November 4, 2009
Danny Granger led the Pacers with 21 points on Wednesday as they picked up their first win of the season against the Knicks. Granger also had five rebounds, four assists, and four steals in the win.

Our View:Granger was coming off a tough performance in last night's loss, but he was much better in tonight's win. With Troy Murphy out tonight, Granger picked up his game and delivered the first win of the season. Expect his fantasy stock to continue to hold steady all season.
November 3, 2009

October 28, 2009

October 28, 2009
Updating a previous report, Pacers' All-Star forward Danny Granger participated in the team's shootaround on Wednesday morning and could play in their opener tonight, according to the Indianapolis Star. The team wants to see how his bruised heel responds before making a decision on him for the opener.

Our View:Granger wasn't expected to be able to go tonight, but it is starting to look like he may suit up. Fantasy owners will want to check back for an update later in the day, but there is a chance he goes tonight.
October 27, 2009
Dealing with a bruised heel, Danny Granger is not likely to play in the Pacers' season opener against the Hawks on Wednesday, according to Mike Wells of the Indianapolis Star.

Our View:If he is out tomorrow, that's likely the only game he would miss. Luther Head and Dahntay Jones should fill-in if he in unavailable.
October 23, 2009

October 13, 2009
The Indianapolis Star is reporting that Pacers' forward Danny Granger sat out the end of practice with a sore right foot. The injury is not expected to be serious.

Our View:A sore right foot isn't anything to worry about, as Granger should be fine in a few days. Teams are always cautious with their stars in the preseason, so Granger should remain very high on your draft board.
October 11, 2009
Indy Corn Rows reports that Danny Granger was ejected from Sunday's game against the Nuggets for arguing foul calls. He received two of the six technicals called in the game.

Our View:There's no reason to downgrade Granger on draft day. His incredible scoring ability and contributions in every category make him a sure-fire top seven pick.
October 3, 2009
Danny Granger scored 27 points in the Pacers' preseason debut on Friday.

Our View:Fresh off his breakout 2008-09 campaign, Granger didn't miss a beat on Saturday. After averaging 25.8 points per game a season ago, he is a top shelf option at forward.
August 20, 2009
According to the Indianapolis Star, Danny Granger's knee is fully healthy and he is ready to go for the upcoming season.

Our View:Granger appears to be 100 percent and the man who was named the NBA's most improved player last season will keep his elite fantasy status. He averaged 25.8 points per game last season and has raised his average by at least five points in each season of his career.
May 12, 2009
The Seattle Post-Intelligencer is reporting that Danny Granger has officially been named the NBA's most improved player for last season. Granger accepted the award Tuesday morning during a ceremony in Indianapolis.

May 7, 2009
Danny Granger has been invited to participate in a USA basketball training camp this summer, according to SI.com. He has yet to accept the invitation.

Our View:Granger was limited to 67 games this past season due to an assortment of injuries, including his historically balky knees. For his fantasy owners, we would rather he bypass the activities and get as much rest as possible.
April 21, 2009
Pacers GM Larry Bird will stick with coach Jim O'Brien for next season despite back-to-back losing seasons, according to CBSSports.

Our View:O'Brien is among the more fantasy friendly coaches in the league, so we should greet the announcement with a round of applause. He encourages three-point shooting and discourages (maybe not literally) defense.
April 15, 2009
Danny Granger scored a game-high 35 points Wednesday as the Pacers won their final regular season game 115-108 over the Bucks.

Our View:Along with his 35 points Granger had nine rebounds, four assists, three steals and three blocked shots. His shot was electric as he hit 10-of-16 from the field, including 5-of-7 from downtown.
April 13, 2009

April 10, 2009
Danny Granger had a game-high 35 points, grabbed four rebounds and snatched three steals, but the Pacers fell to the Hawks 122-118.

Our View:This is the second time in four games that Granger has totaled 35 points and he has been sticking it to the opposition. In April he has scored 123 points in just four games. He remains a must start.
April 8, 2009
Danny Granger scored 29 points on 10-of-16 shooting and grabbed four rebounds as the Pacers crushed the Raptors 130-101.

Our View:Granger has been a force on the offensive end over the past two weeks. Despite playing witha sore ankle, the forward refuses to take it easy on his competition. On the season, he is averaging a career-high 25.3 points per game.
April 5, 2009
Danny Granger hit half of his 18 shots and scored 24 points as the Pacers trampled the Thunder 117-99. He chipped in with four rebounds, an assist, a steal and a blocked shot as well.

Our View:Granger is a big-time scorer, so that's why a game like this seems like a disappointment. He missed all of his four three-point chances and totaled one point less than his season average. It seems worse than it is because he scored 30+ points in each of his four previous games.
April 3, 2009
Danny Granger poured in a game-high 35 points on Thursday against the Spurs, but it wasn't enough in a 126-121 Pacers loss.

Our View:Granger enjoyed another fruitful night from the floor, shooting 15-of-24, including 3-of-4 from long range. It marks the ninth straight game in which he has shot better than 40 percent from beyond the arc.
March 31, 2009
Danny Granger led all scorers with 31 points in Tuesday's game against the Bulls. He tacked on four rebounds and two blocked shots in the Pacers 107-105 victory.

Our View:Granger appears to be in tip-top shape and has resumed his place among the NBA's top scorers. He was in strong shooting form Tuesday going 11-for-19 from the field and hitting 4-of-10 from behind the arc.
March 29, 2009
Danny Granger shot 10-of-16 from the floor to finish the Pacers' 124-115 win over the Wizards with 31 points. He also had six boards and three assists.

March 28, 2009
Danny Granger scored 32 points off 10-of-24 shooting from the field and 8-of-8 from the free throw line with four three-pointers and three steals.

Our View:It looks like Granger has finally regained his groove since returning from an ankle injury and should be one of the better fantasy players in the NBA over the final two-plus weeks of the season.
March 25, 2009
Danny Granger was good for 28 points on 10-of-20 shooting as the Pacers beat the Heat 90-88 on Wednesday. The all-star also contributed four rebounds, three steals, three treys, and two blocks in the win.

Our View:Granger's shooting has been off and on since returning from an ankle injury, but it seems to be getting better. Thanks to his 24.8 point scoring average, he is pegged as a scorer. His fantasy owners are well aware of his capability to contribute everywhere, though, especially on defense.
March 21, 2009
Danny Granger put up 21 points on Saturday night n the Pacers 108-83 win over Charlotte.

Our View:He's been pretty good since returning from injury and was more accurate Saturday than in Friday night's contest. He hit 8-of-17 from the field and made 50% of his three-point attempts (4-of-8).
March 20, 2009
Danny Granger scored a team-high 18 points on 8-of-26 shooting to go along with 11 rebounds in Indiana's 94-92 home loss to Dallas.

Our View:Granger struggled mightily from the floor Friday, especially when compared to his 12-for-24 performance against Portland on Wednesday, when he went for 35 points. Considering Granger played a team-high 41 minutes, this one can be chalked up to good 'ol poor shooting, and not a setback with his recent injury.
March 18, 2009
Danny Granger scored 35 points and grabbed ten rebounds in Indiana's loss to Portland on Wednesday.

Our View:Granger was dominant in his return from injury. He looks to be fully recovered and should be employed in all fantasy lineups from now on as he is a top fantasy scorer.
March 18, 2009
Danny Granger is expected to return to the court tonight against Portland, according to the Indianapolis Star. He has been recovering from a partially torn tendon in his right foot.

March 15, 2009
Danny Granger scored 10 points in 19 minutes Sunday as he returned to the lineup for the first time in 11 games. The Pacers lost to the Raptors 110-87.

March 10, 2009
Danny Granger indicated that he is nearly ready to return to the court following his recovery from a torn tendon in his right foot, according to the Associated Press. Granger said, "We were hoping for today, but that is out of the question. By Friday, I think I should be OK. If not Friday, then definitely Sunday."

Our View:So it looks like Granger could return Friday at Atlanta or at Toronto on Sunday. Granger should provide a boost to the Pacers and fantasy owners upon his return, as he averages 25 points per contest.
March 6, 2009
Coach Jim O'Brien told 1070 The Fan that Danny Granger's first game back will be Tuesday at the earliest. He is dealing with a sprained ankle that has kept him out for two weeks.

Our View:Granger's absence is a tough one to swallow for his fantasy owners, as his all around production is some of the best in the game. If he cannot make Tuesday's game, he should be back for Friday's tilt with the Hawks.
March 5, 2009
Danny Granger is currently "out" for Saturday's game against the Clippers, but his status could change as he will be reevaluated after Friday's practice, according to 1070thefan.com.

Our View:Keep a close eye on Granger as his status may change and he's too valuable to be left out of your lineup if healthy.
March 2, 2009
Danny Granger is nearing his return to the court following his recovery from a partially torn tendon in his right foot, according to the Pacers' team website. He said, "There is probably going to be some pain, but we have to make sure the tendon heals all the way."

February 19, 2009

February 17, 2009
All-Star Danny Granger led the Pacers to a 100-91 win over the 76ers by scoring 20 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.

Our View:Granger also had four dimes and blocked four shots. Despite putting up good all around totals, Granger hasn't shot well of late, with a field-goal percentage of just 39 percent over his last five games.
February 15, 2009
The Star-Tribune points out that Danny Granger's knees have been a concern since college. They were the primary reason that he fell to the No. 17 spot in the 2005 draft behind the likes of Yaroslav Korolev, Fran Vasquez, Sean May, and Rashad McCants. The All-Star has been playing with knee pain for several weeks.

Our View:Granger's knees have his owners more than a little edgy right now. In fact, given his incredible value, it may be worth a shot to look at possible trade options that could help improve your team. Granger does it all though, so you would likely be sacraficing in a couple categories in a straight-up 1-for-1 deal. On a side note, Elgin Baylor selected Yaroslav Korolev with the 11th overall pick in 2005, yet he somehow has found a reason to sue his former employer. We feel it should probably be the other way around.
February 11, 2009
Danny Granger was effective for the second straight night on Wednesday, but this time his Pacers fell 122-110 to the Bucks. He finished with 26 points, five rebounds and two blocks in the loss.

Our View:Granger shot only 5-of-18 from the field but a perfect 13-of-13 from the free throw line. The good news is that his sore knee did not appear to limit him much as he recorded 34 minutes in the second game of a back-to-back.
February 8, 2009
Danny Granger scored a team-high 29 points in Sunday's 119-117 loss to the Wizards. He also chipped in five rebounds and four assists.

February 6, 2009
Danny Granger played through a sore knee on Friday to score a game-high 33 points for the Pacers, leading them to a 107-102 win over the Magic. He also chipped in five rebounds, two blocks, and one assist.

Our View:This was the first time since January 19th that Granger has managed to score 30+ points in a game. This gives him 14 games this year in which he's reached the 30-point plateau, but he's tailed off a bit lately. He's still worth keeping in fantasy lineups, as even with a knee injury he's capable of posting a big game.
February 6, 2009
Danny Granger is nursing a sore knee and could miss tonight's home game against the Magic, according to the Sports Network.

Our View:Granger would be a tough loss if unable to go as he is the Pacers' leading scorer, averaging 25.3 points per contest. We will keep you posted on his status.
February 3, 2009
Danny Granger scored a game high 28 points on Tuesday as the Pacers lost at home to the Timberwolves 116-111.

Our View:Granger was 10-of-19 from the field, including a 4-of-7 performance from three point land. Granger has been outstanding this season, averaging over 25 points per game.
January 31, 2009
Despite a sore knee, Danny Granger played over 37 minutes on Saturday as the Pacers fell at home to the Knicks 122-113. He shot 6-of-17 from the field and finished with 19 points, eight rebounds, and four blocked shots.

Our View:It is beginning to seem like only a matter of time before Granger rests his knee, but until he does, he is a must-start. It's easy to forget how good he is at blocking shots because of all his scoring, but he is averaging 1.4 blocks this season.
January 31, 2009
The New York Post reports that Danny Granger considers himself "50-50" for Saturday's game against the Knicks. He has been dealing with a sore knee for more than a week, but he was able to go Friday against the Heat.

Our View:Granger was recently named to his first All-Star game, but he could very well skip it if he needs to rest the knee. That would probably be good news for his fantasy owners.
January 30, 2009
Updating an earlier report, Danny Granger expects to play tonight against Miami, according to the Associated Press. He was questionable with a sore knee.

Our View:Granger, who is the Pacers' leading scorer, should be fine to employ in fantasy lineups for tonight. He scored 23 points in his last meeting with the Heat.
January 30, 2009
Danny Granger is questionable for tonight's home game against the Heat while nursing a sore knee, according to the Sports Network.

Our View:Granger is the Pacers' leading scorer, averaging 25.8 points per contest, and the club is yet to speculate if he will go tonight.
January 28, 2009
NBA.com reports that Danny Granger sat out Wednesday's game due to a sore knee. Apparently the knee has been bothering him for a while. "It's been building," said Coach Jim O'Brien. "We knew there was a chance he wasn't going to be able to play after last night's game. He was in a lot of pain and had trouble walking down stairs."

Our View:Keep an eye on this situation, as it could cause him to be shut down for an extended period. Granger is averaging 27.5 points per game this month but he has gone cold over his last seven games. He has hit just 49-of-140 (35 percent) field goal attempts in that span.
January 25, 2009
Danny Granger picked up a game-high 27 points on Sunday, leading the Pacers to a 98-93 win over Charlotte. He also racked up six rebounds, three assists, and one block.

Our View:Granger has 25+ points in three of his past four games for the Pacers. He's a great fantasy player because he consistently scores 20+ points while occasionally exploding for 40+, which he has done three times in 41 games.
January 23, 2009
Danny Granger scored 20+ points for the 11th time this month Friday night as the Pacers beat the Rockets 107-102.

Our View:Just to give you an idea as to what kind of season Granger is having: He scored 30+ points in a game six times all of last season. He has accomplished the feat six times in the last three weeks.
January 20, 2009
Danny Granger went 5-of-15 from the floor and finished with 15 points in Indiana's 99-81 loss at San Antonio.

Our View:Granger's 15 points Tuesday seem rather pedestrian when you consider he came into the game averaging a gaudy 30.7 points in January.
January 19, 2009
Danny Granger scored 30 points, including a game-tieing three-pointer with less than three seconds left, but the Pacers fell 103-100 in New Orleans on Monday. The forward grabbed five rebounds and hit five three-pointers in the tough loss.

Our View:Granger has scored at least 30 points on 14 occasions this season, including six times in his last nine games. Fantasy owners know Granger belongs in the All-Star game, but his vote total will be far less than it needs to be when voting closes at midnight on Monday.
January 16, 2009
Danny Granger was held to just 23 points on Friday by the Raptors, but Indiana still prevailed by a score of 111-104.

Our View:This was Granger's lowest point total in his last eight games, but he was only on the floor for 32 minutes. He did finish the game with four fouls, so this may have factored into his low amount of playing time.
January 14, 2009
Danny Granger scored 24 points and snagged 10 rebounds as the Pacers beat the Pistons 110-106 in overtimes. However, he only shot 6-for-20 from the field.

Our View:Even when he's off, Granger knows how to produce for his fantasy owners. The elite forward entered the game averaging 26.5 points and is one of the few players to notch more than a steal and a block per game.
January 12, 2009
Danny Granger scored 30 points on Monday in addition to seven assists, two blocks, and one rebound.

Our View:Granger has returned to his form from earlier this season, scoring 30+ points in five of his last six games.
January 11, 2009
Despite losing 120-117 to the Warriors, it was a great night for Pacers forward Danny Granger, who scored 42 points.

Our View:Granger has been nearly unstoppable lately. After averaging 23.6 points in November and 25.6 in December, he's put up 33.3 in January.
January 10, 2009
Danny Granger led all Pacers with 28 points as they fell to the Lakers 121-119 on Friday.

Our View:Granger has been very aggressive on the offensive end of late. He is averaging 31.6 points over his last five games.
January 7, 2009
Danny Granger scored 37 points to lead the Pacers over the Suns in Phoenix on Wednesday. He also had six assists, five treys, five rebounds, four steals, and a block.

Our View:Granger has shown that last season's dominance was no fluke. He has scored 35 or more in three straight games and 10 times this season.
January 5, 2009
Danny Granger led the Pacers in scoring again on Monday with 36 points. He also recorded five rebounds and four assists.

Our View:Granger has scored 30+ in three of his last five games.
January 3, 2009
Danny Granger led the Pacers with 35 points in Saturday's 122-117 win over the Kings, with six boards, four assists and two blocks.

Our View:He reached at least 30 points for the ninth time this season, and should remain a solid fantasy option heading into the new week.
