November 17, 2009
Kevin Durant scored a game-high 32 points in Tuesday's 100-87 win at Miami, to go along with nine boards, five assists, one steal and one block.

Our View:Durant topped 30 points for the fourth time over his last five games, and fell one rebound short of collecting his fourth double-double of the season. He should continue to perform up to high expectations for fantasy owners.
November 15, 2009
Kevin Durant was a monster on Sunday in the Thunder's 101-93 loss to the Clippers. Druant scored 40 points and had eight rebounds in the game.

Our View:Durant has been outstanding all season, but he was really unstoppable tonight. He hit 14-of-25 from the field, and the Clips had no answer for him all night. He is living up to all of the lofty expectations placed on him before the season started.
November 14, 2009
Kevin Durant took care of business in Saturday's 101-98 win at San Antonio, as he scored a game-high 25 points. He also had six boards, one assist, one steal and one block.

Our View:Durant reached at least 25 points in eight of his nine outings, and is performing up to expectations as a No. 1 small forward.
November 12, 2009
Kevin Durant had another monster game on Wednesday, pouring in 30 points to go along with ten rebounds, as Oklahoma City edged the Clippers 83-79.

Our View:Put simply, if you took Durant in the first round, you are looking like a genius right now.
November 10, 2009
Kevin Durant poured in a game-high 37 points in Tuesday's 101-98 loss at Sacramento. He also had five rebounds, two assists and three steals.

Our View:The elite small forward could not lead the Thunder to a win, but took care of business for fantasy owners. Durant topped 25 points in four straight games, and set a single-game high for 2009-10 with 37.
November 8, 2009
Kevin Durant led the Thunder to a big win over the Magic on Sunday. Durant had 28 points, four rebounds, and five assists in OKC's 102-74 win.

Our View:Durant has now scored at least 25 points in five of his last six games, and he has been consistently good all season. He has established himself as an elite NBA talent, and he should only get better as the season moves on.
November 6, 2009
Kevin Durant performed well in Friday's 105-94 loss at Houston, as he tallied 27 points, nine rebounds, one assist, three steals and one block.

Our View:Durant fell one board short of his third double-double, and reached at least 25 points for the fourth time over five games.
November 6, 2009
Kevin Durant says his increased emphasis on defense this season has left him exhausted on the offensive side of the ball toward the end of games, according to the Oklahoman.

Our View:He has been wearing down toward the end of games, and air-balled two crucial shots late in the Thunder's near victory over the Lakers on Tuesday. Don't expect it to be an issue for long, however, as Durant is showing again this season that he is quickly turning into one of the game's best players.
November 3, 2009
Kevin Durant led the Thunder with 28 points in Tuesday's 101-98 loss to the Lakers, to go along with four rebounds, five assists and one steal.

Our View:Durant made all eight of his attempts from the charity stripe, but only hit 10-of-24 shots from the floor. He also had seven turnovers, which factored into their close loss. On the positive side, Durant reached at least 25 points in three of his four outings.
November 1, 2009
Kevin Durant hit only 3-of-21 shots in Sunday's 83-74 loss to the Trail Blazers. He hit 10-of-14 free throws to salvage 16 points in the game.

Our View:Through three games, Durant has yet to hit 50 percent of his shots on any night. Tonight was simply unacceptable, though. Furthermore, after posting double digit rebounds in his first two games, he came up with just four on Sunday.
October 30, 2009
Kevin Durant led the Bobcats in Friday's 91-83 win at Detroit, as he scored a team-high 25 points and 12 rebounds. He also chipped in one assist and two steals.

Our View:Durant is off to a strong start for fantasy owners, as he averages 25 points and 11.5 boards over two games.
October 22, 2009
Kevin Durant led the Thunder in scoring yet again on Thursday, but his team fell to the Kings by a score of 104-89. Durant scored 15 points on 5-for-10 shooting in the game.

Our View:Not an overwhelming performance for Durant tonight, but he hit 50 percent of his shots and also had five rebounds and two assists. His numbers should be very impressive when the regular season comes around.
October 20, 2009
Kevin Durant had a solid outing in Tuesday's 119-102 preseason loss to the Spurs, as he generated 23 points, nine boards and three steals. He played 35 minutes.

Our View:Durant has improved in each of his first two seasons in the NBA, and should continue to make strides in 2009-10. He looks to be a safe pick among fantasy forwards.
October 19, 2009
Kevin Durant had another nice outing on Monday in the Thunder's 105-85 loss to the Rockets. Durant finished with 20 points, four rebounds, and two assists in the loss.

Our View:Durant has been solid nearly every time out this preseason, and he has cemented himself as an elite fantasy player. He is a natural scorer, and he can also pull down boards and dish out assists on occasion. He can do it all, and he shouldn't make it out of the first-round of your draft.
October 14, 2009
Kevin Durant put together his second 30-point performance of the week on Wednesday as the Thunder beat the Hawks 96-91. Durant also managed six rebounds and two assists in the win.

Our View:In case you hadn't noticed, this guy is really good. Anyone with a draft coming up needs to bookmark Durant as an early first-round pick, as he looks ready to be a top-five performer.
October 12, 2009
Kevin Durant had 30 points and 11 rebounds on Monday night, leading the Thunder to an overtime victory over Phoenix in preseason action.

Our View:As if you needed any more reminders, Durant is now an elite player in the league, and a top-five fantasy draft talent.
October 10, 2009
Kevin Durant had a rough afternoon on Saturday in the Thunder's 88-79 loss to the Hornets Durant was just 2-for-11 shooting for 11 points and contributed only three boards and three assists.

Our View:Not a great showing for Durant, but it was just a preseason game. There is no reason to think he won't pick up right where he left off last year, where he averaged 25.3 points and 6.5 boards per game.
October 7, 2009
Kevin Durant had a solid outing in tonight's 99-91 preseason loss to the Grizzlies, as he scored a team-high 17 points, to go along with three rebounds and a steal. He played just under 26 minutes.

Our View:Durant broke out last season, as he averaged 25.3 points and 6.5 rebounds per game, and he should continue to improve in his third NBA campaign. He is worth targeting as a No. 1 fantasy forward for 2009-10.
April 16, 2009
The Oklahoman reports that Kevin Durant will attempt to add some muscle to his wiry frame this offseason.

Our View:Durant is already nearing Top 10 status in fantasy leagues and an improved body would only help his cause. The second-year player took a giant leap forward in 2008-09 and the only thing we can ask him to improve from a fantasy standpoint is his assist rate (just 2.8 assists per game this season).
April 16, 2009
Kevin Durant scored a game-high 26 points and added nine rebounds and three assists in the Thunder's 126-85 mashing of the Clippers on Wednesday.

Our View:Durant put up 46 points in his last game against the Clippers and followed up with another strong performance tonight. Owners needed this too after his 10 point performance last game. If only he could play them more often.
April 15, 2009
According to the Oklahoman, the Thunder have hired Scott Brooks as their full-time head coach.

Our View:Brooks was the interim coach, so not much will change in Oklahoma City except for Brooks' salary and psyche. He has apparently signed a multi-year deal, but details of the contract have not yet been released.
April 11, 2009
Kevin Durant scored 19 points, grabbed five rebounds and tossed in two assists a losing effort on Saturday as the Thunder fell to the Bucks 115-98.

Our View:Durant was much more accurate on Saturday than he was in Friday's contest. He was 6-of-13 from the field, a rock-solid 3-of-4 from downtown and hit all four of his free throw chances. Nice to see him rocking the steady hand again.
April 11, 2009
Kevin Durant scored 20 points and came down with 10 rebounds Friday as the Thunder nipped the Bobcats 84-81.

Our View:Durant took a lot of shots in this game. He was just 9-of-24 from the field and 1-of-6 from behind the arc. That's not so good for a guy who shoots almost 48 percent from the field this season.
April 8, 2009
Kevin Durant led his team with 31 points and grabbed seven rebounds as the Thunder fell 122-112 on Monday. He hit 9-of-20 shots and had one turnover against no assists.

Our View:For as much as the ball is in his hands, Durant's 2.9 assists per game are a bit of a disappointment. If there is one element of his game that could still make him a drastically better player, it figures to be his passing.
April 8, 2009
Kevin Durant shot 7-of-16 from the field and scored 24 points against the Spurs in a 99-89 loss on Tuesday evening.

Our View:Durant continues to yield steady, if not spectacular, fantasy returns. With the exception of a flat 13-point performance against Portland on April 3, he's gone for at least 18 points in every game since returning from his ankle injury.
April 5, 2009
Kevin Durant had a game-high 25 points in a 117-99 loss to the Pacers on Sunday. He had six rebounds and two assists in the contest.

Our View:This is a nice, modest return to form. Durant scored a surprisingly low 13 points on Friday and it's good to see him bounce back. However fantasy owners may have been hoping for a bigger bounce back than this.
April 3, 2009
Kevin Durant scored a modest 13 points on 4-of-13 shooting Friday night as Oklahoma City was embarrassed by 35 points at home against Portland.

Our View:It's possible but highly unlikely that Durant's bruised hip had anything do with this performance. You can chalk this one up to an overall pathetic team effort.
April 1, 2009
The Oklahoman reports that Kevin Durant suffered a bruised hip in Tuesday's game with the Spurs, but he does not expect to miss any games due to the injury.

Our View:Durant managed 31 points in 44 minutes of action, so it did not appear to be much of a factor on Tuesday. He mentioned that he "couldn't run like normal". The Thunder have three-straight days off before resuming play on Friday against Portland.
March 31, 2009
Kevin Durant scored 31 points and pulled in eight rebounds in a big win over the Spurs on Tuesday night.

Our View:The lingering effects of the forearm injury appear to be gone as Durant shot 12-of-19 from the field and recorded his highest point total since February 24th.
March 29, 2009
Kevin Durant scored 21 points and collected two boards and two assists in Sunday's loss to Boston.

Our View:Though he has gone for at least 18 points a game since bruising his forearm on Tuesday, Durant may still be feeling its effects. He shot 40 percent the night of the injury and has yet to break that barrier in two games since.
March 25, 2009
Kevin Durant bruised his left forearm during Tuesday's loss to the Lakers. He finished the game with the area wrapped up, NewsOK.com reports.

Our View:This doesn't sound like something that will keep Durant out for long, if at all, but fantasy owners may want to check in again before Friday.
March 24, 2009
Kevin Durant managed 24 points, six rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one block in Tuesday's loss to the Lakers. He hit only 8-of-20 shots and missed all six of his threes.

Our View:Durant has been a fantasy monster since the turn of the calendar year, and this was actually a bit of an off-night for him. Oh well. We forgive you, Kevin.
March 22, 2009
Kevin Durant had 30 points, eight rebounds, and five assists while shooting 13-of-23 from the field as the Thunder won 97-90 in Minnesota on Sunday.

Our View:This marks the first time since Durant has returned from an ankle injury that he has hit the 30-point mark. Prior to his injury, he had scored at least 30 in nine out of 10 games. Expect the scoring to continue to climb.
March 20, 2009
Kevin Durant posted his first double-double in nearly a month Friday night in Oklahoma City's 101-94 loss to Utah. He finished the game with 24 points and 12 rebounds.

Our View:Durant has 13 double-doubles this season, but he had not registered one since Feb. 24, when he went for 32 points and 10 rebounds in a loss to the Lakers.
March 18, 2009
Kevin Durant led all scorers in a loss to the Bulls on Wednesday. He put up 28 points and grabbed six rebounds to boot.

Our View:Durant is the go-to guy in Oklahoma and his numbers continue to increase since his return from an ankle injury.
March 16, 2009
Kevin Durant scored 25 points on 10-of-24 shooting to help push the Thunder past the Spurs on Monday. He also had three rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two three-pointers in the 78-76 win.

Our View:Durant is not near the level he was performing at prior to the ankle injury, but he is still getting comfortable as elements of the Thunder changed while he was gone. Not only was the newly acquired Thabo Sefolosha inserted into the starting lineup, but Nenad Krstic also emerged as an offensive option. Look for his production to increase in the coming week.
March 14, 2009
Kevin Durant returned from a seven-absence to log over 38 minutes in Saturday's 106-95 loss to the Suns. He finished with 22 points and six rebounds in the loss.

Our View:Durant's ankle did not seem to be a factor in tonight's game, which is excellent news for his fantasy owners. Through 57 games this season, he is averaging 26 points and 6.6 rebounds. Consider him a strong play for next week's games.
March 14, 2009
The Oklahoman reports that Kevin Durant is probable to play in Sunday's game. His sprained ankle is considered very close to 100 percent. He has missed the Thunder's last seven games.

Our View:Durant has been a phenomenal fantasy option in his second season, and his return will provide a tremendous boost to his fantasy owners. Through 57 games this season, he is averaging 26 points and 6.6 rebounds. Consider him a strong play for next week's games.
March 13, 2009
Kevin Durant's ankle is close to 100 percent and Durant is expected to practice on Friday and, barring a setback or swelling in his ankle, return to the court against Phoenix on Saturday, according to NewsOk.com.

Our View:"I'm feeling good right now. It's a slight pinch, but it's nothing I can't play on. I'm ready to get back out there as soon as possible," Durant said. It's certainly no sure thing, but it looks like the star forward may finally be back after missing the past seven games. Needless to say, monitor this situation up to game-time on Saturday and be sure to re-insert the stud sophomore back into your lineup if he looks good to go.
March 11, 2009

February 28, 2009
Kevin Durant is not expected to play in tonight's game at Memphis while dealing with a sprained ankle, according to the Associated Press.

Our View:He is day-to-day, and his status for Monday's home game against the Mavs is uncertain. Keep him reserved until further notice.
February 27, 2009
The AP reports that Kevin Durant left Friday's game against the Mavericks with a sprained ankle. X-rays came back negative, but he is not expected to return to the game.

Our View:The second-year player has scored at least 30 points in nine of his last ten games and he's averaging 26.3 this season. We'll have more regarding his status as it is updated.
February 26, 2009
Oklahoma City forward Kevin Durant had his No. 35 retired by the Texas Longhorns Wednesday night, according to the Oklahoman. "I told myself I wasn't going to cry," Durant said. "But once they played a video of highlights from when I was there and then unveiled the jersey I got real emotional."

Our View:In his one and only season in Austin, Durant became the only freshman in NCAA history to be named National College Player of the Year.
February 24, 2009
Durant scored 32 points for a second consecutive game in the Thunder's 107-93 loss to the Lakers on Tuesday. He added ten rebounds to record a double-double in the game.

Our View:Durant has had an unreal year, averaging over 26 points per game and has not slowed down in the second half of the year. Durant has averaged over 33 points a game in his last five games.
February 22, 2009
Kevin Durant went for a mere 32 points on 12-for-20 shooting as the Thunder lost to the Warriors 133-120 on Saturday. It was his lowest scoring output since before the all-star break.

Our View:Through nine February games, the second-year pro is averaging an incredible 33.2 points per game on .535/.515/.872 shooting. He has been unstoppable, but defenses will likely continue to allow him to get his. The Thunder are 2-7 this month.
February 21, 2009
Kevin Durant scored a team-high 35 points on Friday to go with eight rebounds, five assists, and two steals.

Our View:Durant has scored 30+ points in seven out of eight games during the month of February and has 82 points in his past two games.
February 17, 2009
Kevin Durant and the Thunder fell to the Hornets, 100-98, but he did his part, scoring 47 points in the loss.

Our View:If you count the Rookie Challenge, Durant has scored 93 points in his last two games. But since that doesn't count for fantasy owners, the number is really 67.
February 13, 2009
Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant scored a Rookie Challenge-record 46 points Friday night to lead the sophomores to a 122-116 win over the rookies. He hit 17 of his 25 shots from the floor, including 4 of 8 from beyond the arc, to shatter the previous mark of 36 set by Amare Stoudemire in 2004.

Our View:Michael Beasley led all rookies in scoring with 29 points.
February 12, 2009
Kevin Durant failed to score at least 30 points for the first time in five games as the Trail Blazers held him to just 20 points on Wednesday. He managed seven rebounds, four assists, four steals, and a block in the loss.

Our View:Durant has been on fire up until tonight, but he still put together a pretty nice game. By the end of the season, he could be in the discussion of Top 10 fantasy producers in the game.
February 11, 2009
Kevin Durant was sensational in a losing effort Tuesday night in Los Angeles, posting 31 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, and four steals in a 105-98 loss to the Lakers.

Our View:Of all the goofy numbers Durant has put up the last season and a half, those he has created the past five games may be the most lopsided. Since Feb. 1, Durant has scored an average of 33.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game. What may be even more impressive is the fact he has turned it over just 2.4 times a game in February while taking 115 shots.
February 10, 2009
Last season's Rookie of the Year, Kevin Durant, has been named to the field for the NBA's H-O-R-S-E competition to be played Saturday night in Phoenix at the All-Star Block Party, according to Sports Illustrated.

Our View:The other two participants are Joe Johnson of Atlanta and Memphis' O.J. Mayo.
February 8, 2009
Kevin Durant exploded on Sunday for a game-high 39 points to go with seven assists, four rebounds, and two blocks to lead the Thunder to a 116-113 win over the Kings.

Our View:This was Durant's highest point total in his last seven games. The Thunder certainly have one of the league's brightest young stars their young forward.
February 7, 2009
Kevin Durant scored a team-high 31 points on Friday to help lead the Thunder to a 102-93 win over the Blazers. He also contributed three rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block.

Our View:Durant has been in a scoring frenzy lately, scoring 30+ points in three straight games and four of his last five. He's even led the lowly Thunder to a pair of wins over that five-game stretch.
February 4, 2009
For the sixth time in his last eight games, Kevin Durant scored more than 30 points on Wednesday as the Thunder fell 114-113 to the Nuggets. He also had eight rebounds and seven assists in the game.

Our View:Durant is certainly making a strong case to replace Chris Paul in the All-Star game if he cannot go. He had a dominant January, and we only expect the 20-year-old to continue to see improvement.
February 1, 2009
Kevin Durant was fantastic in defeat Sunday afternoon. The second-year pro went 13-for-23 from the field and finished with 33 points in Oklahoma City's 122-118 overtime loss to Sacramento.

Our View:Save for a nine-point performance against Minnesota on Jan. 7 in which he played only 22 minutes, Durant has scored at least 16 points in each of his last 31 games.
January 30, 2009
Kevin Durant recorded a game-high 29 points on Friday to go with 10 rebounds and four assists.

Our View:Durant has recorded double-doubles in two straight games for the Thunder while scoring a total of 64 points.
January 28, 2009
Kevin Durant had one of his more impressive games on Wednesday against Memphis. He finished with 35 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, and four blocks as the Thunder defeated the Grizzlies 114-102 in overtime.

Our View:Durant has taken some big steps in his second season and he is having a Danny Granger-type campaign. All of his shooting percentages are above average and his point per game total has been steadily trending upward.
January 26, 2009
Kevin Durant scored a team-high 18 points on Monday, helping the Thunder to their 10th win of the year. He also chipped in five rebounds and four assists.

Our View:This was the first time since January 7th that Durant was held to under 20 points. He scored just nine points on the 7th against the Timberwolves, but he also only played 22 minutes in that game due to being routed.
January 24, 2009
Kevin Durant scored a career-high 46 points, including a franchise-record 24 free throws, and pulled down 15 boards in Oklahoma City's 107-104 loss to the Clippers at STAPLES Center Friday night.

Our View:Durant is on an absolute tear right now. Including his eye-popping performance Friday, Durant has averaged 29.7 points his last eight games. He has scored at least 18 points in 23 of his last 24 games.
January 18, 2009
Kevin Durant scored a team-high 31 points on Sunday night, though it wasn't enough as the Thunder fell to the Heat 104-94.

Our View:Duant hit 10 of 20 shots, and was 8-for-9 from the line, but he received little in the way of scoring help from his mates. He continues to score a boatload of points, about 24 per game, and his FT% of over 85% is a nice boost to his value.
January 16, 2009
Kevin Durant recorded 32 points, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals in Friday's win against the Pistons.

Our View:Durant has scored 30+ twice in January and six times overall this season. Durant's probably more excited about other numbers though, as this was the first time since the club moved to Oklahoma City that they have won consecutive games and they're 4-4 in 2009.
January 12, 2009
Kevin Durant was solid once again on Monday, finishing with 26 points, nine rebounds, two steals, and two assists.

Our View:Durant's club is playing better, even though they're still losing on a consistent basis. In their last three games, they have two losses by four points or fewer and a win. Durant's been steady lately as well, only scoring fewer than 26 points once in six games during the month of January.
January 10, 2009
Kevin Durant led the Thunder to their sixth win of the year on Saturday, scoring 28 points to go with 12 rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

Our View:Durant has scored 27+ points in four of his last five games. This was also Durant's fourth double-double in his last eight games.
January 9, 2009
Kevin Durant led all scorers with 27 points as the Thunder fell 96-98 on Friday. He also had seven turnovers, six rebounds, and five assists in the close loss.

Our View:Durant is a scoring machine, but he is averaging three turnovers per game. As a result, he is considerably more valuable in leagues that do not count that statistic.
January 6, 2009
Oklahoma City won their fifth game of the year by downing the Knicks 107-100, and Kevin Durant paced the Thunder with 27 points and 12 rebounds.

January 2, 2009
