Kobe Bryant lit up the Pistons on Tuesday for 40 points, five rebounds and five assists in a 106-93 win.

Our View:Kobe is averaging over 30 PPG game this season and has now hit the 40-plateau four times. It was nice to see him go off again, as he averaged just 18.5 points in his two previous contests. He rolled tonight, so another 40-point effort next time around is not out of the question.
November 16, 2009
Kobe Bryant practiced Monday, according to the Los Angeles Times. He is recovering from a strained groin.

Our View:Bryant reportedly looked comfortable during the session, and is responding better to treatment. He should be ready to go for Tuesday's game against Detroit.

Kobe Bryant left Sunday night's game against the Rockets with a strained groin, according to JA Adande of the LA Times. Bryant said he won't miss any time due to the injury.

Our View:Bryant was forced to leave late in the game tonight, but he said that missing time going forward is not an option. The injury isn't serious, but it could become a nagging thing if he doesn't get it healed.
November 8, 2009
Kobe Bryant and Chris Paul battled it out on Sunday night, and Kobe got the best of the action as the Lakers defeated the Hornets 104-88. Bryant had 28 points in the win.

Our View:Kobe looked like an older version of himself tonight, as he didn't contribute much on the stat sheet other than scoring. He had two rebounds and one assist, but expect those numbers to be better on most nights.
November 7, 2009
Yahoo! Sports reports that the Lakers and Kobe Bryant are continuing to work on a contract extension.

Our View:Kobe can opt out of the final year of his deal and became a free agent next summer - quite a good time to be on the open market in case you had not heard. That being said, both sides sound committed to hammering out an extension, and the chances of Kobe leaving the Lakers next summer appear to be somewhere near non-existent.
November 7, 2009
Kobe Bryant became the youngest player in NBA history on Friday to score 24,000 points, according to the Associated Press.

Our View:The player he surpassed, Wilt Chamberlain, was only one of the greatest basketball players of all time - just like Kobe.
November 4, 2009
Kobe Bryant propelled the Lakers to their fourth win of the season on Wednesday as they downed the Rockets by one point in overtime. Bryant finished with 41 points in the win.

Our View:Kobe also tossed four assists, grabbed six rebounds, and swiped four steals in the game. He pretty much does it all, which is why he is a top-3 talent and will be for a long time.
November 3, 2009
Kobe Bryant carried the Lakers with 31 points in Tuesday's 101-98 win at Oklahoma City. He also chipped in six rebounds, four assists, three steals and a block.

Our View:Bryant is still dealing with a sore throat, but was deemed fit to play now that his fever is gone.
November 3, 2009
Kobe Bryant could miss the Lakers game against the Thunder on Tuesday as he deals with the flu, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Our View:It might not be the worst idea to keep him in your starting lineup, though, as Bryant rarely misses games for any reason. Consider him playing until the pregame lineups are announced.
November 1, 2009
Kobe Bryant hit 15-of-29 shots to finish with 41 points as the Lakers defeated the Hawks 118-110 on Sunday. He also had eight rebounds, five steals, three assists and one three-pointer.

Our View:Bryant got torched by Joe Johnson for 18 points in the first quarter and clearly took it as a challenge. His three-pointer was only his second of the season, which clearly is below his career pace. Through three games, he is averaging 31.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, and three steals.
October 31, 2009
Kobe Bryant scored a team-high 20 points in Friday's 94-80 loss to the Mavericks at the Staples Center, to go along with six rebounds and two assists. He only made 6-of-19 shots.

Kobe Bryant shot down the Clippers with a game-high 33 points in Tuesday's 99-92 win at the Staples Center. He also had eight rebounds, three assists, four steals and a block.

October 26, 2009
The OC Register is reporting that Kobe Bryant sat out Lakers' practice on Monday due to a sore foot. The injury is not expected to be serious, and Kobe should be fine for the season-opener on Tuesday.

Our View:No reason for Kobe to go today if he was sore, and it is almost a certainty that he will play tomorrow. The foot is just a bit sore, but he was moving around just fine and will be at his best tomorrow.
October 22, 2009
Kobe Bryant went head-to-head with Carmelo Anthony on Thursday, and while Anthony got the better of the scoring, Bryant and the Lakers got the win. Bryant finished with 23 as the Lakers defeated the Nuggets 107-89.

Our View:Kobe had six boards and two assists in the contest as well, and the Lakers made easy work of the Nuggets. There's not much to say about Kobe at this point, as everyone knows he is an elite fantasy talent who shouldn't fall out of the top-5 under any circumstances.
October 16, 2009
Kobe Bryant scored 18 points in 24 minutes on Thursday night, as the Lakers downed the Kings in preseason action.

Our View:All is well in Kobe-land, and it should be another beautiful season in 2009-10 for the Lakers' all-world guard.
October 7, 2009
Kobe Bryant was every bit the superstar on Wednesday night. The Lakers franchise face put up 22 points and grabbed nine boards in a 118-101 preseason win over Golden State.

Our View:Bryant hit 8-of-17 shots, including 1-of-2 from three-point land, and chipped in with two assists and three steals as well. He coughed up just one turnover in what was a pretty typical game for Kobe. He'll be one of the game's best fantasy performers once again this season.
July 3, 2009
According to a report at ESPN.com, Lakers' coach Phil Jackson is close to announcing that he will return to the bench next season. The source believes that his return could be announced early next week.

Our View:This is not a 100 percent done deal, but it looks to be very close to it. With the recent signing of Ron Artest, the Lakers may be the favorites to repeat next season, and Phil isn't going to walk away from the talent on this team. We will keep you updated on his status.
July 1, 2009
According to the LA Times, Kobe Bryant is expected to sign a three-year extension with the Lakers sometime in the next month.

Our View:Kobe had an early termination clause in his contract, but chose not to exercise it. He looks to make almost $48 million over the next two years and could then get an addition $90 million with the extension. This will undoubtedly make Kobe an even richer and happier man, and the Lakers get to keep their superstar.
June 30, 2009
Kobe Bryant has opted against exercising an early termination option in his contract and will return to the Lakers for the 2009-10 campaign, according to ESPN.

Our View:The elite guard is slated to earn $23MM with Los Angeles next season, with the added perk of defending the NBA crown as champions.
June 17, 2009
The L.A. Times reports that Kobe Bryant hinted that he will remain with the Lakers next season. He can opt out of his contract before July 1 and become and unrestricted free agent. "Where am I going to go?" he said. "This is my home...It's been a blast being here from '96 to now," he said. "Here we are, back on top. This feels unbelievable. We have a young team, a team that has a lot of chemistry. We want to do this thing again and again. We'll be back next year, ready to go. We're going to keep on rolling."

Our View:Kobe may still opt out, but even if he does, he would likely re-sign with the Lakers for another maximum contract. If he were to hold off and play out the next two seasons of his deal (worth more than $45 million), he would still probably be able to sign a max level contract in two more years.
June 15, 2009
The Chicago Tribune reports that Charles Barkley feels that Lakers coach Phil Jackson will retire. "I don't think he's coming back. Phil's done. I just think he's had enough. He's definitely gone. That's just my opinion, though."

Our View:Phil didn't seem to be overly involved this season, and his contract is up. The Lakers would likely replace him with someone in house if he does decide to leave. Now that he has won his 10th championship as a coach, there's not much left to prove. His health will also factor in his decision. The Lakers offseason moves, particularly what to do with free agents Lamar Odom and Trevor Ariza, may also make a difference.
June 14, 2009
Kobe Bryant led the Lakers to their 15th NBA Championship on Sunday. Bryant had 30 points on 10-23 shooting, and he added six rebounds and five assists. He was named Finals MVP after the game.

Our View:The Lakers went on a 16-0 run in the second quarter, and they never looked back as they captured the title. Bryant was the best player on the floor the entire series, and he deserves to be the MVP.
June 13, 2009
Coach Phil Jackson has been dealt a $25,000 fine for criticizing the refs during Game 4 of the NBA Finals at Orlando, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Our View:Jackson said the officials made "bogus" calls in the game which landed Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom in early foul trouble, but the Lakers still managed to win the game.
June 11, 2009
Kobe Bryant carried the Lakers in Thursday's 99-91 win over the Magic in Game 4 of the NBA Finals, as he scored a game-high 32 points, with seven boards, eight assists, one steal and a block.

Our View:Bryant is averaging 33 points in the finals, and helped lead Los Angeles to a commanding 3-1 lead.
June 11, 2009
Kobe Bryant denied getting tired at the end of Game 3, according to the Los Angeles Times. After that matter had been discussed following their most recent loss to the Magic, Kobe was asked if he hit a wall. He said he didn't, but even if he did, it wouldn't matter. He would run right through it.

Our View:If any athlete has a right to be tired, it's Kobe Bryant. He has not missed a regular season game for the past two seasons and he has gone to the Finals in each season. He has also spent the past two summers playing a major role for his country. All-in-all, Kobe's played in more than 250 basketball games in the last two years.
June 9, 2009
Kobe Bryant scored a game-high 31 points in Tuesday's 107-104 loss to the Magic in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. He also chipped in three rebounds and eight assists.

Our View:Bryant is averaging 33.3 points in the NBA Finals as the Lakers still hold a 2-1 lead.
June 7, 2009
Kobe Bryant led the Lakers with 29 points in their 101-96 overtime victory over the Magic on Sunday. LA now has a two games to none lead in the NBA Finals as the series shifts to Orlando.

Our View:Kobe hit 10-of-22 shots from the field, including 1-of-4 from downtown. He grabbed four rebounds and dished out eight assists in the contest and now has 69 points and 16 assists in the two games of the series. He has been dominant, but was constantly frustrated by Hedo Turkoglu on defense. The big man forced Kobe to commit seven turnovers in Game Two.
June 4, 2009
Kobe Bryant carried the Lakers in Thursday's 100-75 win over the Magic in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, as he scored a game-high 40 points. He also racked up eight boards, eight assists, two steals and two blocks.

Our View:Bryant reached 40 points for the fourth time in the playoffs, all resulting in wins for Los Angeles. The Lakers lead the NBA Finals 1-0.
May 29, 2009
Kobe Bryant led all scorers (again) with 35 points on Friday night as the Lakers bounced the Nuggets with a 119-92 win. They clinched yet another Western Conference title and advanced to the NBA Finals.

Our View:Kobe hit 12-of-20 shots from the field, including 2-of-4 from downtown, and was a perfect 9-of-9 from the line. He also grabbed nine rebounds and dished out ten assists. It was his first double-double of the 2009 playoffs.
May 27, 2009
It wasn't vintage Kobe Bryant on Wednesday, but he still led the Lakers' with 22 points in their 103-94 win over the Nuggets. LA now leads the series 3-2.

Our View:Kobe was 6-of-13 from the field, but just 1-of-6 from downtown. He had five rebounds and seven assists, but committed seven turnovers. It was the first time in the series he failed to score at least 32 points.
May 26, 2009
The Associated Press reports that Lakers' coach Phil Jackson has been fined $25,000 for criticizing officials after Monday's Game Four against the Nuggets.

Our View:Jackson felt that the Nuggets were given preferential treatment due to the fact that they shot 14 more free throws than the Lakers. We're sure Phil can dig through his couch cushions and come up with the 25 grand.
May 25, 2009
ESPN reports that Kobe Bryant's 147 points are the most scored by any player through the first four games of a conference finals. He had 34 on 10-of-26 shooting in Monday's Game 4 loss to the Nuggets.

Our View:This record may stand only one night as LeBron James could surpass it tomorrow. Kobe has not gotten much help at all aside from Pau Gasol in this series. Lamar Odom has totaled only 30 points and Derek Fisher has just 25.
May 25, 2009
Kobe Bryant is uncertain if surgery will be needed on his injured pinkie finger, according to the Los Angeles Daily News.

Our View:Bryant noted that the surgery takes a long time to recover from. The ailing finger is swollen, but is not bent and feels fine. He has led the Lakers to a 2-1 lead in the Western Conference Finals against Denver, and feels that surgery may be pointless.
May 23, 2009
Kobe Bryant exploded for 41 points complemented by six rebounds and five assists in the Lakers' Game 3 win over the Nuggets on Saturday.

Our View:Kobe had reached 40 points twice this postseason, but 41 is now his high of this year's playoffs. He accomplished the total of 12-of-24 shooting, 2-of-5 from three-pointers and 15-of-17 from the free-throw line.
May 21, 2009
Kobe Bryant poured in a team-high 32 points, but the Lakers' fell just short as the Nuggets evened the series with a 106-103 win in LA. The series shifts to Denver on Saturday.

Our View:Kobe had five rebounds, three assists a steal and a blocked shot to go along with his 32 points. He shot 10-of-20 from the field, including 2-of-4 from downtown, and put up at least 30 points for the eighth time this postseason.
May 20, 2009
Kobe Bryant suffered a disclocated right ring finger again during Tuesday's Game 1 win over Denver, according to the Orange County Register. He said, "Tried to go without tape tonight. Just got caught with the ball, popped it out, popped it right back in place. Went to the bench, taped it up. Good to go."

Our View:Bryant still managed to score 40 points in the game, and his ailment should not slow him down in Thursday's Game 2.
May 19, 2009
As expected Kobe Bryant was dominant again as he put up a game-high 40 points in the Lakers' Game One 105-103 win over the Nuggets on Tuesday.

Our View:Kobe not only racked up 40 points, but grabbed six rebound and dished out four assists as well. He shot 13-of-28 from the field, including 2-for-3 from downtown and nailed down 12 of his 13 free throws. The effort matched his highest point total of the playoffs this season.
May 17, 2009
Kobe Bryant hit only 4-of-12 shots for 14 points, but he contributed seven boards, five assists, three steals, two blocks, and just one turnover in Game 7's 89-70 win on Sunday.

Our View:Due to the blowout nature of the game and some foul trouble, Kobe only played 33 minutes. He now faces Denver, a team which he averaged 31 points in 34.5 minutes in four regular season games.
May 16, 2009
According to the OC Register, Kobe Bryant is still recovering from laryngitis but he should see increased minutes in Game 7 on Sunday. Bryant is averaging 38.7 minutes in the series against the Rockets.

Our View:Bryant has looked fine in the last few games, but apparently Phil has been limiting his minutes. He is only averaging one minute less in this series than the rest of the playoffs, but the Lakers will need him on the floor as much as possible on Sunday. Expect a big game out of Kobe, because he is a big-time player.
May 15, 2009
Lakers.com is reporting that the technical foul assessed to Kobe Bryant in Thursday night's game has been rescinded by the league. Bryant now has four technical fouls in the postseason.

Our View:This could be a potentially huge move by the league. If a player is assessed seven techs in the postseason, he is suspended for one game. The tech in question was pretty questionable, so it is probably a good call by the league. Still, this could impact the postseason if Kobe gets to six at some point going forward.
May 14, 2009
Kobe Bryant led all scorers with 32 points on Thursday, but his Lakers fell to the Rockets 95-80 in Game 6 of their second round series. Bryant was 11-27 from the field, a product of the tough defense by Shane Battier.

Our View:Kobe can't do it all by himself, and tonight he didn't get much help. The Lakers looked uninspired, and the Rockets looked like they were playing for their lives. The Lakers better get it together before Game 7 if they want to move on.
May 13, 2009
Kobe Bryant led all scorers with 26 points in Tuesday's 118-78 win over the Rockets in the always-critical Game Five. The Lakers now lead the series 3-2.

Our View:Kobe and the boys will head to Houston on Thursday and can polish off the Rockets with a strong effort. For his part on Thursday, Kobe hit 10-of-19 from the field and racked up four rebounds, three assists, a steal and a blocked shot in the game.
May 9, 2009
Kobe Bryant had a game-high 33 points in the Lakers' 108-94 win on Friday. They came in to Houston and dominated the Rockets to jump to a 2-1 series lead.

Our View:Kobe was the best player on the floor in this one. Along with his 33 points he had six rebounds, three assists, two steals and three blocked shots. He also shot 11-of-28 and was dialed in from behind the arc, hitting 4-of-6.
May 7, 2009
Kobe Bryant has been assessed a Flagrant-1 for an elbow to the throat of Ron Artest in Game 2 on Wednesday, according to ESPN. He will not be suspended.

Our View:Bryant's elbow is what led to the eruption and eventual ejection of Artest. The upgraded foul will have little effect on the rest of the series, although he now has one flagrant point. Once a player receives four flagrant points, they face an automatic one-game suspension.
May 7, 2009
The Houston Chronicle suggests that Kobe Bryant could face discipline from the NBA for elbowing Ron Artest in Game 2 against the Rockets.

Our View:The NBA is yet to deal Bryant a fine or suspension for the incident. We will keep you posted. Game 3 of the series is slated for Friday night at Houston.
May 7, 2009
Kobe Bryant scored 40 points in a raucous Game 2 and the Lakers prevailed over the Rockets 111-98 on Wednesday. He hit 16-of-27 from the field while contributing six rebounds and three assists.

Our View:Bryant dominated this game from start to finish tonight. He also had the calmest head amidst a flurry of heated exchanges. Kobe cannot be looking forward to his next matchup with Ron Artest who was ejected tonight while raging about a Bryant elbow to his throat.
May 5, 2009
Kobe Bryant had 32 points on Monday, but the Lakers dropped Game 1 to the Rockets 100-92. Bryant took 31 shots and didn't get hot until the second half.

Our View:The Rockets did a good job on Kobe tonight despite his 32 points. Kobe will have to be more efficent the rest of the series if the Lakers are going to move to the conference finals.
May 4, 2009
Kobe Bryant is dealing with a sore throat, but has been deemed good to go for tonight's Game 1 against the Rockets, according to ESPN. Bryant did not practice Sunday but coach Phil Jackson said, "I do not really have any concerns about Kobe. He says he is fine. Obviously it is a big challenge. The defense will orient around his game."

Our View:Bryant averaged 27.4 points in the opening-round against the Jazz, and averages 26.9 points over 42 career outings with Houston.
May 3, 2009
Kobe Bryant missed practice on Sunday with a sore throat, according to the Houston Chronicle. He is listed as a game-time decision for Monday's Game 1 matchup against the Rockets.

Our View:It would be catastrophic for the Lakers if Kobe was unable to play Monday, but since it is just a sore throat he will almost surely be in the lineup. We will keep you posted on his status, but expect him to play.
April 25, 2009
Kobe Bryant hit 16-of-24 from the field and finished with 38 points and six rebounds in 40 minutes as the Lakers took a 3-1 lead over Utah with a 108-94 victory on Saturday.

Our View:Kobe was coming off of a 5-for-24 performance that saw the Lakers lose. He was clearly on a mission tonight and looked like he would have nothing to do with a 2-2 series heading back to Los Angeles. It's probably a good thing for the Lakers that they weren't allowed to completely coast through the first round.
April 19, 2009
Kobe Bryant scored 24 points to lead the Lakers to a 113-100 win over the Jazz on Sunday. He added eight assists, four rebounds, two steals, and a block.

Our View:Kobe also committed six turnovers in the game, and he'll have to do better than this going forward. The Lakers would also benefit from a sweep, as Kobe has not had many opportunities to rest over the past two years due to a non-stop basketball schedule.
April 16, 2009
The Orange County Register reports that Kobe Bryant is thoroughly obsessed with winning a title. "(It's) beyond your comprehension," the reigning MVP told reporters. "I'm obsessed. It keeps me awake at night."

Our View:Will Kobe wear down? He played 103 games last season (including the playoffs) and then carried Team USA to a gold medal in the offseason. He has not missed a game yet again this season and you can count on him logging 40 minutes per game throughout the playoffs. He's got plenty of help on this year's team and the team should benefit from their playoff run last year. We like his odds.
April 12, 2009
Kobe Bryant had 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting as the Lakers beat Memphis 92-75 on Sunday. The reigning MVP also had seven rebounds, four assists, two steals, and a block in 29 minutes of action.

Our View:Kobe will continue to see plenty of rest as long as the Lakers hold a comfortable lead. He is probably already looking towards the playoffs following another strong season.
April 11, 2009
Kobe Bryant scored a game-high 32 points in the Lakers 106-98 loss to the Trailblazers. He added five rebounds and two assists as well.

Our View:Kobe has now topped 30 points three times in just six games this month. He remains one of the elite scorers in the game, but fans were waiting for back to back big games like this. He has 65 in his last two contests.
April 10, 2009
Kobe Bryant scored a game-high 33 points to lead the Lakers to a 116-102 win over the Nuggets at STAPLES Center on Thursday evening.

Our View:This was a welcome sight for fantasy owners, who must have been wondering when Kobe was going to stop turning in the pedestrian sub-25-point performances. Prior to Thursday, he had scored fewer than 25 points in seven of his last 12 games and had not scored more than 35 since March 11.
April 9, 2009
Lakers head coach Phil Jackson will skip the team's game Friday at Portland because of pain and swelling in his lower right leg, the Associated Press reports.

Our View:Jackson, whose condition is caused by plantar fasciitis, will stay in Los Angeles after coaching Thursday's game against Denver while the team flies to Portland. He will be replaced by assistant head coach Kurt Rambis.
April 8, 2009
Kobe Bryant shot 50 percent from the floor and scored 22 points against the Kings on Tuesday in the Lakers' 122-104 win at ARCO Arena.

Our View:Kobe was deadly from inside the three-point line, shooting 7-of-11. However, it was a different story from long range. He shot just 1-of-5 from the beyond the arc to finish with one of this worst three-point shooting percentages of the season.
April 4, 2009
Kobe Bryant scored 20 points, handed out seven assists, and recorded two steals in the Lakers' 93-81 win over the Rockets at STAPLES Center on Friday.

Our View:Bryant was 4-of-6 from beyond the arc, but he attempted only 11 field goals overall, which tie his season-low. On the flip side, his .636 shooting percentage was his third-highest mark this season.
April 1, 2009
Kobe Bryant scored 30 points in the Lakers 104-98 win over the Bucks on Wednesday. He led all scorers in the game and had eight rebounds and four assists.

Our View:This is only the fifth time in the last month that Kobe has put up 30 or more points. He's still arguably the best in the game, but he hasn't really busted out lately. If we were talking about anyone else this would sound ridiculous.
March 31, 2009
Kobe Bryant led the Lakers with 25 points, but they fell to the Bobcats 94-84 on Tuesday. He also chipped in with two rebounds, two assists and three steals.

Our View:Kobe shot 11-of-28 from the field and 2-of-5 in his three-point chances. He wasn't necessarily "on" by his standards, but fantasy owners shouldn't complain about his 25 points.
March 30, 2009
The Orange County Register reports that Kobe Bryant's ankle is feeling strong and he was a full participant in Monday's practice. The injury had been nagging him since his game last week against the Nets.

Our View:Kobe did not play well on Sunday, but he should be another big time performer in the Lakers four games this week. If he's on your playoff roster, you're in good shape.
March 29, 2009
Kobe Bryant scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds in Los Angeles' 86-76 loss to Atlanta on Sunday.

Our View:Kobe struggled once again versus the Hawks, and he has now averaged only 13.5 points in two games. He did play 37 minutes on Sunday, but his production could have been limited still by his gimpy right ankle.
March 29, 2009
Kobe Bryant is probable for Sunday's game against the Hawks, according to the Sports Network. He has a sprained right ankle.

Our View:He should play, but could be limited by the injury. He only scored 10 points over 28 minutes in his last meeting with Atlanta as well.
March 28, 2009
Kobe Bryant was down on the court for a minute or two after rolling his ankle during a collision at the end of the first half against New Jersey on Friday and walked slowly to the locker room, though he returned at the start of the second half and appeared fine, according to the Los Angeles Times. He finished with 14 points, nine assists and four steals.

Our View:Bryant was asked if he'd possibly be forced to sit against Atlanta on Sunday. "You know I'm playing," he said. "I'll be ready to go." Bryant had his worst game of the year against the Hawks back in mid-February with a season-low 10 points to go along with just four rebounds, two assists and zero steals, though, as long as he's playing, he's still clearly a must-start regardless of the situation.
March 26, 2009
Kobe Bryant led all scorers with 30 in the Lakers' 92-77 victory on Thursday night. He also grabbed eight rebounds and dished out seven assists.

Our View:Kobe has racked up double digit points in every game this season and remains one of the elite of all elite fantasy players. He's averaging about 28 points per game this season.
March 25, 2009
Kobe Bryant and his wife are being sued by their former housekeeper for intolerable working conditions and the couple's refusal to provide health insurance, according to SI.com. She also claims that she was harassed and humiliated.

Our View:This figures to have no impact on Bryant's on-court performance, and it kind of sounds like someone chasing easy money by suing a multi-millionaire. Something tells us Bryant's lawyers will chew this one up and spit it out by the start of next season.
March 24, 2009
Kobe Bryant had a relatively quiet night on Tuesday as the Lakers cruised against the Thunder. The guard scores 19 points and chipped in five assists, three rounds, two blocks, and four steals.

Our View:We said "relatively," right? Kobe played fewer than 30 minutes and didn't need to work too hard.
March 21, 2009
Kobe Bryant led the charge on Saturday as the Lakers topped the Bulls. He scored 28 points and added seven assists.

Our View:The points are nice, but Kobe was only 10-of-25 from the field. Try not to think about what could have been.
March 18, 2009
According to the Orange County Register, Kobe Bryant missed practice Wednesday because he was called in for jury duty.

Our View:It's highly unlikely that Kobe would get picked to serve on a jury, and shouldn't miss any time. Don't even think about taking him out of your lineup.
March 15, 2009

March 11, 2009
Kobe Bryant was on his game as he hit 14-of-23 shots and finished Wednesday's 102-96 win in Houston with 35 points, six assists, four rebounds, four steals, two three-pointers, and two blocks.

Expect him to continue to will his team to victories and for the Lakers to maintain their grasp on the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference.

January 13, 2009
