Stephen Jackson had another nice game for the Bobcats on Friday in their loss to the Bucks. Jackson scored 22 points in the game.

Our View:Jackson has been excellent since coming over from Golden State, as he has topped 20 points in each of his outings. He has never had any problems scoring, and there is no reason to think that it will slow down.
November 18, 2009
Stephen Jackson was a standout for the Bobcats in tonight's 86-84 loss at Philadelphia, as he scored a game-high 26 points. He also had five rebounds, five assists and three steals.

Our View:The former member of the Warriors looks to fit in well with his new club, evidenced by his strong performance.
November 16, 2009
ESPN's Ric Bucher is reporting that a deal sending Stephen Jackson and Acie Law to Charlotte in exchange for Raja Bell and Vladimir Radmanovic has been completed.

Our View:So ends a truly ugly saga in Golden State. This move also vastly improves a scuttling Bobcats offense. Jackson is supposedly already en route to Orlando, where Charlotte is playing tonight, and hopes to play. Stay tuned.
November 16, 2009
Yahoo! Sports is reporting that the Warriors are in "advanced" talks with the Bobcats about trading disgruntled forward Stephen Jackson for Raja Bell and Vladimir Radmanovic.

Our View:This trade makes too much sense not to happen. For the Warriors, it would mean riding themselves of a massive headache and finally acquiring a player familiar with the concept of defense. For the Bobcats, it would create a reasonable hope that they could exceed 80 points on a nightly basis. Stay tuned.
November 14, 2009
NBA writer Ken Berger is reporting that Warriors' coach Don Nelson may be removed from his post in the near future. Nelson would likely take over as a consultant for the team, and assistant Keith Smart would take over as the head coach.

Our View:Things in Golden State are not good right now, as the team's two best players are both trying desperately to get out because of Nellie. A source told Berger that this move could be made as soon as next week, but we will believe it when we see it. Nelson is just 21 wins shy of becoming the NBA's all-time winningest coach, so he's not stepping down now if he can help it.
November 13, 2009
Stephen Jackson led the Warriors with 23 points and eight rebounds in Friday's 121-107 win over the Knicks.

Our View:Jackson was limited to 18 minutes his last time out due to injuries, but he played a team-high 47 in this one. He collected three assists and five steals in the game, but also had four turnovers and hit just 2-of-10 shots from three-point land. Still, an overall effective fantasy performance.
November 12, 2009
The Contra Costa Times reports that coach Don Nelson cited "a sore hip" and "a sore back or something" as to why he played Stephen Jackson just under 18 minutes in Wednesday's loss to Indiana. Jsckson said afterwards, "I'm fine...My back is not sore at all."

Our View:The true reason for the limited minutes seems rather obvious. Jackson has been at odds against his coach and franchise since this summer. Nelson boasts a notorious doghouse, and there's a good chance that's exactly where Captive Jack is headed.
November 10, 2009
The Warriors are "more committed than ever" to trading disgruntled forward Stephen Jackson, according to Yahoo! Sports.

Our View:They believe he is disrupting the chemistry of their young team. Two players reportedly told Yahoo that "the team's play - and overall morale - won't truly improve until Jackson is gone." Supposedly, a deal will be completed in the next few weeks. Stay tuned.
November 8, 2009
Stephen Jackson scored 21 points, blocked two shots, grabbed two rebounds, and dished two assists in the Warriors' loss to the Kings on Sunday.

Our View:Jackson has had no problem scoring this season, as he is averaging 17 points a game, but he doesn't do much else for fantasy owners. He won't have any problem getting his points in Golden State's offense, regardless of whether or not he is happy.
November 6, 2009
ClipsNation.com reports that Stephen Jackson will again start at power forward for the Warriors on Friday.

Our View:He'll be going up against the Clippers' Al Thornton, a load of a man. Thornton is fighting the flu, however, so Jackson could also see considerable minutes against Rasual Butler. Whether or not the smaller and quicker Jackson can take advantage of these match-ups remains to be seen.
November 4, 2009
The San Francisco Chronicle reports that Stephen Jackson will get the start at power forward in Wednesday's game against the Grizzlies.

Our View:Coach Don Nelson is mixing things up to try and jump-start a struggling Warriors team, and Jackson says that he's willing to accept whatever role given to him in the offense. No telling if this will get the team on track, but it should translate to solid fantasy numbers from small power forward.
October 30, 2009
After initially saying the Warriors could trade Stephen Jackson within the week, ESPN's Chris Broussard is now saying they may wait to do so until at least mid-December.

Our View:This makes much more sense, as the Warriors didn't seem likely to hold on to Jackson all summer, only to trade him in the season's first week. Expect him to have plenty of good all-around fantasy games while he is still out in Central California.
October 29, 2009
Embattled forward Stephen Jackson scored 17 points in his season debut on Wednesday night, a 108-107 loss to the Rockets.

Our View:Jackson has a great all-around game, and if he is indeed still on the trading block, he should garner a lot of interest.
October 28, 2009
Citing a "rumor" ESPN reports that Stephen Jackson trade talk is "heating up."

Our View:Golden State is reportedly mulling several offers, with a trade likely to happen in the next few days. Supposedly, Cleveland, Denver, San Antonio, New Orleans and the Clippers are all interested. Stay tuned.
October 25, 2009
Stephen Jackson does not sound as insistent on leaving Golden State as he did last summer, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:"I'll be the first to admit it. I said a lot of things this summer about not wanting to be here. But this team is a lot better than I thought we would be," Jackson said. "I have always been a man and admitted when I was wrong. This team is a lot better than I thought we could be, and I hope we continue to grow and be ready for opening night." What a class act, and a shining example for Stephen Curry. Jackson wants to be your teammate as long as he doesn't think you are young and horrible. Should be another interesting season in Golden State.
October 24, 2009
Despite rumors of the Nuggets being interested in Stephen Jackson, the Denver Post is reporting that it is highly unlikely that the team would pursue a trade for the troubled Warrior. Jackson's contract is more than the trade exception, so it would be very difficult for the team to acquire him even if they were interested.

Our View:Adding Jackson's firepower to the Nuggets would be interesting, but it doesn't sound like it's going to happen any time soon. If the team could use their trade exception on him it would be different, but for now it looks like Jackson will remain in Golden State.
October 14, 2009
Stephen Jackson has relinquished his captaincy of the Golden State Warriors, according to ESPN.

Our View:Jackson's spat with Golden State coach Don Nelson isn't likely to end well, and this latest move could just be another sign that he's on his way out. Stay tuned.
October 13, 2009
According to the Contra Costa Times, Warriors' guard Stephen Jackson returned to the team this week after his two-game suspension was over. Jackson said he still isn't happy with the team, but he will go out there and play because it is his job.

Our View:Jackson is going to be a distraction for the Warriors all season unless they move him, but it can be tough to trade a guy like this. He has all the talent in the world, but he remains a high risk player because o his attitude. The upside is worth the gamble, as he should still get his stats in the run-and-gun Warrior offense.
October 11, 2009
Updating a previous report, the Golden State Warriors have suspended guard Stephen Jackson two games for his actions Friday night in the team's preseason game, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Jackson reportedly cursed and yelled at coach Don Nelson after he picked up five fouls in the first quarter.

Our View:The disgruntled Jackson has been trying to get out of Golden State all summer, so now it looks like he will let him actions on the floor do the talking. He can be a very good player when is head is on stright, but you have to wonder how he will perform this season when he doesn't want to be a part of the team anymore. Unless he gets traded before the season starts, his fantasy stock will remin very high risk.
October 10, 2009
Digital Sports Daily is reporting that Warriors' guard Stephen Jackson was sent to the locker-room after he picked up five fouls and a technical in the first quarter of Friday's preseason game against the Lakers.

Our View:Coach Don Nelson had seen enough from Jackson after the five fouls, so he sent him away and did not allow him to return to the game. Jackson has made his desire to be traded well-publicized, and after nights like this Warrior fans have to be concerned that he will be more of a distraction than an asset this season.
September 28, 2009
Stephen Jackson commented that he still wants to be traded by the Warriors, according to the Associated Press.

Our View:The Warriors do not intend to grant his wish, and head coach Don Nelson does not believe Jackson will be a distraction once training camp starts.
September 15, 2009
According to Marc J. Spears on Twitter, the NBA has fined Stephen Jackson $25,000 for statements detrimental to the league.

Our View:Jackson publicly asked for a trade, which the NBA considers a big no-no. Trade requests have to be kept private, and Jax obviously knew that so he must be pretty unhappy. Reports are that he is still currently the Warriors captain, but who knows how long that will last.
August 30, 2009
DallasBasketball.com is reporting that there could be trade talks brewing between the Golden State Warriors and the Mavericks that could involve Stephen Jackson. Jackson has gone public with his desire to be moved from Golden State, and he has listed the Mavsas a team he would like to go to.

Our View:Jackson would love to go to Dallas, and depending on the players the Mavs would have to give up, it would seem like a good move for them as well. Jackson averaged 20.7 points per game last season, and he has become a very legit scoring threat.
August 29, 2009
Stephen Jackson would like to be traded by the Warriors, according to ESPN.

Our View:He is 31 years old, and wants to join a contender at this point of his career. He named the Cavaliers as a preferred destination. He would be open to returning to the Spurs, and also named the Knicks, Mavericks and Rockets as teams he would be happy to play for.
March 28, 2009
As it had been expected, Stephen Jackson will undergo surgery to remove bone spurs in his big left toe and will be away from basketball related activities for four weeks, meaning his season is over, according to ESPN.com.

Our View:Unless you're in a relatively deep keeper league, Jackson can now be safely dropped. Teammates Anthony Morrow and Kelenna Azubuike both receive a boost in value the rest of the season and would each make for a nice pickup if available.
March 25, 2009
The Dallas Morning News reports that Stephen Jackson's season may be over after Wednesday's game against the Mavericks. He will head to Houston after the game to have his injured big toe looked at. He claims the injury is getting worse and he wants to have it taken care of by the start of the next preseason.

Our View:Apparently the injury has been around for a while, and with very little to play for at this point, Jackson may opt to have a surgery on it, if needed. Keep an eye on the situation, as you'll want to shed him from your fantasy roster if he does shut himself down.
March 24, 2009
Guard Stephen Jackson finished with 18 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and one steal against the Spurs on Tuesday. He also posted five turnovers and shot only 7-of-17 from the floor.

Our View:It was actually a relatively quiet night for Jackson, who has been posting excellent fantasy lines over the second half of this season. He is also the far-and-away league leader in turnovers per game, which hurts badly in some fantasy formats.
March 22, 2009
Stephen Jackson had 22 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists as the Warriors fell to the Hornets 99-89 on Sunday.

Our View:He also had five turnovers and hit just 7-of-17 from the field. Jackson knows how to accumulate stats, but he's terribly inefficient at it.
March 19, 2009

March 16, 2009
Slam! reports that Stephen Jackson has been suspended without pay for one game following his 16th technical of the season on Sunday against the Suns. He will sit out Tuesday's game against the Clippers.

Our View:He will receive a one-game suspension for every other technical he receives for the remainder of the season. Jackson has a tendency to come back with a head of steam, so expect an aggressive player once he returns.
March 15, 2009
Stephen Jackson was ejected after receiving two technical fouls in the Warriors 154-130 loss to the Suns on Sunday. He played 25 minutes and finished with 10 points, nine assists, and five rebounds.

Our View:Jackson had been on a tear in his previous three games and it's probably a good bet to count on him lighting a fire once he gets back from this ejection. If you were to throw out turnovers and assists, it would be hard to find many players that produce better fantasy lines than Captain Jack.
March 14, 2009

March 12, 2009
Stephen Jackson had yet another all around game to lead to Warriors over the Nets on Wednesday. He finished with 29 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists.

Our View:When it comes to reacking up points, assists, and rebounds, few players do it like Captain Jack. Unfortunately the same can be said about turnovers.
March 7, 2009
Stephen Jackson, who took Friday off to rest his lingering sore hamstring, came back against Milwaukee Saturday to score 23 points off 9-for-18 shooting to go along with 11 assists, four rebounds and two steals, though he did also turn the ball over seven times.

Our View:You sometimes have to take the good with the bad when it comes to Jackson, but it was still good to see him out there healthy. He's averaged an excellent 26 points and eight assists in games he's played in since February.
March 3, 2009
Stephen Jackson was active on Tuesday after getting the night off on Sunday, going 7-for-16 from the field with two three-pointers for 23 points, seven rebounds and six assists and a surprising zero turnovers.

Our View:Jackson can be a bit frustrating at times but is still an obvious must-start when active. It's been since January when he posted under 20 points on a night and he's also averaged an awesome eight assists per game since the start of February.
March 3, 2009

February 27, 2009
Stephen Jackson will sit out Sunday's game against the Jazz for no reason other than to get other players more playing time, according to the San Jose Mercury News.

Our View:Warriors players have been among the most difficult to own this season due to coach Don Nelson's shenanigans. He will be doing this with several players, starting with Jamal Crawford on Friday.
February 27, 2009

Our View:This was a little of a let down for Jackson, who had scored 30+ points in his previous two games, but it was still a productive night for him.
February 4, 2009
Stephen Jackson had his second strong performance in as many games as the Warriors defeated Phoenix on Wednesday. He finished with 30 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists, four three-pointers, two steals, and a block.

February 3, 2009
Stephen Jackson finished Monday's 110-105 overtime loss to the Spurs with 33 points, 11 assists, five rebounds, four steals, and four turnovers. He played all 53 minutes of the game.

Our View:This was probably Jackson's best game of the season. Clearly, coach Don Nelson has confidence in his captain, as evidenced by the 53 minutes of action. Jackson has a lot of negatives in his game, by he can put together some pretty loaded stat lines. Just be prepared to take the bad with the good.
