July 18, 2009 If Marquis Daniels does indeed join the Boston Celtics, the Pacers could receive Tony Allen and Brian Scalabrine in a possible sign-and-trade, according to the Our View:The Pacers don't want Scalabrine and Allen for their skills on the court, but instead their expiring contracts. Daniels has been injury plagued for much of his career, but should be a solid backup for Paul Pierce if he can stay healthy. Depending on how much playing time he gets, he could be a decent fantasy option because of his ability to score. |

July 17, 2009 The Our View:The Celtics have been looking for a backup small forward, and Daniels looks like the man to fill that void. He averaged 13.6 points per game last season, and he should fit nicely into the rotation in Boston. |

June 27, 2009 According to the Our View:Daniels won't earn nearly that much when free agency hits on July 1st, so the Pacers made the right move. Still, they may retain Daniels after all as an insurance policy and grab him on the cheap. |
