October 13, 2009 The Toronto Raptors are very impressed with center Amir Johnson's ability to run the floor and provide energy off the bench, according to the Toronto Sun. Johnson was acquired by the team from Milwaukee in August. Our View:Johnson is a role player who plays his spot well for the team. He will get into foul trouble, but he will also rebound and dive for loose balls. He is one o those guys that don't pop on the stat sheet but are important to the game in certain spots. He will have no fantasy value however, because it is all aboutthe stat sheet. |

August 18, 2009 The Toronto Sun reports that Amir Johnson and Sonny Weems have been dealt to Toronto for Carlos Delfino and Roko Ukic. Our View:As backups in Toronto Johnson and Weems will provide depth, but likely won't have any fantasy value. |

February 17, 2009 Amir Johnson has been demoted to a bench role with Antonio McDyess replacing him in the starting lineup, according to the Detroit News. Our View:Johnson has been struggling as of late, and coach Michael Curry is hoping he will perform better against second-line players. Johnson should not be considered for fantasy lineups anymore. |

On Friday against the Pistons, he played just five minutes, scored two points, and grabbed one rebound.
