Brook Lopez scored 18 points, grabbed 20 rebounds, and blocked two shots in the Nets 91-87 win over the Bobcats on Monday.

Our View:If it were the Nets in the playoffs rather than the Bulls, Lopez would be drawing some serious MVP consideration. He figures to rank in the second fantasy tier of centers in his second season as he blocks a lot of shots, shoots high percentages, and has a very good motor leading to a respectable amount of rebounds.

Our View:Lopez has been friendly to fantasy owners this season, averaging nearly a double-double per game, with 12.6 points and 8.0 rebounds. As the seven-footer gains more experience, you'll no longer see the occasional eight-point game like you see now, which will make him a sure-fire fantasy pick.

Brook Lopez came up huge for New Jersey in their win over Milwaukee on Tuesday, putting up 24 points on 9-for-12 shooting while adding 12 boards and three blocks.

Our View:Lopez now has three straight double-doubles, which marks his best stretch of the season. The rookie continues to play well 50 games into the season, and you have to wonder if he will ever hit the proverbial rookie wall. Perhaps not. It should be noted that he is among the leaders at his position with a free-throw shooting percentage of 82.9.

January 21, 2009
Brook Lopez had a rough night on Wednesday, finishing with just eight points and three rebounds.

January 12, 2009
Brook Lopez had the best game of his young career on Monday, scoring a career-high 31 points to go with 13 rebounds and two blocks.

January 5, 2009
Like the rest of the young Nets team, rookie center Brook Lopez is just starting to undergo the NBA learning curve, including dealing with the feeling of getting rejected...by a player who is eight inches shorter, according to the New York Daily News. In New Jersey's 101-96 loss to Miami Saturday night, the former Stanford standout had his shot blocked by 6'4" Dwyane Wade—twice. "When you're a big guy, you can't bring it down to the little man's size," Lopez's teammate Vince Carter said.

Our View:Lopez first year in the league has otherwise been solid. With his 12-point, eight-rebound performance against the Heat, Lopez is now averaging 10.3 points and nearly an assist per game.
