduled to be reevaluated on Sunday as he recovers from his calf injury.

Our View: The team sounds pretty confident that Curry will be ready to get on the floor Tuesday, but we should know more Sunday for sure. He played in only three games last season, but could be worth keeping an eye on if he comes back healthy.
Al Harrington, F Wednesday 11/4, 10:08 PM CT
Al Harrington came off the bench to have another big night on Wednesday in the Knicks' loss to the Pacers. Harrington scored 22 points, he had nine rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two blocked shots.

Our View: Harrington has been a bit more well-rounded to start this season, much to his fantasy owners' delight. The scoring is there consistently, but his value is rising thanks to his ability to grab a few boards, get a few steals and block a few shots.
David Lee, C Wednesday 11/4, 10:05 PM CT
David Lee had another huge night for the Knicks on Wednesday, but New York still feel to the Pacers by a score of 101-89. Lee scored 20 points and grabbed 19 rebounds in the game.

Our View: Lee is averaging a double-double already this season, but he was just a monster tonight with 19 rebounds. He might not be the flashiest player in the league, but he is a rock-solid fantasy performer and should not be taken for granted.
Al Harrington, F Monday 11/2, 9:25 PM CT
Al Harrington did a little bit of everything on Monday as the Knicks defeated the Hornets 117-111. Harrington scored 24 points, grabbed eight rebounds, dished two assists, and added a steal and a blocked shot.

Our View: We know Harrington can score, but the other contributions tonight were very nice for owners. His 8-for-21 shooting wasn't great, but owners will take an outing like this any time.
David Lee, C Monday 11/2, 9:22 PM CT
David Lee led the way for the Knicks on Monday as New York defeated the Hornets 117-111. Lee had 28 points on 13-for-17 shooting in the game.

Our View: Lee had eight rebounds and three assists in the win as well, so another nice fantasy night for him. He is a consistent fantasy producer, especially in points and rebounds, and he should continue to be so all season.
Larry Hughes, G Monday 11/2, 8:09 PM CT
Knicks' guard Larry Hughes started at shooting guard for the team on Monday night against the Hornets. Hughes replaced Jared Jeffries in the starting lineup for New York.

Our View: Hughes was coming off an 18-point performance in the previous game, so coach Mike D'Antoni gave him the start tonight. The Knicks' lineup looks pretty fluid at the moment, so he could find himself back on the bench if his play starts to slip.
Al Harrington, F Sunday 11/1, 5:53 PM CT
Al Harrington has been fined $25,000 for criticizing the refs after Friday's overtime loss to the Bobcats, according to a press release.

Our View: Harrington went off for 42 points the following night. He doesn't provide a whole lot of production aside from points, but he should average more than 20 per game once again this season.
Nate Robinson, G Sunday 11/1, 1:33 PM CT
The New York Daily News is reporting that Knicks' guard Nate Robinson will miss up to two weeks with a sprained ankle. Robinson suffered the injury in Saturday's loss to the Sixers.

Our View: Robinson will have the ankle X-rayed either today or tomorrow, but the team doesn't expect him to miss more than two weeks. Larry Hughes and Toney Douglas will both see more time with Robinson out.
