Updating a previous report, Magic forward Ryan Anderson will not be available for Friday's game against the Nets, according to the Orlando Sentinel. Anderson expects to be ready to return for the team's following game on Monday.

Our View:Anderson is still dealing with a sprained right ankle, and apparently he is still not at 100 percent. He wanted to play against his former team, but it looks like he will have to wait until Monday. He is playing well, but he will lose time when Rashard Lewis returns from suspension.

The Orlando Sentinel reports that forward Ryan Anderson could return as soon as Friday from his sprained ankle. He has missed the Magic's last two games.

Our View:Anderson averaged 15 points through six games this season, but he is in danger of becoming fantasy irrelevant once Rashard Lewis returns from his 10-game suspension.

Updating an earlier item, Ryan Anderson will likely be out on Sunday when the Magic take on the Thunder, according to the Orlando Sentinel. An MRI has revealed, however, that his ankle injury is not particularly serious.

Our View:With Rashard Lewis due back from suspension in nine games, Anderson's time as a worthwhile fantasy contributor is quickly running out.

Ryan Anderson is set to undergo an MRI on Saturday morning after severely spraining his ankle on Friday night, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

Our View:He went down in the third quarter of Orlando's win over the Pistons. The team knows for sure that the ankle is just sprained, and not broken, but the MRI will determine the severity. He almost certainly will not play in the team's next game on Sunday. Anderson is averaging 15 points and five rebounds per game so far this season filling in for the suspended Rashard Lewis.

Ryan Anderson had another nice outing on Wednesday as the Magic defeated the Suns 122-100. Anderson scored 20 points and added ten rebounds and an assist in the win.

Our View:Anderson has been excellent for the Magic so far this season, and this was probably his best performance of the season to date. He is worth a fantasy look, but his value might take a hit when the suspended Rashard Lewis returns to the starting lineup.

Ryan Anderson continued to start at power forward for the Magic in Sunday's win over the Raptors. In 30 minutes, he had 20 points while shooting 5-8 from three-point range. He also had six rebounds.

Our View:Through three games, Anderson is 11-for-20 from three-point range. Expect him to continue to fill-in behind Rashard Lewis once the starter returns from his 10-game suspension.
October 27, 2009
Ryan Anderson is slated to start at power forward at the beginning of the season while Rashard Lewis serves his 10-game suspension, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

Our View:Anderson earned the starting spot with a solid showing in the preseason, but his fantasy value will quickly drop when Lewis is eligible to return.
October 7, 2009
Ryan Anderson came off the bench to lead the Magic with with 16 points in a 90-86 preseason win over the Heat.

Our View:Anderson made plenty of noise from downtown, hitting 4-of-6 shots. He also grabbed five rebounds in the game. Not bad for someone who averaged just 7.4 PPG and 4.7 RPG a year ago.
June 25, 2009
The New Jersey Nets have traded Vince Carter and Ryan Anderson to the Orlando Magic for Rafer Alston, Tony Battie and Courtney Lee, according to ESPN.

Our View:Anderson was the 21st pick in last year's draft and he had a decent rookie season. He made 30 starts and averaged 19.9 minutes in 66 games. He should benefit from playing with Rashard Lewis who has similar size and games.
April 15, 2009
Ryan Anderson has 13 points and 11 rebounds in a low scoring game for the Nets, as they were blown out by the Knicks 102-73 on Wednesday.

Our View:Anderson stepped up after scoring just 17 points in his last two games combined. His 11 rebounds was his highest total since February 7th.
April 10, 2009
Ryan Anderson scored 20 points in a losing effort as the Nets fell to the Pistons 100-93 on Friday. He had four rebounds on the night as well.

Our View:Anderson was good from downtown tonight, hitting 5-of-8 shots from behind the arc. This was a big step up for him considering he's a 34 percent shooter from three-point land on the season.
March 27, 2009
Ryan Anderson will replace Yi Jianlian in New Jersey's starting lineup starting on Friday against the Lakers, according to the New York Post.

Our View:Jianlian had been struggling mightily in his past 18 games since returning from a broken pinkie, and while Anderson is no stud, the move could last the rest of the season and give him a bit of fantasy value. He is a skilled shooter given his size and did log a nice string of games back in early February when he was in the starting lineup. If you need rebounds or three-pointers, you can certainly do worse.
February 7, 2009
Ryan Anderson had another strong game, this time against the Nuggets. The rookie forward finished with 13 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, three treys, and three steals as the Nets defeated the Nuggets

Our View:Anderson has now scored in double digits in four of his last five games, and he has hit three threes in each. He continues to be a more aggressive rebounder, and it's clear that he is getting comfortable in the Nets starting lineup. He makes for a decent pickup, but his minutes will likely shrink when Yi Jianlian returns to the lineup.
February 4, 2009
Ryan Anderson had one of his best game's of his rookie campaign as the Nets throttled the Wizards 115-88 on Wednesday. The 6-foot-10 forward finished with 18 points, nine rebounds, and three treys on 6-for-12 shooting.

Our View:Anderson remains a roller coaster of a player. While he has shown flashes of promise in the Yi Jianlian's absence, he certainly has not blown us away. Most of his performances bring more negatives than positives. Entering the game, he was shooting only 38.6 percent from the field.
January 31, 2009
Ryan Anderson's 11th straight start in place of Yi Jianlian came after his best game as a pro. However, he followed that game up with a 1-for-9 performance in the Nets 85-83 win over the 76ers. He was able to get nine rebounds, four assists, and two assists in the win.

Our View:Anderson has not played well-enough to make him fantasy worthy in most leagues. The Nets have nice size on the bench and the rookie is easily replaced when he is not playing well. He is shooting under 38 percent for the season.
January 11, 2009
With Yi Jianlian (broken pinky) out for a month, rookie Ryan Anderson is expected to be inserted into the Nets' starting-five according to the New York Post. Eduardo Najera will be his primary backup off of the bench.

Our View:Josh Boone would likely be the best option, but he is currently their only option to backup Brook Lopez. Anderson is shooting only 37 percent from the field this season, but he has a reputation of being a good shooter. It would be best to take a wait-and-see approach with him regarding fantasy leagues.
