Newsbreakers
November 6, 2009
Kevin Garnett performed well in Friday's 110-103 loss to the Suns, as he collected a team-high 26 points and eight rebounds. He also had four assists, two steals and a block.

Our View:Garnett topped 20 points for the first time this season, and fantasy owners should be pleased with his statline. He should have a strong season, as long as he can avoid the injury bug.
November 4, 2009
Kevin Garnett finished with another double-double on Wednesday as the Celtics beat the Wolves 92-90. Garnett scored 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the win.

Our View:Garnett was just over his 11.2 points per game average tonight, but the 11 boards was a very nice output. He figures to continue to get stronger as the season goes on, but he is still a very good player right now.
October 27, 2009
Kevin Garnett is off to a good start, as he racked up 13 points and 10 boards in tonight's 95-89 win at Cleveland. He also chipped in one assist, one steal and three blocks.

Our View:It is encouraging to see Garnett pick up a double-double in the season opener, as he tries to bounce back from an injury-spoiled 2008-09 campaign.
October 18, 2009
Kevin Garnett had 21 points and four boards on Sunday as the Celtics defeated the Raptors by a score of 101-82. Garnett played just under 28 minutes in the game.

Our View:KG looks as good as ever so far this preseason, and the Celtics look poised to make another run at a title if they can stay healthy. Garnett should be a fantasy force yet again as long as he can stay healthy througout the year.
October 14, 2009
Kevin Garnett scored 16 points and grabbed 6 boards on Wednesday to lead the Celtics to a 106-90 win over the Raptors. Garnett also added two assists and two blocks in the win.

Our View:KG played just under 23 minutes tonight, so his production over that time is very impressive. He looks healthy and energetic, and the Celtics look like a force in the East yet again.
October 11, 2009
Kevin Garnett played a bit over 21 minutes on Sunday and chipped in 12 points and six boards as the Celtics beat the Nets 100-93.

Our View:Garnett looked healthy today, and he managed to fill up the scoresheet in only 21 minutes on the floor. Garnett says he is ready for the season to begin, and we believe him. As long as he is healthy, he should continue to be a very good fantasy contributor.
October 7, 2009
Kevin Garnett's surgically repaired knee held up in Wednesday's 96-90 preseason loss to the Rockets.

Our View:The Celtic's big man managed six points, five rebounds, an assist and two steals in his 13-plus minutes of playing time. He wasn't in there long, but looks like he was effective in his limited role. Boston is likely still being careful with him though.
October 7, 2009
According to the Boston Globe, Kevin Garnett will play in Wednesday's preseason game against the Rockets.

Our View:This will be the big man's first action since undergoing offseason knee surgery. He apparently has been progressing well, and the fact that Doc Rivers is willing to start him in a meaningless preseason game speaks volumes about the health of his knee. Still, he'll have to do plenty more convincing before fantasy owners will feel safe drafting him, and there's no guarantee he'll return to elite status.
September 18, 2009
Celtics' GM Danny Ainge told the Boston Herald on Friday that Kevin Garnett is progressing well and that he should be ready for training camp. The team doesn't want to declare him 100 percent just yet, but reports coming out of Boston are positive.

Our View:Garnett has been ahead of schedule all summer, and it sounds like he will be ready when the team opens camp. If Garnett and the rest of the aging Celts can stay healthy for a majority of this season, they will contend for another NBA title.
July 10, 2009
Kevin Garnett is ahead of schedule in his recovery from arthroscopic knee surgery, and should be 100 percent for training camp, according the Boston Herald.

Our View:The Celtics will obviously need Garnett to be 100 percent healthy this year if they want to win their second title in three seasons, and it is a great sign that he has suffered no setbacks this offseason. After making it within one game of the conference finals without him last season, the Celts are a good bet to be in the mix for the Eastern Conference championship with him in 2009-10.
June 24, 2009
According to the Boston Herald, Celtics GM Danny Ainge says that Kevin Garnett (knee) will be 100 percent by the start of training camp.

Our View:KG's rehab is apparently going very well and the Celtics have to be thrilled that he'll be ready to go for the 2009-2010 season. They're obviously a much better team with him on the court.
June 4, 2009
The Boston Globe is reporting that Kevin Garnett is recovering well from knee surgery. Garnett reportedly told Celtics' owner Wye Grousbeck that he is guaranteeing Celtics' championships in 2010 and 2011.

Our View:Garnett sounds like he is fired up for next season, but the back-to-back prediction seems a bit premature. Celtics fans should be very happy that Garnett is so excited, but you shouldn't pencil in the Celts as champs just yet.
May 26, 2009
Kevin Garnett underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee today to remove posterior bone spurs, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:The star forward is expected to need 6-8 weeks of recovery time. He is expected to be fully recovered for next season.
May 20, 2009
Kevin Garnett will undergo surgery on his right knee (bone spurs) at some point next week, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:Garnett will be having knee surgery for the first time in his career. The procedure was delayed in hope that he could return in the playoffs if the Celtics advanced further. He is expected to make a full recovery for next season.
May 18, 2009
The Boston Globe reports that Celtics coach Doc Rivers admitted that the team was still hoping Kevin Garnett would be able to return if they had made it to the Eastern Conference Finals. The coach also indicated that KG will have to have surgery on his injured knee, but was holding off on it in hopes of playing the Cavs next round. The Celts were blown out at home by the Magic on Sunday.

Our View:The surgery is not believed to be a serious one, and it seems like the team expects to have him back for the preseason. However, expect KG to take his sweet time throughout his rehab. There's no doubt he would rather miss the first 20 games of the season as opposed to the last 20.
May 13, 2009
Team president Danny Ainge indicated that Kevin Garnett's rehab from a knee injury is going well, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:This is encouraging, but Ainge added that the Celtics still do not plan on Garnett returning in the playoffs. The Celtics have been managing fine without him, as they currently hold a 3-2 lead over the Magic in the second round.
May 6, 2009
Danny Ainge said that he has not completely ruled out Kevin Garnett playing in the playoffs, but the forward is still to sore to go, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:This leaves the door open for a return in a possible elimination game, but don't count him coming back this postseason. His sprained knee is simply to sore for him to go full speed.
May 1, 2009
Celtics' president Danny Ainge said that Kevin Garnett will not play in Game 7 against the Bulls and also does not expect him to return if the team advances to the second-round and beyond, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:Garnett is dealing with a knee ailment. Coach Doc Rivers is a little bit more optimistic about him returning later in the playoffs, but the club has to knock off the Bulls before that becomes a possibility.
April 28, 2009
According to the Boston Globe, there is a chance that Kevin Garnett could play if the Celtics advance to the next round of the playoffs.

Our View:Coach Doc Rivers is skeptical, but it still remains a possibility, which is all Celtics' fans need to hear. Rivers stated, "Yeah, there's a chance, but it's not a very good one."
April 20, 2009
Kevin Garnett may delay his knee surgery with optimism that his injury will improve enough for him to return at some point during the playoffs, according to the Boston Herald. Coach Doc Rivers said, "He is thinking about surgery, and it looks like that is the way he wants to go, but I think he might wait. We think he should wait, because you never know. It is hard because one day he looked great and you think he is definitely coming back, and then you see him run and you realize he just cannot play."

Our View:Garnett is not expected to return in the opening round against Chicago. The Celtics currently trail in the series 1-0.
April 19, 2009
Kevin Garnett is apparently actively seeking a date to undergo surgery on his right knee, according to the Boston Herald. "The knee is hurting him too bad right now," one source said. "He just can't play."

Our View:With each passing day, it appears more and more likely that Garnett will indeed be unavailable for Boston this entire postseason, regardless of how far the defending champs advance. The Celtics sure missed Garnett's presence on Saturday, losing home-court advantage in their series against the Bulls with a 105-103 overtime loss, getting outrebounded by nine. It looks like they'll have to figure out a way to win without Garnett if they want to advance.
April 18, 2009
Five NBA trainers believe Kevin Garnett could potentially return if the Celtics advance in the playoffs, according to Sports Illustrated. One of the trainers said, "I was really surprised when they announced he was done. If that really is his injury, he could definitely be back on the court."

Our View:The Celtics feel that Garnett could miss the entire postseason with his strained popliteus tendon in the back of his knee, but there seems to be a chance he could return at some point. The Celtics will host the Bulls in the first game of the playoffs today at TD Banknorth Garden.
April 16, 2009
The Boston Globe reports that Kevin Garnett could miss the entire post-season. The forward has appeared in only three games since spraining his knee on February 19.

Our View:The timing of this and the contradiction it makes against previous reports point to the possibility that this may be a masquerade tactic from coach Doc Rivers. Garnett is among the most intense competitors in the game and if he feels he can contribute to the Celtics, he would likely get back on the floor. The Celtics are 18-7 without KG this season.
April 13, 2009
Updating an earlier report, the Celtics decided that Kevin Garnett will not play in either of the last two games of the regular season, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:Coach Doc Rivers noted that he is being careful, and does not see the benefit of Garnett returning prior to the start of the playoffs. Garnett has been nursing a knee ailment.
April 13, 2009
Kevin Garnett's status for Tuesday's game at Philadelphia is yet to be set, according to the Boston Globe. He is recovering from a knee ailment.

Our View:If Garnett does not play Tuesday, he should see some action in Wednesday's regular season finale against Washington to gear up for the playoffs.
April 11, 2009
Coach Doc Rivers said that Kevin Garnett will play in either Tuesday's game at Philadelphia or Wednesday's game at Washington, but he wouldn't play in both, according to the Boston Globe. Rivers said the Wednesday game is more likely and that there would be no minute restriction on Garnett, who is coming back from a knee injury.

Our View:It's good to know that Garnett's minutes won't be limited. Owners that hung on to him might be able to get one more good game out of him to help their championship push
April 8, 2009
Updating a previous report, Kevin Garnett will participate in the Celtics practice on Monday and expects to play next Tuesday against the 76ers, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:It figures to be too little too late for fantasy owners and his playing time will probably be limited. The Celtics are just hoping that he will be ready to contribute in the playoffs.
April 8, 2009
Kevin Garnett (sore right knee) will not play Sunday against the Cavaliers, but will will participate in the pregame shootaround April 14 against the Sixers and could play in that game, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:When Garnett does return, his minutes will be limited while the Celtics get him ready for the start of the playoffs.
April 5, 2009
Head coach Doc Rivers said the Kevin Garnett isn't expected to return to practice anytime this week as he continues to be hindered by a sore right knee, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:Garnett was originally targeting a return to action next Sunday against Cleveland, but if he does in fact miss the entire week of practice, that seems quite unlikely. It's starting to look more and more possible that Garnett could be out the remainder of the regular season to ensure he's as healthy as possible for Boston's playoff run. While it may mean that you could miss a game or two out of him at the end of the year, it probably would not be ludicrous to drop KG from your fantasy roster at this point, assuming you aren't in a keeper league, in favor of someone that you know will be active and logging minutes.
March 31, 2009
Kevin Garnett will remain on the shelf due to concerns with his sore right knee, according to the Associated Press. Coach Doc Rivers said, "After watching him move today, we are just going to shut him down. It probably will not be for the year. He will probably play by the end, last couple of games, or last three games. It is just not progressing the way we anticipated it would progress."

Our View:Garnett will likely play a few games at the end of the regular season to gear up for the playoffs. Keep him reserved until further notice.
March 30, 2009
Kevin Garnett is considered doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Bobcats due to his sore right knee, according to the Boston Globe. Coach Doc Rivers said, "I just think we have got to be smart about it. It is just like when somebody says somebody is going to be back in a week or two, that is not a guarantee. If a guy gets sore, do we play him because we say he is supposed to be back playing? You just use your common sense."

Our View:Keep Garnett reserved until further notice. Glen Davis has performed well in his place, as he contributed 19 points and 10 boards Sunday against the Thunder.
March 29, 2009
Kevin Garnett is nursing a sore right knee and may not be ready to return to the court until Wednesday at home against the Bobcats, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:Garnett should be held out of fantasy lineups for Sunday's game against the Thunder. He is not feeling great and the club is not going to push him to play.
March 27, 2009
According to the Boston Globe, Kevin Garnett is out for Friday's contest against Atlanta.

Our View:Garnett has been a roller coaster since his injury and is driving fantasy owners batty. He's constantly day-to-day and can't be counted on for a start. You may want to consider dropping him. Glen Davis will get the start in his stead.
March 26, 2009
Kevin Garnett will see his playing time ramped up by about eight minutes next week, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:Garnett has played eight minutes in the first quarter, as well as the third, and will see that increase to that total plus four minutes in the second and fourth quarters.
March 25, 2009
Kevin Garnett will play sparingly on Wednesday against the Magic, according to Slam! The forward has not registered more than 18 minutes in any of his three games since returning from a knee injury.

Our View:Seeing how this game could go a long ways to determining who holds the No. 2 seed, we would expect KG to play more than the article lets on. He has been very efficient in his last three games, and he should still be inserted into lineups for tonight's match up.
March 23, 2009
Kevin Garnett was a perfect 5-for-5 from the field in 18 minutes on Monday against the Clippers. He finished the Celtics' 90-77 win with 12 points, two rebounds, two assists, and one steal.

Our View:Head coach Doc Rivers is starting to extend Garnett's minutes now. He has now played 18, 17, and 15 minutes in his last three games, respectively, and might get stretched to over 20 minutes per game some time this week.
March 23, 2009
The Boston Globe reports that Kevin Garnett went through his regular preparation in Monday's shootaround and he could see his minutes increased in tonight's game against the Clippers.

Our View:Garnett was limited to just 15 minutes against the Grizzlies on Saturday, as he was returning from a strained knee. He is probably a few games away from playing at 100 percent, but he should be a solid contributor for his fantasy owners down the stretch.
March 22, 2009
Kevin Garnett was limited to about 15 minutes against the Grizzlies Saturday, but head coach Doc Rivers hopes to extend his playing time Monday night against the Clippers, according to the Associated Press.

Our View:Rivers also said he hopes to squeeze Garnett into the game for a couple of four-minute stretches in the second and fourth quarters. The injured knee, which has tended to stiffen up on Garnett, has allowed the All-Star to play only small increments at the beginning of each half.
March 20, 2009
Kevin Garnett is believed to be set to return to the court tonight against the Spurs following his long bout with a strained knee, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:This is good news, but Garnett is expected to be limited in his first game back, meaning he should remain held out of fantasy lineups to be safe.
March 19, 2009
Kevin Garnett is travelling with the Celtics to San Antonio, according to the Boston Globe. Garnett has not played in a month, due to a strained knee.

Our View:KG has not been on a road trip since suffering the injury on February 19. He has been working out this week, but he is still considered questionable to return this weekend.
March 17, 2009
Updating a previous report, Kevin Garnett has not yet been medically cleared to play and may miss one or both of Friday and Saturday's games, according to the Boston Globe. The team has been non-committal about his status.

Our View:He will most likely be a game time decision for both games this weekend, but should be a safe bet to start next week.
March 15, 2009
Head coach Doc Rivers said Sunday there's a 50-percent chance injured forward Kevin Garnett could return to the lineup in time for Boston's matchup with San Antonio on Friday, according to the Boston Globe. Rivers also gave the same prognosis for forward Glen Davis.

Our View:Neither Garnett nor Davis, should they return on Friday, will do so with the benefit of a practice.
March 14, 2009
Kevin Garnett is progressing in his recovery from a strained right knee, according to the Boston Globe. Coach Doc Rivers said, "Garnett told me he felt great, the best he has felt in a while. That does not mean he is playing any time soon, but that is a step forward."

Our View:He is not expected to return to the court until March 20 against the Spurs. If so, Garnett would miss three more games.
March 9, 2009
WEEI Radio in Boston is stating that Kevin Garnett won't be ready to return to the court until March 20 against the Spurs due to his strained right knee, according to CelticsBlog.com.

Our View:So it does not look like Garnett will be returning this Sunday against the Bucks as he previously anticipated. The club was not as confident as he was regarding Sunday.
March 8, 2009
Kevin Garnett is aiming for next Sunday's game against the Bucks to return to the court, according to the Boston Globe. He is recovering from a strained right knee.

Our View:The club is not as confident as Garnett regarding his return Sunday, however. We will keep you posted on his status.
March 6, 2009
Coach Doc Rivers has indicated that Kevin Garnett will be on the shelf for at least another week while recovering from a strained right knee, according to the Sports Network.

February 26, 2009
Kevin Garnett is progressing in his recovery from a strained right knee, according to the Boston Globe. Coach Doc Rivers said, "No concerns with KG as far as future health. But we just want to get him healthy and we want to have him 100 percent. We do not want to take any chances during the regular season."

Our View:The club did not speculate when he may return, and there is no rush with a 16.5-game lead at the top of the Atlantic division.
February 22, 2009
Kevin Garnett has had trouble with his right knee all season, according to the New York Daily News.

Our View:Garnett, who will miss 2-to-3 weeks with the injury, may have to sit out against the Cavs on March 6th and the Magic on March 8th, which are the Celtics' biggest competition for the top seed in the Eastern Conference.
February 21, 2009
The AFP reports that Kevin Garnett will miss two to three weeks because of his strained right knee that he suffered on Thursday against Utah.

Our View:This is a big blow for the Celtics and KG's fantasy oweners. The power forward is a critical component to the defending champs roster, and he was probably a first round pick in many fantasy success. Look for Leon Powe to replace him in the starting lineup.
February 20, 2009
Kevin Garnett will miss the next three games while recovering from a strained right knee, according to the Associated Press.

Our View:Garnett will miss outings against the Suns, Nuggets and Clippers. Boston returns home to battle the Pacers on February 27.
February 20, 2009
It has been determined that Kevin Garnett suffered a strained knee when forced to exit Thursday's battle with Utah, according to the Boston Herald. The knee has been bothering him for a few weeks and he will be re-evaluated today.

Our View:The Celtics do not play again until Sunday, giving Garnett some time to recover. Stay tuned for further updates on the reigning Defensive Player of the Year.
February 19, 2009
Kevin Garnett left Thursday's game in the second quarter with a right leg injury, according to SportsTicker.

Our View:His return to the game is uncertain at this point. He came down wrong on his right leg after going up for a rebound against Utah.
February 12, 2009
Kevin Garnett got in foul trouble and scored just 16 points in the Celtics 99-92 win over Dallas.

Our View:Garnett did not have a block and pulled down just five rebounds in the game. Chalk this one up to an off-night for the big fella.
February 12, 2009
Celtics coach Doc Rivers got ejected on Thursday night in the game against the Mavericks.

Our View:Rivers was protesting two fouls on Kevin Garnett called within an 11-second span in the third quarter.
February 8, 2009
Kevin Garnett performed well in Sunday's 105-99 loss to the Spurs, as he scored a game-high 26 points, with 12 boards, four assists, two steals and a block. He made his second three-pointer of the season as well, and he did not have a turnover.

Our View:He was not able to lead the Celtics to a win, but fantasy owners should still be very pleased with his performance.
February 5, 2009
Kevin Garnett was 7-of-12 from the field in 33 minutes for the Celtics in their 110-109 loss to the Lakers on Thursday. Garnett ended the game with 16 points and six rebounds.

Our View:It was not the best result for KG but not bad for a guy battling the flu. He had missed two straight games with an illness and should only improve on the court from here.
February 5, 2009
Kevin Garnett will play tonight against the Lakers after missing the last two games with the flu, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:Get him into your lineup tonight without any second guessing. Garnett is looking to help the Celtics win their 13th game in a row tonight.
February 5, 2009
Kevin Garnett is expected to play tonight against the Lakers after missing the last two games with the flu, according to the Sports Network.

Our View:The defending Defensive Player of the Year should be penciled into lineups against the rival Lakers. Garnett racked up 22 points and nine boards in his last meeting with Los Angeles.
February 3, 2009
Kevin Garnett missed Tuesday's game against the Sixers with the flu, according to the Sports Network.

Our View:Garnett has missed two straight games with the flu and will attempt to play on Thursday against the Lakers. The Sixers inside play will most defiantly benefit from the lack of Garnett in the lineup.
February 2, 2009
Kevin Garnett did not practice today while dealing with the flu and is expected to miss Tuesday's game against the Sixers, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:He should practice Wednesday in preparation for Thursday's battle with the Lakers. The Sixers will benefit with the defending Defensive Player of the Year out.
February 2, 2009
Coach Doc Rivers is uncertain if Kevin Garnett will be able to practice today and play Tuesday at Philadelphia, according to the Boston Globe. He missed Sunday's game with the flu. Rivers said, "He is pretty bad. I know his fever is pretty high. For Kevin not to play any game is unusual."

Our View:Garnett has a solid track record against the Sixers, averaging 20 points, 10.3 boards, 1.3 steals and 1.4 blocks over 28 career meetings. We will keep you posted on his status for tomorrow.
February 1, 2009
Kevin Garnett will miss Sunday's game against Minnesota due to the flu, according to the Boston Globe. Glen Davis will start in his place and Leon Powe will see extended minutes as well.

Our View:The Celtics should be ok without him against a young Minnesota team that gave them a championship last season when they dealth KG to Boston. This is not the first time that Garnett has come up with the flu for a game against the Timberwolves. Hmmmmm.....
January 31, 2009
Kevin Garnett had 22 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks as the Celtics survived the Pistons 86-78 on Friday. The All-Star hit 10-of-17 from the field.

Our View:KG continues to give strong, multi-category performances. He also came up with three assists, a steal, and perfect free throw shooting. There just are not many flaws to his game.
January 25, 2009
Kevin Garnett co-led the Celtics with 23 points in Sunday's 124-100 win over Dallas, to go along with two rebounds, four assists and one steal.

Our View:His rebounds were down today, but fantasy owners cannot complain as he had a solid all-around statline. He had his best scoring day since December 3, when he poured in 26 points against the Pacers.
January 22, 2009
Kevin Garnett was elected to start for the Eastern Confernce in this year's All-Star game, according to TNT. He finished ahead just slightly ahead of Yi Jianlian (seriously) to earn the honor.

Our View:Some could argue that Danny Granger or Chris Bosh deserved this spot, but KG is still a dominating force on both sides of the floor for the reigning champions. Fantasy-wise, he is very efficient and produces good numbers in every category, except for three-pointers.
January 21, 2009
Kevin Garnett recorded a double-double on Wednesday, finishing with 16 points, 13 rebounds, three steals, and one assist.

Our View:This was Garnett's third double-double in his last five games. He's been very efficient lately, as he's putting up these kind of numbers while averaging under 30 minutes during this span.
January 19, 2009
Kevin Garnett took advantage of Shaquille O'Neal's defense by hitting 7-of-10 shots to finish with 16 points, eight rebounds, three assists, three steals and one block as the Celtics defeated the Suns 104-87 on Monday.

Our View:KG needed just 25 minutes to do his damage tonight. The 32-year-old remains one of the best fantasy players at his position, despite a career-low 16.1 points per game.
January 17, 2009
Kevin Garnett recorded a double-double in Saturday's 105-85 win over the Nets, with 12 points and a team-high 10 boards. He also chipped in six assists.

January 12, 2009

January 9, 2009
Kevin Garnett scored 18 points and grabbed 15 rebounds as the Celtics fell 83-98 in Cleveland on Friday.

Our View:Garnett did his part, but the rest of the Big Three shot just 9-for-27 from the field. While Garnett should be averaging a double-double, he is averaging just 8.9 rebounds per game.
January 8, 2009
Kevin Garnett is dealing with soreness, namely in his right leg, according to the Boston Globe. Coach Doc Rivers said, "He has soreness all over his body right now. It's been a tough stretch for us. We're going to get a break later, we just have to get through this. I'm taking him out earlier than usual. We just have to make do with what we have."

Our View:Garnett does not need to sit out any games to recover, and should remain productive enough to start in fantasy leagues, even if he comes out of games earlier than usual.
January 6, 2009
Kevin Garnett was kneed in the right calf in his last game but is expected to be fine for tonight's battle at Charlotte, according to the Sports Network.

Our View:He should remain penciled into fantasy lineups, especially with a favorable match-up against the 12-22 Bobcats.
January 5, 2009
According to ESPN.com, the Celtics' Kevin Garnett would have no trouble accepting embattled Knicks guard Stephon Marbury, who is reportedly on his way out of New York and being pursued by the Boston front office. "I'm not opposed to Steph. I feel Steph still has a lot of basketball in him, I know his IQ is very, very high," Garnett said following Boston's 100-88 loss to Marbury-less New York Sunday. "He is one of the best point guards out there to play with."

Our View:It's difficult imaging the Celtics and Knicks coming together on a deal for Marbury, especially given the nature of the rivalry between the two cities and the presence of Rajon Rondo in the Celtics backcourt. Rondo has averaged a stellar 10.9 points and 7.6 assists per game this season.
January 4, 2009
The AP reports that Kevin Garnett appeared to have injured his calf in Sunday's 88-100 loss to the Knicks. KG finished with six points, nine rebounds, and five blocks on 1-for-6 shooting.

Our View:No word yet on how severe the injury may be. We will keep you posted. Despite Garnett's terrible shooting night, he was able to provide nice rebounding and shot blocking totals.
