The Miami Herald is reporting that Heat reserve center Jamaal Magloire has been suspended for the first two regular season games for his role in a preseason altercation with Pistons' Jonas Jerebko. Jerebko got a one-game suspension for retaliating to a punch from Magloire.

Our View:The Heat should be just fine without Magloire for the first two games, as he doesn't figure to get much more playing time this year than last, when he averaged 13 minutes a game. Unless the team is hit by the injury bug in their front-court, don't expect Magloire to make a big impact this season.

Center Jamaal Magloire has re-signed with the Heat, according to the AP. In 55 games last season, the former all-star averaged 2.9 points and 4.0 rebounds.

Our View:The Heat apparently find it necessary to have four centers on their roster, although they may try to trade Mark Blount's large expiring contract. Magloire has no fantasy value.

The Miami Herald is reporting that Jamaal Magloire would like to return to the Miami Heat next season. Magloire is a free agent and spent last season backing up Jermaine O'Neal after O'Neal was acquired via trade.

Our View:Magloire is a former all-star, but he is past his prime and would like to just stay in one place at this point in his career. His fantasy value will be very limited next season if he serves as the backup, but it is far from certain he will wind up back in Miami.
