Devin Harris (groin) says he will make his return to the Nets lineup on Saturday, according to the Newark Star-Ledger.

Our View:Harris last played on October 30: His team's record in his absence? 0-10. Although he will be rusty, he's now the kind of player that warrants immediate insertion into your lineup, regardless of his health status.
November 11, 2009
Devin Harris and Courtney Lee took part in shooting drills for the second straight day on Wednesday, but neither player is expected to play against the 76ers, according to the New York Daily News. Both players are dealing with groin injuries.

Our View:The Nets will only have eight healthy players available tonight, as they have been devastated by injury early in the season. It's good to see Harris and Lee back on the court, but they won't be of any help to fantasy owners tonight.
November 10, 2009
Devin Harris practiced on Tuesday for the first time since injuring his groin on October 30, according to the Newark Star-Leger.

Our View:He did some "catch-and-shoot" and some running. He isn't expected back until early December, but that could be bumped up if he starts having some good practices.
November 5, 2009
According to the Newark Star-Ledger, Nets' point guard Devin Harris could miss up to another month due to his groin injury. Harris said he will miss at least two more weeks with the injury.

Our View:Harris will be evaluated after two weeks, and if he is not 100 percent he said he will sit out another two weeks. This is starting to become a very frustrating situation for fantasy owners, but hang tight and he will be worth it when he gets healthy.
November 2, 2009
The Score is reporting that Nets' guard Devin Harris will be out indefinitely due to his groin injury. Harris aggravated the injury in Friday's game against the Magic.

Our View:Harris is expected to miss at least ten days, but this news means he could be out for more. Fantasy owners should be concerned, as he has struggled with injuries throughout the preseason and into the regular season. We will keep you updated on his status going forward.
November 1, 2009
According to the New York Post, Nets' point guard Devin Harris will miss seven-to-ten days due to his strained groin. Harris aggravated the injury in Friday's loss to the Magic.

Our View:The Nets don't sound optimistic about this diagnosis, and they feel ten days is the minimum amount of time he could miss. Harris owners knew the injury risk when you drafted him, but he is worth it as long as he comes back at 100 percent.
October 31, 2009
The Newark Star-Ledger is reporting that Nets' point guard Devin Harris will likely sit out Saturday's game due to his strained groin. Harris played in Friday's loss to the Magic, but his groin tightened up on his after the game.

Our View:Tough break here for fantasy owners, as it looked like Harris had put the groin injury behind him. Hopefully he will only miss this one game, but we will keep you updated.
October 30, 2009
Devin Harris performed well in tonight's 95-85 loss to the Magic, as he recorded 16 points, five rebounds, seven assists and two steals. He did not have any turnovers in the contest.

Our View:Harris could have had more points, but he missed all three of his shots from three-point range. He looks to be recovered from his groin strain, evidenced by his productive outing.
October 25, 2009
According to the Newark Star-Ledger, Devin Harris returned to practice on Sunday and expects to be ready for Wednesday's regular season opener.

Our View:Harris has played just 58 minutes this preseason because of a groin strain, but vows that he will be good to go on Wednesday. He's not the most durable player, but has big fantasy upside when he's healthy.
October 18, 2009
Devin Harris, who is day-to-day with with a groin strain, did some floor work for about an hour on Sunday, according to the Newark Star-Ledger. Harris has missed most of the preseason due to injury.

Our View:Harris sounds like he is nearing a return, but with all of the injury trouble he has had so far this season, the team is going to take it slow. It looks like he should be ready for the preseason, but the way things have gone for Harris so far, you just never know.
October 14, 2009
The New York Daily News is reporting that Nets' guard Devin Harris did not practice again on Wednesday and isn't expected to play in the team's preseason game on Friday against the Knicks. Harris is dealing with a strained groin after missing time earlier in the preseason with a pair of sprained ankles.

Our View:The Nets are starting to get a bit concerned with the durability of Harris, and rightfully so. They can't afford for him to miss any time during the regular season, so three seperate injuries already is concerning. As long as he is healthy when the season starts it shouldn't be an issue, but it is something to keep an eye on.
October 9, 2009
According to Nets Daily, guard Devin Harris returned to action on Friday from an ankle sprain and then left after 20 minutes of play when he re-injured that same ankle.

Our View:Harris missed 13 games due to various injuries last season and now has two ankle sprains since training camp. It's not a stretch to say that this guy is injury-prone. Draft with caution despite the fact that he averaged 21.3 points and almost seven assists per game last year.
October 6, 2009
Devin Harris turned his ankle during Tuesday's practice, according to NetsDaily.com.

Our View:Harris' X-ray came back negative, and he stated there is no need for concern. It sounds like the star guard is going to be fine.
October 4, 2009
According to the New York Post, Nets' guard Devin Harris has taken on a leadership role with the team. Harris is only 26, but he has matured to a point that he is looked at as a leader on the team.

Our View:Harris is the Nets' best and most exciting player, and his teammates will be looking to him to lead by example this season. He is a star in this league, and people who don't know about him yet will soon enough.
September 23, 2009
The Newark Star-Ledger is reporting that Nets owner Bruce Ratner has reached an agreement to sell 80 percent of the team to Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov. Prokhorov will pay $200 million for the controlling stake in the team.

Our View:This is a move that could change the Nets' franchise in a major way. Prokhorov has more money than he knows what to do with, and he is known as being very aggressive when it comes to owning a team. It's hard to predict what impact this will have on the immediate future of the team, but keep an eye on the Nets this season.
September 22, 2009
Updating a previous report, ESPN.com is reporting that Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov has confirmed his interest in purchasing a controlling interest of the New Jersey Nets. The deal is estimated to be worth close to $700 million.

Our View:It sounds like this deal is closer than originally thought, because Prokhorov has now confirmed that his interest is real. He would have to fund most of a new stadium, but his net worth is reportedly $9.5 billion, so he has the cash.
September 18, 2009
SI.com is reporting that Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov is considering a deal with the New Jersey Nets to help fund a new stadium in exchange for a large stake of the club in return. Nets' owner Bruce Ratner has until the December deadline for his plan to build a stadium in Brooklyn to move the team in 2011 or they will lose much of the funding.

Our View:Prokhorov is the richest man in all of Russia, and it looks like this could be a good match. He is part-owner of a Russian basketball, and it looks like he wants to get involved in the NBA. The Nets would welcome this move.
April 29, 2009
The Nets will keep head coach Lawrence Frank for the 2009-10 campaigns, the AP confirms. The team has missed the playoffs in two straight seasons. Frank is 225-225 over his five-plus years with the club.

Our View:We like the move. The Nets didn't have much talent behind Vince Carter and Devin Harris this past season, and Frank will have one more chance to see if he can mold the Nets younger players into quality, complimentary parts.
April 13, 2009
Devin Harris is expected to play in tonight's home game against the Bobcats, according to the New York Post. He is nursing a sore left shoulder.

Our View:Harris racked up 26 points in his last match-up with Charlotte, and should be fine to pencil into fantasy lineups for tonight.
April 12, 2009
Devin Harris, who is nursing a shoulder injury, is hoping to return to the court for the Nets' final two contests of the regular season, according to the New York Post.

Our View:The Nets' last two games are Monday against Charlotte and Wednesday at New York. The Nets are out of playoff contention, and the club may decide to shut Harris down.
April 4, 2009
Devin Harris was productive in Saturday's 103-94 loss to the Bulls, as he generated 14 points, eight rebounds, five assists and three steals.

Our View:He didn't notch a double-double and scored below his season average of 22.1 points, but fantasy owners should still be pleased with his solid overall statline.
April 1, 2009
Devin Harris recorded a double-double on Wednesday night as the Nets whipped the Pistons 111-98. He had 19 points, 11 assists and three rebounds.

Our View:Yet another strong game for Harris after missing time with a shoulder injury. Since returning he's recorded two double-doubles and has scored at least ten points in all four games.
March 29, 2009
Devin Harris posted 19 points on 6-of-13 shooting on Sunday as the Nets fell to the Timberwolves 108-99.

Our View:After missing five games with a shoulder injury, Harris has averaged 16 points in two contests while playing 38.5 minutes. Judging by his playing time, he appears to be back at full-strength.
March 27, 2009
Updating a previous report, Devin Harris returned to the Nets' lineup Friday after missing 12 games with a shoulder injury.

Our View:Feel free to get Harris back into your lineup. His 22.6 point-per-game average is too good to leave on the bench.
March 27, 2009
Harris, who had been targeting a return Friday against the Lakers, remains questionable with a shoulder injury, according to the New York Post.

Our View:"Still sore," Harris said of his shoulder. "We'll make a decision probably at game time." If you have another option, it'd probably be best to keep Harris on the bench, as a decision may not be made until right before tip-off regarding whether or not he'll play. Keyon Dooling remains a fine fantasy option as long as Harris remains out.
March 26, 2009
Head coach Lawrence Frank said that Devin Harris, who's missed New Jersey's past five games with a shoulder injury, could return to the court against the Lakers on Friday, according to the Associated Press.

Our View:Harris has broken out into becoming a star performer this season, but it hasn't been without several bumps and bruises along the way. He's a must start when active, though it doesn't appear to be a guarantee that he'll be back Friday, so stay tuned. Keyon Dooling has gained nice fantasy value in Harris' absence but could probably be safely dropped in most leagues upon Harris' return.
March 25, 2009
Devin Harris is likely to miss tonight's game against the Cavs, according to the Sports Network.

Our View:Harris has missed the last four games with a shoulder injury, and he should remain reserved on fantasy rosters until further notice.
March 24, 2009
Guard Devin Harris (shoulder) shot around on Tuesday, but he is not expected to play on Wednesday. He could return on Friday against the Lakers, the Bergen Record reports. Harris has missed four straight games.

Our View:Any thoughts of the Nets pushing for the eighth playoff spot have faded with Harris's shoulder injury. Fantasy owners should check back in again before Friday's tilt.
March 22, 2009
Nets Daily reports that Devin Harris is not likely to return from his sprained shoulder this Wednesday.

Our View:Harris could miss up to two weeks with the injury, but he could possibly push himself to return earlier given that the Nets are trying to land a playoff spot. Keyon Dooling will start in his place in the meantime. Consider Harris a very risky play this week.
March 18, 2009
Devin Harris' MRI revealed that he has a sprained left shoulder, according to the NY Post. He also has a strained deltoid muscle.

Our View:Usually this type of injury keeps a player out for up to two weeks, but the club did not set a timetable for his return.
March 17, 2009
Nets guard Devin Harris had been sidelined indefinitely due to the shoulder injury he suffered Sunday night, according to the Associated Press. There is no timetable for his return.

Our View:Harris was having a stellar season, averaging over 22 points per game and will be sorely missed by the Nets and on fantasy rosters. Keep a close eye on his return.
March 16, 2009
The New York Post reveals that Devin Harris has been ruled out for Monday's game against Denver. He injured his shoulder in a collision with Marcus Camby on Sunday night.

Our View:X-rays did not reveal any damage in his shoulder, so it would seem unlikely that he misses extended time. With the Nets battling for a playoff spot, look for Harris to try and play through the pain at some point in the near future.
March 16, 2009
Devin Harris is doubtful for tonight's game at Denver while dealing with a sprained shoulder, according to the Sports Network. X-rays on his shoulder were negative.

Our View:He will be missed by the Nets and fantasy owners, as Harris is averaging 22.6 points and seven assists per game. Keep him reserved until further notice.
March 15, 2009
Devin Harris left Sunday's game against the Clippers near the beginning of the third quarter with a strained left shoulder, according to the AP. He suffered the injury when his shot was rejected by Marcus Camby and he fell to the floor.

March 12, 2009
Devin Harris led the Nets in points (31), assists (12), rebounding (7), and steals (3) on Wednesday in a 116-112 los to the Warriors.

Our View:Harris has re-discovered the type of game that made him so dominant earlier in the season. He has been a fantasy beast over the last couple of weeks, and we expect him to keep it up as every game matters for the playoff hungry Nets.
March 8, 2009
Devin Harris tallied a game-high 35 points on 12-of-22 shooting and added 10 assists Sunday in the Nets' 106-101 win over the Knicks.

March 6, 2009
Devin Harris scored a team-high 25 points on 8-of-15 shooting as the Nets fell to the Magic 105-102.

March 6, 2009
Devin Harris is dealing with a left knee injury, but he expects to play tonight against Orlando, according to the Star-Ledger. He also has a hamstring ailment.

Our View:He is worth considering for fantasy lineups, as he racked up 28 points and 12 assists in his last battle with the Magic.
March 4, 2009
Devin Harris had an off-night from the field, but he still managed 25 points and 11 assists as the Nets fell to the Celtics 115-111 on Wednesday. He shot 7-of-21 and had six turnovers.

Our View:Rajon Rondo's defense at the position is some of the best. Harris was able to make nine trips to the foul line and converted each attempt. He has three straight double-doubles.
March 1, 2009
Devin Harris tied for a team-high 26 points in Sunday's 99-96 loss to the Hornets. He also contributed 14 assists, three rebounds, and two steals.

February 27, 2009
Devin Harris is expected to play on Sunday against the Hornets, according to the New York Post. He missed most of Friday's practice due to illness.

Our View:Harris has been on fire over his last three games. He will have his hands full with Chris Paul on Sunday, but he should still be a fine start for fantasy purposes.

Our View:Harris scored 39 on Monday, which marked the first time he had cracked 30 since December 19. He has made double digit trips to the charity stripe in four straight games, and that is what he needs to keep doing if he wants to keep scoring as much.
February 23, 2009
Devin Harris hit a 43-foot three-pointer as the Nets beat the 76ers 98-96 on Monday. He was the only Nets starter with more than 10 points, but his 39, including the unfathomable buzzer-beater, proved enough to get the win. He had eight assists, five three-pointers, and two steals in the game.

Our View:Harris averages less than a three-pointer per game, but it was obvious that he was feeling it tonight. He was the sole reason the Nets won this game, and perhaps his three-point accuracy in the game will inspire some more confidence in the shot. He has hit just 30.5 percent of his long distance attempts this season.
February 20, 2009
Devin Harris scored a team-high 26 points on Friday to go with 10 assists, four rebounds, two steals, and one block in a home loss to the Wizards.

February 10, 2009
Devin Harris scored 21 points and dished out five assists in New Jersey's 108-93 loss to the Spurs Tuesday night. He also finished with seven rebounds and a steal.

Devin Harris led all scorers with 28 points as the Nets crushed the Nuggets 114-70 on Saturday. He was 14-17 from the free throw line and contributed five assists and two steals in 30 minutes of action.

Our View:Another impressive aspect of tonight's performance is that he held Chauncey Billups to just nine points. Harris has slowed down of late but he is still good for the occasional scoring outburst as he was tonight.
February 4, 2009
Devin Harris led the Nets to a 115-88 win over Washington on Wednesday by scoring 26 points and dishing out seven assists.

Our View:He hit 10-of-17 shots in the game to mark the first time that he had hit more than 50 percent of his shots since January 15 and just the third time since December 23. Harris faced some lackluster defense against Washington tonight, so don't expect him to suddenly return to the dominating form he showed in November.
January 30, 2009

January 28, 2009
Devin Harris scored 25 points, dished out 10 dimes, and picked up three steals as the Nets fell at home to the Raptors on Wednesday. He missed a last-second shot that could have won the game. he was 7-of-17 from the field.

Our View:Harris has hit just 27-of-78 (34.6 percent) field goals over his last five games. Many of his numbers are down this month and it seems as if opposing coaches have begun focusing more on shutting the point guard down.
January 26, 2009
Devin Harris really struggled on Monday with his shot, only draining 4-of-17 field goal attempts. He finished with 10 points, six assists, five rebounds, and three steals.

Our View:Harris has only scored 20+ points once in the past five games, really hurting his fantasy stock. He's even been dropped in about two percent of leagues due to his recent struggles.
January 24, 2009
Devin Harris showed no ill effects of a bruised rib Friday night as he scored a team-high 27 points in 40 minutes in New Jersey's 94-91 loss on the road at San Antonio.

January 23, 2009
Devin Harris is doubtful for Friday's game against the Spurs due to his bruised ribs, according to the NY Daily News.

Our View:The Nets are 1-5 in games that Harris has missed, and he remains day-to-day. He should be held out of lineups until further notice.
January 22, 2009
Devin Harris is considered day-to-day as it has been determined he is only dealing with bruised ribs, according to the Star-Ledger. He underwent tests today, including a CT scan.

Our View:The Nets' next battle is Friday at San Antonio. Harris is averaging 24.1 points and 6.5 assists over 15 games on the road this season, and is worth employing in fantasy lineups if deemed fit to play.
January 21, 2009
X-rays taken on Nets guard Devin Harris' ribs were negative, and he is expected to play on Wednesday, the New York Post reports.

Our View:Not only is Harris expected to play, but he's expected to start. This after being benched for an entire half on Saturday. Fantasy owners should continue to employ the surprising Harris in their lineups.
January 18, 2009
Devin Harris was benched for the second half of Saturday's 105-85 loss to the Celtics, according to the New York Post. Coach Lawrence Frank went with his reserves as he was embarrassed by his team's performance in the first half. Harris finished with seven points, one assist, and three turnovers.

Our View:Harris returned this week from a sore hamstring, but this does not appear to be health related. Expect him to rebound strong, although his scoring average has been on a steady decline after a scorching November. He is still averaging 22.3 points per game.
January 15, 2009
Devin Harris led the Nets with 23 points, but it was not enough as they lost 99-105 to the Trailblazers on Wednesday. The point guard eight assists on 10-for-18 shooting.

Our View:Harris who has dealt with a sore hamstring over the past few weeks and he had not scored more than 17 points since January 2. He played 39 minutes tonight, so it appears that he is feeling good.
January 12, 2009
Devin Harris is probable for tonight's game against the Thunder, according to the Sports Network.

Our View:He has missed the last two games with a strained hamstring, but is expected to return tonight. The Nets' leading scorer would be worth penciling back into fantasy lineups, especially with a very favorable match-up against the Thunder (6-32)
January 11, 2009
The New York Post reports that Devin Harris hamstring is expected to return to the starting lineup for the Nets on Monday. He was a full participant in Sunday's practice.

Our View:Harris has missed the last four games for the Nets. He is currently one of the Top 10 scorers in the league, but he will be hard-pressed to keep up his 23.1 mark for the rest of the season.
January 10, 2009
Head coach Lawrence Frank expects guard Devin Harris (hamstring) to return to action on Monday. Harris has missed three of the last four games, including Friday night. "Concerned? No. He's right there and when you look at the schedule, having two days before the next one, it's better to be safe than sorry," Frank informs the New York Post.

Our View:Fantasy owners thinking about their lineup for next week should plan on using the high-scoring point guard.
January 9, 2009
The New York Post reports that Devin Harris (hamstring) will miss Friday's game against Milwaukee. Coach Lawrence Frank says that he is not concerned about the injury lingering.

Our View:Harris is averaging an impressive 23.1 points per game this season, but that scoring total fell by four points in December. No point guard besides Allen Iverson and Gilbert Arenas has finished in the Top 10 in scoring this decade.
January 9, 2009

Our View:New Jersey's leading scorer at 23.7 points a game, Harris sat out last Saturday's overtime loss to Miami because of a sore hamstring.
January 3, 2009
