Marcus Camby (back) may be unable to go on Friday, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Our View:Camby has battled both back and ankle injuries this season, and it's taken a toll on his game. After averaging 10.3 points and 11.1 rebounds per game a season ago, he is averaging just 7.8 points and 9.1 rebounds per game in 2009-10.
October 29, 2009
Despite playing on a gimpy ankle, Marcus Camby scored 23 points and ripped down 11 boards against the Suns on Wednesday. Unfortunately for the Clippers, the effort came in a 109-107 loss.

Our View:Camby seems determined to play at an incredibly high level while rookie Blake Griffin is out, and tonight demonstrated that he is still a very solid fantasy option.
October 27, 2009
The Los Angeles Times' Lisa Dillman reports that Marcus Camby (ankle) will play in the Clippers regular season opener against the Lakers on Tuesday.

Our View:With Blake Griffin already out, the Clips would be mighty thin on their front-line without Camby. Hopefully he does not get re-injured playing at less than 100 percent.
October 25, 2009
Marcus Camby (ankle) practiced on Tuesday, and could be available for the Clippers' season opener against the Lakers on Tuesday, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Our View:Camby is still a force in the middle, though he likely won't be posting many double-doubles at the beginning of the season while he gets healthy.
October 19, 2009
Despite officially being out 1-to-2 weeks with an ankle injury, Marcus Camby said he fully intends to be ready for the Clippers' regular season opener on October 27, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Our View:Camby is determined to be ready for game one after missing the Clips opener last year. As long as he stays healthy, he can likely be counted on to average another double double this season.
October 5, 2009
Marcus Camby returned to practice Monday, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Our View:Camby is recovering from a hyperextended knee suffered last Friday, and the ailment looks to be minor.
October 3, 2009
According to the LA Times, Marcus Camby suffered a hyperextended knee on Friday that forced him to miss Saturday's practice.

Our View:Camby seems to be perpetually banged up, so the knee injury isn't really a shocker. Consider him day-to-day for now, but this one actually doesn't seem to serious.
April 10, 2009
Marcus Camby practiced on Thursday and will be a game-time decision, due to his sprained left ankle, for the Clippers against the Kings on Friday, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Our View:Camby has missed Los Angeles' last five games with the sprained ankle, though it looks like he may finally be able to return to the court. It's still questionable, however, whether or not he'll be able to play, so wait to activate him in your lineup until it's confirmed that he will indeed see playing time.
April 1, 2009
As expected, Marcus Camby will not play against the Hornets on Wednesday, according to the Los Angeles Times. He sprained his ankle last Saturday and is expected to miss one to two weeks.

Our View:It doesn't appear that Camby will be much help down the stretch, and he should probably be on your waiver wire. Keep an eye on his status, as his return could make for a timely pickup.
March 28, 2009
Marcus Camby sprained his ankle just three minutes into the Clippers' game against San Antonio on Friday and is expected to be sidelined the next one to two weeks, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Our View:Given that the Clippers are just slightly out of playoff contention in the West, it's not out of the question that the injury could end up finishing Camby's 2008-09 campaign. It wouldn't be unwise to drop him at this point if you could use the extra healthy player over the final stretch of the season.
March 20, 2009
Marcus Camby is considered questionable for tonight's game at Detroit due to a hamstring injury, according to the Sports Network.

Our View:The ailment forced him to miss Wednesday's game. The Pistons would catch a break if Camby is unable to go, as he racked up 14 points, 20 boards and two blocks in his last meeting against them.
March 10, 2009
Marcus Camby is questionable for tonight's home game against the Cavaliers while suffering from migraines, according to the Sports Network.

Our View:He has been taking antibiotics for other ailments, and perhaps the migraines are a side effect of the medication. Camby is a strong defender and the Cavs would benefit if he is unable to go.
March 9, 2009
Marcus Camby is considered day-to-day while suffering from migraines, according to the LA Times.

Our View:He has been taking antibiotics for other ailments, and perhaps the migraines are a side effect of the medication. He is questionable for Tuesday's home game against Cleveland.
March 2, 2009
Marcus Camby hit 5-of-6 shots and finished Monday's loss to the Spurs with 12 points, eight rebounds, and two blocked shots in 29 minutes.

Our View:Camby's rebounding has dropped since dealing with a sore ankle in January. The Clippers were looking for scoring options all night long, but Camby remained hesitant with his jump shot.
February 26, 2009
Marcus Camby was back in the Clippers' starting lineup as they defeated the Celtics 93-91 on Wednesday. He finished with 14 points, 11 rebounds, and five blocks.

Our View:We love the five blocks, and hopefully he will again focus on that element of his game. As of now, he is only blocking 2.4 shots per game.
February 24, 2009
Marcus Camby (ear infection) returned from his four-game absence as the Clippers beat the Warriors 113-105 on Monday. He played 22 minutes off of the bench and finished with nine points, six rebounds, four assists, and two blocks.

Our View:Camby should be back in the starting lineup next game, assuming his ear is ok. His 2.4 blocks per game this season is his lowest mark since the 2003-04 season, but that should be on its way up with more playing time.
February 23, 2009
Marcus Camby is questionable for tonight's game against the Warriors while still recovering from an ear infection, according to ClipsNation.com.

Our View:The Warriors would benefit if the defensive specialist is unable to play. We will keep you posted on his status.
February 21, 2009
The Oregonian lists Marcus Camby as out for Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers due to his ear infection.

Our View:DeAndre Jordan will likely get the start at center. Camby has not played since the all-star break, but we expect him to suit up next week.
February 17, 2009
Marcus Camby is on the inactive list tonight against the Suns due to an inner ear infection, according to Arizona Central.com

Our View:Camby is averaging a double-double for a terrible Clippers team and still has some fantasy value in deeper leagues.
February 15, 2009
Marcus Camby is not available for trade, according to CBSSports.com. The Cavaliers were reportedly interested in the defensive maestro.

Our View:With the Clippers season all but over, it seems odd that any of their veterans are untouchable. However, Camby has a bargain of a contract, and they would much rather move Chris Kaman and his bloated contract.
February 12, 2009
The AP reports that center Marcus Camby missed Wednesday night's game against the Knicks due to migraines.

Our View:Camby should be able to return by the time the Clippers resume playing next week. However, Chris Kaman is also expected to return around that same time. The minutes in Los Angeles will be hotly contested.
February 4, 2009
Marcus Camby played just over 24 minutes on Wednesday as the Clippers were beaten 115-88 by the Magic. He hit 6-of-7 shots and finished with 12 points, nine boards, and no blocked shots.

Our View:Camby had nice production, given the limited minutes. However, a lot of his value comes from his shot-blocking, so any game he goes without a block is a bit of a disappointment.
January 31, 2009
For the first time since January 17, Marcus Camby was back in the starting lineup for the Clippers. The center played 28 minutes, grabbed nine board, scored six points, blocked four shots, and dished out three assists in a 106-94 loss to the Wizards.

Our View:Consider it only a matter of time before Camby is carrying his fantasy teams in rebounding and shot blocking again. He had been posting some incredible numbers for about a month prior to injuring his ankle.
January 29, 2009
Marcus Camby played just 22 minutes in Wednesday's 95-75 loss to the Bulls. He finished with six points, six rebounds, and no blocked shots. Camby had missed the previous five games with a sprained ankle.

Our View:Hopefully, he feels good tomorrow and there is no additional swelling or soreness. His fantasy owners have surely missed his elite rebounding and shot-blocking abilities.
January 26, 2009
Marcus Camby is questionable for Monday's home game against Portland due to his sprained ankle, according to ClipsNation.com.

Our View:The source believes he will likely miss the game, but the Clippers are yet to decide. DeAndre Jordan would be the top candidate to start at center if Camby is unable to go.
January 25, 2009
Marcus Camby is questionable for Sunday's game against Golden State, according to the Sports Network. He is recovering from a sprained ankle.

Our View:The defensive specialist is a risky fantasy option for tonight, and is worth holding out of lineups to be safe if you have a suitable replacement.
January 22, 2009
The Daily News reports that Marcus Camby, who recently sprained his ankle, practiced without a problem on Thursday and he has been upgraded to questionable for Friday's game.

Our View:This is considerably good news. Camby has had previous seasons sabotaged by injuries, and his owners were worried that this most recent injury would linger. Knock on wood, but he appears ready to come back.
January 20, 2009
Marcus Camby is expected to be on the shelf for about a week while recovering from his sprained left ankle, according to the LA Times.

Our View:Fantasy owners will need to find another source for rebounds and blocks while he is out. Brian Skinner and DeAndre Jordan will be afforded more playing time until Camby returns.
January 18, 2009
The AP reports that Marcus Camby sprained his left ankle in Saturday's 101-92 win over the Bucks. While his x-rays were negative, he was reportedly limping badly after the game.

Our View:There are not many players in the game that have the type of fantasy impact that Camby does. He is an absolute force in the rebounding and shot blocking categories, while not being a drag anywhere. A timetable for his return has not been set, but don't expect him back this week.
January 18, 2009
Marcus Camby scored 18 points and pulled down 11 boards in the Clippers' 101-92 win over the Bucks on Saturday.

Our View:Saturday marked the sixth time this season Camby has gone an entire game without making a trip to the free-throw line.
January 15, 2009
Marcus Camby continues to do what he does best, despite the Clippers inability to win. In their 80-97 loss to the Hawks on Wednesday, Camby pulled down 18 rebounds, scored 1w points, blocked four shots and grabbed two steals.

Our View:Camby continues to justify his extremely high, yet often overlooked, fantasy value. There is no word yet on when Chris Kaman or Zach Randolph will return, but once they do, expect Camby's minutes and production to fall slightly.
January 9, 2009
Marcus Camby finished Friday's loss to the Hornets with 13 points, 17 rebounds, and two blocks.

Our View:Camby continues to provide excellent production for his owners. He is once again among the most productive centers in the league.
January 5, 2009
There is a rumor circulating that the Knicks are considering bringing back Marcus Camby, according to the NY Daily News. The rumor involved the Knicks shipping Quentin Richardson to the Clippers and David Lee to Portland, with the Knicks getting back Camby and Channing Frye.

Our View:David Lee has improved offensively this season, but coach Mike D'Antoni prefers to have defensive specialist Camby as his center, who is averaging 13.5 boards per game.
January 4, 2009
Marcus Camby grabbed 20 more rebounds and scored 14 points as the Clippers lost by one to the Pistons on Sunday. He also picked up two blocks.

Our View:He has now picked up 20 or more rebounds in three of his last four games. He should continue the incredible pace until Zach Randolph or Chris Kaman is able to return.
January 2, 2009
Marcus Camby scored 19 points with a game-high 23 rebounds in Friday's 106-98 loss to Phoenix. He also tallied four assists, one block and one steal.

Our View:The premier glass-cleaner reached at least 20 rebounds for the third time this season, and reached double digits for the 22nd time.
