Russell Westbrook scored 22 points on 9-of-18 shooting as the Thunder suffered a 101-94 home loss to the Jazz.

Our View:Westbrook is enjoying a fine rookie season. His average of more than 16.0 points per game is good for 46th in the league, 11th among league point guards, and third among rookies, behind only Derrick Rose and O.J. Mayo.

Russell Westbrook had 20 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and eight turnovers as the Thunder fell to the Suns 106-95 on Saturday.

Our View:It's rare to see a player commit so many turnovers against the effortless Suns defense, but Westbrook would be the most likely player to do so. The Thunder are still not certain whether or not he is a point guard, but his incredible turnover rate suggests that's probably a bad idea. All-in-all it has been a very good rookie season for Westbrook, but the turnovers have to drop.
March 10, 2009
Russell Westbrook was 10-of-20 from the floor, finishing with 22 points in the Thunder's win over the Kings on Tuesday.

Our View:Hats off to Westbrook who has played some excellent basketball this season despite the doubts that surrounded his fourth overall selection last summer. He showed impressive ability by leading his short-handed team to victory over Dallas tonight. Sure he only shot 6-of-18 and committed six turnovers, but his team got the win and he certainly deserves a lot of credit for it.

January 22, 2009
Russell Westbrook recorded a game-high 30 points on Wednesday, helping the Thunder to a 122-121 win over the Warriors.

Our View:Westbrook has scored 30+ points three times this year, so he's shown that he's capable of the big game. However, he's been held mostly in the teens in January, which is a big reason why he's available in about 40 percent of fantasy leagues.

Russell Westbrook scored 14 points on Sunday night though he hit just four of 12 shots from the field. He did soften the blow a bit by hauling in eight rebounds, though he also turned the ball over four times.

Our View:He may not be headed to the Dunk contest but that doesn't mean Russell shouldn't be in everyone's starting lineup on a nightly basis, though it would be nice if he could do something to improve that poor shooting percentage (40%).
