November 4, 2009 Olexsiy Pecherov made the most of his extended playing time on Wednesday in the T-Wolves' loss to the Celtics. Pecherov scored 24 points and had eight rebounds in the game. Our View:This was quite the breakout game for Pecherov, as he was averaging only eight points and 3.5 rebounds per game before tonight. He might be worth monitoring over the next few games, but don't expect nights like this consistently. |

November 1, 2009 Olexsiy Pecherov has replaced Damien Wilkins in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against Phoenix, according to the Star Tribune. Our View:The Timberwolves lineup will continue to fluctuate until Kevin Love returns from his hand injury. For now, Pecherov is not worthy of a fantasy roster spot, but it will be worth watching what he can do with extended minutes. |

October 22, 2009 Olexsiy Pecherov looked like a force on Thursday in the T-Wolves' win over the Pistons on Thursday. Pecherov had ten rebounds to go along with his 20 points in the game. Our View:This is a heck of a surprise considering Pecherov averaged only 3.6 points and 2.4 rebounds in 32 games last season. He is a former first-rounder who might finally be realizing his potential, and he could be a name to keep an eye on this season if injury befalls starter Al Jefferson. |
