Ray Allen, G Friday 11/20, 10:01 PM CT
Ray Allen scored 15 points, dished six assists, and grabbed four rebounds in the Celtics' loss to the Magic on Friday.

Our View: The Celtics scored only 78 points tonight, so it was a defensive struggle all night. Allen had another nice all-around night, and he continues to put up nice numbers for fantasy owners.
Kevin Garnett, F Friday 11/20, 10:04 PM CT
Kevin Garnett scored just 13 points on Friday, but he grabbed 11 boards as well as the Celtics fell to the Magic 83-78.

Our View: Not the best scoring night for KG, but he delivered on the boards tonight as well. It was a tough loss for the Celtics, but Garnett and the boys should have no problem bouncing back.
Rajon Rondo, G Wednesday 11/18, 10:18 PM CT
Rajon Rondo was dazzling in Wednesday's 109-95 win over the Warriors, as he racked up 18 points, 12 assists, seven boards and one steal.

Our View: The star point guard generated another strong overall statline for fantasy owners. He picked up his seventh double-double, and tied his single-game high in scoring for 2009-10.
Mike Sweetney, F Tuesday 11/17, 9:06 AM CT
NBA writer Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that free agent forward Mike Sweetney turned down a workout with the Memphis Grizzlies. Sweetney may be close to signing a deal to play overseas.

Our View: Sweetney is still dealing with his weight issues, but apparently he would rather play in China that suit up for the Grizz. He doesn't appear to have any fantasy production in his future, unless you are in a Chinese fantasy basketball league with your buddies.
Paul Pierce, G Tuesday 11/17, 5:02 PM CT
According to the Miami Herald, Paul Pierce (knee) returned to practice on Tuesday.

Our View: Pierce missed yesterday's practice and was expected to be out today as well, so it was a pleasant surprise that he returned early. He played through the injury on Saturday and with his early return, one would assume he'll be ready to return to game action on Wednesday. It's probably best to check on him again before tip off though.
Paul Pierce, G Monday 11/16, 3:44 PM CT
Paul Pierce (left knee sprain) is questionable for the Celtics' game against the Warriors on Wednesday, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View: He will not practice on Tuesday. Pierce already played through the injury on Saturday (something coach Doc Rivers now calls a mistake), so it's hard to envision him sitting out on Wednesday. Check back, but expect him to play.
Paul Pierce, G Saturday 11/14, 6:03 PM CT
Paul Pierce is dealing with a bruised knee sustained in Friday's game against the Hawks, but he is expected to play tonight at Indiana, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View: His knee is tender, but the team captain will start and should be OK to employ in fantasy lineups.
Ray Allen, G Saturday 11/14, 9:07 PM CT
Ray Allen led the Celtics with 24 points in tonight's 113-104 loss at Indiana. He also had five rebounds, four assists and two steals.

Our View: Allen could not make Boston win tonight, but had a very nice night for fantasy owners. He reached a new single-game high in scoring for 2009-10.
Paul Pierce, G Friday 11/13, 10:22 PM CT
Paul Pierce put up 24 points for the Celtics on Friday, but it wasn't enough as they fell 97-86 to the Hawks.

Our View: Pierce had three rebounds and two assists in the game as well, but it was his shooting that stood out for the Celtics. He hit eight of his 16 shots from the field, but missed on all four attempts from three-point land. The 24 points were six above his season average.
Kendrick Perkins, C Friday 11/13, 10:25 PM CT
Kendrick Perkins recorded 14 points and nine rebounds in Friday's 97-86 loss to the Hawks.

Our View: This was a big game for Perkins who averaged 9.6 PPG and 6.2 RPG coming in. The bump in scoring could be attributed to the fact that he played 29 minutes and change, four above his season average.
Rajon Rondo, G Wednesday 11/11, 8:55 PM CT
Rajon Rondo scored 14 points and dished out 11 assists on Wednesday night, helping the Celtics ease by the Jazz 105-86.

Our View: Things are looking easy for the Celts this season, and Rondo is a big reason why. It's starting to look more and more like there's a big four, and not just a big three, in Beantown.
Paul Pierce, G Wednesday 11/11, 8:57 PM CT
Paul Pierce did it all on Wednesday, scoring 13 points, hitting three threes and picking up six rebounds, six assists and three steals, as the Celtics blew out the Jazz 105-86.

Our View: Just another monster night for the unheralded heart and soul of Boston's big three.
Bill Walker, G Monday 11/9, 9:48 AM CT
Bill Walker could practice on Monday for the first time since undergoing knee surgery on October 2, according to the Boston Herald.

Our View: Once Walker is healthy, he will be no more than the Celtics' 14th or 15th player, and isn't headed toward any fantasy value any time soon.
Rajon Rondo, G Saturday 11/7, 9:13 PM CT
Rajon Rondo scored 16 points and added four rebounds and three assists in the Celtics' 86-76 win over the Nets on Saturday. Rondo was 8-for-11 shooting from the field.

Our View: The Celtics' offense wasn't overly impressive tonight, but they picked a good team to struggle against in the Nets. Rondo's assist totals were a bit low tonight, but with all the offensive power in Boston he should have no problem in that category.
Paul Pierce, G Saturday 11/7, 9:17 PM CT
Paul Pierce led the Celtics in scoring on Saturday as Boston defeated the Nets 86-76. Pierce had 16 points to go along with his seven assists in the win.

Our View: Pierce didn't grab a rebound tonight, which is a bit surprising considering he was averaging 5.6 boards per game entering the contest. Boston didn't play well as a team tonight, but they were still good enough to beat the lowly Nets.
Kevin Garnett, F Friday 11/6, 10:53 PM CT
Kevin Garnett performed well in Friday's 110-103 loss to the Suns, as he collected a team-high 26 points and eight rebounds. He also had four assists, two steals and a block.

Our View: Garnett topped 20 points for the first time this season, and fantasy owners should be pleased with his statline. He should have a strong season, as long as he can avoid the injury bug.
Rajon Rondo, G Wednesday 11/4, 10:15 PM CT
Rajon Rondo led the Celtics in scoring on Wednesday as they held on to beat the T-Wolves 92-90. Rondo scored 18 points and dished out six assists in the victory.

Our View: All five starters scored in double-figures in this game, but Rondo led the way with his 18. He also grabbed four boards, and he was the best player on the floor for Boston tonight.
Kevin Garnett, F Wednesday 11/4, 10:18 PM CT
Kevin Garnett finished with another double-double on Wednesday as the Celtics beat the Wolves 92-90. Garnett scored 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the win.

Our View: Garnett was just over his 11.2 points per game average tonight, but the 11 boards was a very nice output. He figures to continue to get stronger as the season goes on, but he is still a very good player right now.
Paul Pierce, G Tuesday 11/3, 10:03 PM CT
Paul Pierce led the Celtics in Tuesday's 105-74 win at Philadelphia, as he scored 21 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals.

Our View: The veteran forward averages 23.3 points over his last three games, all resulting in wins for Boston. Expect him to continue to perform well.
Rasheed Wallace, C Tuesday 11/3, 10:07 PM CT
Rasheed Wallace scored 20 points off the bench in tonight's 105-74 win at Philadelphia. He also chipped in six rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block over 23:56 minutes of action.

Our View: Wallace had his best game of the season so far, but will not be a reliable fantasy option while working as a reserve.
Rajon Rondo, G Monday 11/2, 8:51 AM CT
Rajon Rondo has agreed to a five-year conract extension with the Boston Celtics worth "at least" $55 million, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View: After nearly trading Rondo last offseason, the Celts have now locked him up. It's not hard to see why. One of the most complete point guards in the league, Rondo is averaging 6.5 points, five rebounds 2.5 steals and 11.8 assists per game so far in 2009-10.
Brian Scalabrine, F Sunday 11/1, 4:56 PM CT
Brian Scalabrine, who has not yet played this season due to a sprained ankle, will be active for tonight's game against the Hornets, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View: Scalabrine is not fantasy worthy mostly due to lack of playing time. He will likely only play in garbage time.
Paul Pierce, G Sunday 11/1, 7:29 PM CT
Paul Pierce led all scorers with 27 points in Sunday night's 97-87 win over the Hornets. He hit 10-of-14 from the field while also contributing four boards, three treys, two assists, and two steals.

Our View: Pierce has been about the best fantasy option on the Celtics through four games. He has been particularly deadly behind the arc where he has made more than half of his shots. He has 13 treys on the season.
Rajon Rondo, G Sunday 11/1, 7:32 PM CT
Rajon Rondo only had six points on seven shots, but he did contribute 10 assists, three rebounds, and three steals in Boston's win over the Hornets.

Our View: Rondo has not scored much this season, but has proven to be a very valuable fantasy option in the mold of Jason Kidd. He has 49 assists through four games.
Rajon Rondo, G Sunday 11/1, 9:05 PM CT
The Boston Globe reports that Rajon Rondo had his ankle heavily iced and wrapped following Sunday's win over the Hornets. He suffered the injury in the first quarter of the game, but was able to play through it.

Our View: Rondo should be fine to keep in your lineups this week. He has not scored much this season, but has produced good assist, rebound, and steals totals.
