The Arizona Republic reports that Leandro Barbosa will play through his wrist injury on Sunday.

Our View:Barbosa is averaging 15.7 points per game this season, but that number could be a little lower on Sunday as he adjusts to a bum wrist.

According to the Arizona Republic, Leandro Barbosa (wrist) is questionable for Friday's game against the Celtics.

Our View:Barbosa has missed the Suns last two games with the wrist injury, but is showing improvement and now Friday represents his best chance to play since getting hurt. The pain and swelling gone down, but he'll still likely be a game-time decision. Stay tuned.

Updating a previous report, Suns' guard Leandro Barbosa missed Wednesday's game against the Magic with a wrist injury. Barbosa also missed Tuesday's game against the Heat with the same injury.

Our View:The team didn't expect Barbosa to be available tonight, so this isn't a big surprise. The Suns are concerned that he might miss the rest of the week, but we will keep you updated on his status.

According to the Arizona Republic, Leandro Barbosa will likely miss Wednesday's game against the Magic due to a wrist injury.

Our View:Barbosa missed Tuesday's game against the Heat as well, and the wrist doesn't seem to be improving. He is unable to pass and catch without pain, so he may not be able to play all week. Consider him day-to-day for now.

Updating an earlier report, Leandro Barbosa will miss tonight's game against the Heat, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View:Barbosa was unable to pass and catch without pain in his right wrist during this morning's shoot-around. Alando Tucker could get more minutes in his absence.

Leandro Barbosa is doubtful to play in Tuesday's game due to a wrist injury, according to the Arizona Republic. "We'll see how I feel later. But in a game, I don't think I'll be able to do much," Barbosa said. "I can barely open my hand. It's tough."

Our View:Barbosa dealt with this injury throughout the preseason, and it has lingered on. Hopefully the injury will respond to treatment, but it's possible that the injury could eventually require surgery.

According to the Arizona Republic, Leandro Barbosa is expected to start for the Suns in Wednesday in the team's opener in LA. Barbosa will take the starting spot of Jason Richardson, who is serving a suspension.

Our View:Barbosa should be able to put up some points against the Clips tonight, but his fantasy value will be back down to normal when Richardson returns. He has the ability to score in bunches, and is probably worth a chance while he is in the starting lineup.

Leandro Barbosa led the Suns in scoring on Wednesday as they defeated the Blazers 110-104. Barbosa finished with 25 points, three rebounds, and three assists in the win.

Our View:Barbosa played only 24:29 in the game, so his 25 points are even more impressive. He was 10-for-17 shooting, and he also knocked down five of his seven threes. He is a good shooter, but he isn't a great fantasy contributor in any other stat.

Leandro Barbosa said he continues to be bothered by an abdominal strain that occurred before the seven games he missed for a tibia bone bruise, according to the Arizona Republic. "Every time I start jogging, it starts hurting," said Barbosa.

Our View:This news obviously makes Barbosa a risky fantasy proposition down the stretch and could partially explain why he has done so little the last couple games.
April 5, 2009
Leandro Barbosa hit 9-of-14 shots for 24 points off the bench in the Suns 140-116 loss to the Mavericks on Sunday. He had two rebounds and three assists as well.

Our View:Barbosa is back in action and should be a safe fantasy play once again. His minutes aren't quite there yet, but his points are. He has 39 points in two games since returning from in jury. Feel free to get him back in your lineup.

Leandro Barbosa, out with a bone bruise on his left knee, is targeting a return on Wednesday, April 1, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View:Barbosa ran on a treadmill before the Suns' game on Thursday and felt good afterwards. "After I warmed up it felt better, so I'm happy," Barbosa said. "If I keep doing this, Wednesday could be good." A Wednesday return would be good news for Barbosa owners, as his return date had been unclear before. Still, Wednesday is five days away, so be sure to stay up to date on his progress as the date approaches.
March 19, 2009
Leandro Barbosa will miss 1-3 weeks due to a bone bruise on his left knee, according to the Arizona Republic.

Our View:With the playoffs looming, it may be wise to cut bait with Barbosa. Teams can ill-afford to carry injured players at this time of year. If he does return after just one week, you can still try to pick him back up. He has been playing very well since the all-star break.
March 16, 2009
Leandro Barbosa is playing through pain from an abdominal strain, according to the Arizona Republic. The ailment has been bothering him for nearly two weeks and he said, "It is very, very tight. Every time I try to walk or run, it hurts. It gets worse when I play. After the game, I cannot sleep. Anything I try to do with power hurts, even when I walk."

Our View:A doctor confirmed that he is not dealing with a hernia. He is averaging 21.5 points over his last two games and should be fine to keep active in fantasy lineups.
March 14, 2009
Leandro Barbosa posted 22 points on 7-of-11 shooting as Phoenix defeated Oklahoma City 106-95 on Saturday. He also had five rebounds, three treys, and two assists off of the bench.

Our View:Barbosa has scored in double figures in every game but one since the all-star break. His playing time continues to fluctuate from game to game, but overall he is a worthy reserve in most leagues.
February 27, 2009
Leandro Barbosa scored 18 points on 7-of-18 shooting and dished out seven assists in Phoenix's 132-106 loss to the Lakers Thursday night at STAPLES Center.

Our View:Barbosa's seven assists tied a season-high, but he's failed somewhat to capitalize on his huge 41-point performance against Oklahoma City on Feb. 20. He is yet to score more than 20 points in three games since.
February 21, 2009
Leandro Barbosa posted a game-high 41 points on Friday in a 140-118 win over the Thunder. He also chipped in seven rebounds, seven assists, and six steals.

Our View:This was by far Barbosa's most complete game this year in addition to it being his season-high in points. He might be worth picking up if he's available in your league.
February 17, 2009
Leandro Barbosa and the Suns decimated the Clippers, 140-110 behind Barbosa's 24 points, seven rebounds, five assists and five steals.

Our View:Barbosa did this in 28 minutes. It was the first time he had at least 20 points in his last four games.
January 31, 2009
Leandro Barbosa scored a season-high 32 points in 32 minutes, but the Suns lost 122-111 to the Bulls on Saturday. He hit 11-of-17 shots, including 3-of-5 from three-point range.

Our View:As usual with Barbosa, you never have any idea what you're going to get out of him. He is a bonafide scorer, but his minutes fluctuate too drastically for many owners to depend on him.
January 26, 2009
Leandro Barbosa had a huge impact on Monday, scoring 23 points in 27 minutes off of the Suns' bench. He also contributed three rebounds and two assists.

Our View:This was the second consecutive game in which Barbosa scored 20+ points, which comes after a three-game stretch in which he only totaled 12 points.
January 23, 2009
Leandro Barbosa played 19 minutes of scoreless basketball in Phoenix's lifeless 98-76 loss to the Bobcats in Charlotte Friday night.

Our View:Friday marked the first time this season Barbosa failed to register a point in a game. The last time Barbosa was held scoreless in a regular season game was on Nov. 19, 2004, against the Lakers.
