Kevin Martin appears poised to miss two months of the season after suffering a hairline fracture on his non-shooting hand, according to the Sacramento Bee.

Our View:He is considering playing through the injury, but that would entail playing more than 70 games at less than 100 percent this season. At still only 25 years of age, Martin seems likely to be persuaded to sit out and heal up. Start scrounging the waiver wires for a fill-in. For the Kings, Beno Udrih should see the biggest increase in minutes.

According to the Sacramento Bee, Kevin Martin's hand injury has been diagnosed as a hairline fracture.

Our View:The fracture is on his left (non-shooting) hand, but he still stands to miss some time. There is no time table set for his return yet, but this is certainly bad news for owners of the scoring machine who put up 24.6 PPG last season. More info to come.

Kevin Martin sore and swollen hand looked fine on Wednesday as he poured in 29 points in the Kings' loss to the Hawks. Martin had 11 rebounds and two assists in the game as well.

Our View:Martin didn't quite have the shooting touch he did in his last outing, but he still looked very good tonight. He is an elite scorer, and he even managed to contribute on the glass tonight. His fantasy production should remain very good as long as he stays on the court.
