November 2, 2009
Knicks' guard Larry Hughes started at shooting guard for the team on Monday night against the Hornets. Hughes replaced Jared Jeffries in the starting lineup for New York.

Our View:Hughes was coming off an 18-point performance in the previous game, so coach Mike D'Antoni gave him the start tonight. The Knicks' lineup looks pretty fluid at the moment, so he could find himself back on the bench if his play starts to slip.

There is speculation that the Knicks may try to buy out Larry Hughes, according to Sam Smith of NBA.com.

Our View:There is also belief that Hughes could return to the Cavaliers. He is shooting poorly so far in the preseason.

Larry Hughes is questionable for today's game against the Raptors while nursing a strained right ankle, according to the Sports Network.

Our View:Hughes averages 14.9 points and five boards over 24 career match-ups with Toronto, but could be hindered by the ailment if able to play today.

Updating an earlier report, Larry Hughes is likely to miss tonight's game at Denver after straining his right ankle Monday against Utah, according to the Sports Network.

Our View:Hughes should be held out of fantasy lineups, and the team did not speculate when he may be ready to return.

Larry Hughes strained his right ankle in Monday's battle with Utah, according to the Associated Press.

Our View:Hughes started in place of Quentin Richardson, who missed the game with a sprained left ankle. Hughes' status for tonight's game at Denver is yet to be determined.

Larry Hughes returned from his toe injury on Wednesday, in time to help the Knicks blow a 20-point lead on their way to a 140-135 overtime loss to the Clippers. Hughes played 29 minutes and finished with 13 points, one rebound, one assist, one steal, one block, and three three-pointers in the loss.

Our View:Hughes could get back into the starting lineup in the near future, and his value is significantly higher with the Knicks than it has been with any of his other teams in the past.
March 24, 2009
Larry Hughes is day-to-day while nursing a jammed big toe, according to Newsday. The ailment kept him out of Monday's game.

Our View:Quentin Richardson will be afforded more minutes until Hughes returns. The Knicks' next game is Wednesday against the Clippers.
March 21, 2009
According to the Star Tribune, Larry Hughes injured his big toe in Saturday's game against the Magic. The severity of the injury is unknown and he is considered day-to-day.

Our View:This isn't good news as Hughes has come on strong as of late. Keep an eye on him as he has been a recent fantasy contributor and is a nice addition to a fantasy lineup.
March 10, 2009
Larry Hughes scored a game-high 39 points for New York in their 120-112 win over the Bucks on Tuesday.

Our View:Hughes was left for dead in Chicago but has come back to give fantasy owners a jolt in March. He is averaging 21 points per game in his last five and is a strong play at this point.
March 4, 2009
Larry Hughes was back in the Knicks starting lineup in Wednesday's 109-105 win over the Hawks. He hit 9-of-18 shots and finished with 23 points, four rebounds, four assists, three steals, and two three-pointers.

Our View:Hughes played 41 minutes as Nate Robinson missed the game with a sprained ankle. He is averaging 22.3 points over his last three games, and it seems clear that he will be a nice fantasy option down the stretch as the Knicks try and crack the playoffs.
February 27, 2009
After hitting just 4-of-22 shots in his first three games with the Knicks, Larry Hughes busted out of his slump on Friday against the 76ers. The guard hit 9-of-16 shots and finished with a team-high 25 points in the 108-103 loss. He was 3-for-6 from long range.

Our View:Hughes played 34 minutes in the game while Quentin Richardson played only 11. Hughes could move into the starting lineup with continued production like this. He hadn't played in over a month prior to the trade that sent him to New York, but coach Mike D'Antoni seems to have a lot of faith in him.
February 24, 2009
Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni is confident that newly acquired Larry Hughes will step up his game after starting off shooting 3-for-16, according to the New York Post. "He's struggling right now. But that's normal. And he'll without a doubt get it back, feel more comfortable, have a good game and break out of it. That's not something I worry about, because he'll be fine," said D'Antoni.

Our View:Hughes sat on the Bulls' bench for a month without playing, so he's got a lot of rust to knock off. He should be a good fit in the Knicks' system, but has yet to show it, and Knicks fans are already on his case.
February 22, 2009
Larry Hughes is set to make his debut for the Knicks on Sunday against the Raptors, according to the New York Post. Coach Mike D'Antoni said that Hughes and other newcomer Chris Wilcox may only play the first half.

Our View:Hughes wanted out of Chicago due to a lack of playing time, so he could have the same problem if the Knicks don't play him much the rest of the year. However, Sunday's potential lack of playing time is more of a way to just ease him into his new club.
February 19, 2009
Larry Hughes has been dealt from the Bulls to the Knicks in exchange for Tim Thomas and Jerome James, according to Yahoo Sports.

Our View:Hughes' fantasy stock looks to go up with a move to the Knicks, as he was limited in Chicago while working in a deep guard rotation.
February 3, 2009
The Chicago Bulls placed Larry Hughes on the inactive list, according to the Chicago Tribune. Hughes has not played since January 12 and the team is actively trying to move him to another team.

Larry Hughes is likely to be dealt by the Bulls, who have a crowded backcourt, according to the Chicago Tribune. Hughes said, "If you get traded, obviously another team wants you, so it's always a positive in that way. I definitely want to play minutes and contribute. That's a focus of mine. Hopefully, I'll get the opportunity to do that in the near future."

Our View:He wants to play more, and the Bulls are expected to help him with that by trading him before the February 19 deadline. Hughes has already been traded twice in his 11-year career.
