Newsbreakers
November 12, 2009
Grant Hill was one of eight Suns in double figures on Wednesday night, scoring 18 points as Phoenix manhandled New Orleans 124-104.

Our View:Hill has turned back the clock in 2009-10, and is again a solid fantasy option in Phoenix's up-tempo system.
November 8, 2009
Grant Hill had 13 points and 13 rebounds on Sunday, as the Suns improved to 6-1 with a 102-90 win over the Wizards.

Our View:It was Hill's fourth double-double in eight games this season, and somehow, someway, he is looking like a solid fantasy option at forward at the age of 37.
November 1, 2009
Grant Hill continued his torrid start to the season on Sunday by notching his second double-double of the season in a win over the Timberwolves. He finished the game with 23 points, 10 rebounds, a block, a steal, and a three-pointer.

Our View:Hill is averaging 20 points and 9.7 rebounds through three games and has looked fantastic. At 37, though, we have to wonder how long he can keep up this pace.

Super vet Grant Hill had a monster game on Wednesday night, scoring 19 points to go along with 13 rebounds, as the Suns beat the Clippers 109-107.

Our View:It was a throwback night for Hill, who might not have another 13-rebound game for the rest of the season.

Grant Hill's deal with the Suns has been finalized, according to the Arizona Republic. He will earn $3MM in 2009-10, and has a club option for $3.24MM in 2010-11.

Our View:The Suns decided to bring the 36-year-old vet back after averaging 12 points, 4.9 boards and 2.3 assists over 82 games last season.
July 10, 2009
Grant Hill has re-signed with the Phoenix Suns, according to Yahoo! Sports.

Our View:Hill is long past his prime, and being valuable in most fantasy leagues, but should still be an important role player with the Suns in 2009-10. He should at least score ten points per game if nothing else.
July 9, 2009
The Celtics remain interested in Grant Hill, according to the Boston Globe.

Our View:The Suns and Knicks remain in the running for Hill as well. New York would be able to offer him the most money.
July 7, 2009
The New York Post is reporting that the New York Knicks have offered Grant Hill a one-year deal for a portion of the team's mid-level exception. Hill visited with coach Mike D'Antoni and members of the front office this week.

Our View:The Celtics have also made an offer for Hill, but the Knicks can offer quite a bit more money. It will be interesting to see what Hill wants to do, but he could make a decision before the end of the week. Stay tuned.

There is a strong possibility free agent guard/forward Grant Hill will sign with the Celtics this week, according to Comcast Sportsnet.

Our View:The Celts just keep harvesting veterans. Hill averaged 12.0 points per game for the Suns last season, but is well past his prime and likely won't be a great fantasy option next year no matter where he plays.
April 16, 2009
The Arizona Republic reports that Grant Hill hopes to play two or three more seasons. The veteran will be a free agent once again this summer.

Our View:Hill managed to play all 82 games this season for the first time since the 90s. He says he would like to stay in Phoenix, but many feel that the Suns are wanting to shed payroll. There are a number of teams looking for help at small forward this offseason, including the Miami Heat, Toronto Raptors, and Los Angeles Lakers.
April 16, 2009
Grant Hill recorded a double-double in the NBA's regular season finale on Wednesday. He was good for 27 points, ten rebounds and five assists in the Suns' 117-113 win over the Warriors.

Our View:Hill also had four steals and a blocked shot on Wednesday and hit 13-of-16 shots from the line. This was Hill's first double-double since a 23-10 effort on March 23rd.
April 5, 2009
Grant Hill was good for 23 points and six rebounds on Sunday in a 140-116 loss to Dallas. He shot 8-of-12 from the field.

Our View:Hill has been hot ans cold lately. In the last month he has seven games of 19 or more points but seven games of 12 or less. And he's only recorded one double-double since March 1st.
March 26, 2009
Grant Hill came through again for the Suns on Wednesday as they defeated the Jazz 118-114. The forward scored their final four points on his way to 26 points, five rebounds, two steals, and two blocks. He shot 10-fo-16 from the field.

Our View:Hill's continued resurgence in the desert is rather remarkable giving endless string of maladies he endured while with the Magic earlier in his career. He is not an exceptional fantasy producer, but his ability to contribute in all categories without making any negative impacts makes him particularly valuable in roto-formats.
March 24, 2009
Grant Hill scored a team-high 23 points and grabbed 10 boards to lead the Suns to a 118-115 win over Denver on Monday.

Our View:Grant now has nine double-digit performances this month and has also raised his assist and rebound totals from last month. He is averaging nearly an assist more and two rebounds more this month than he did in February.
March 10, 2009
Grant Hill was 5-of-9 from the floor, scoring 13 points and adding four assists in the Suns' 122-117 loss to the Mavs on Tuesday.

Our View:Hill is a name player but on the fringe of having very much fantasy success. He is averaging just over ten points per game this season.
March 7, 2009
Grant Hill was held scoreless Friday in a loss to Houston, but the veteran managed to collect six rebounds and three blocks in 25 minutes.

Our View:Friday's game was the fourth time the 36-year-old Hill has been held without a point this season. And he certainly has showed signs of slowing down, as evidenced by his scoring average, which has dipped each of the last four seasons and currently stands at 10.9.
February 27, 2009
Grant Hill played one of his better games as the Suns beat the Raptors 133-113 without Steve Nash on Friday. Hill hit 6-of-9 shots and finished the game with 14 points, 12 assists, four rebounds, two steals, and two blocks.

Our View:Hill had been awful in his four games leading up to this one, and that was primarily blamed on a rare injury in his foot. However, he looked good tonight as most of the Suns offense was ignited by him.
February 21, 2009
Grant Hill has neuroma in his left foot, according to the Arizona Republic. The condition is described as a bundling of nerves. He is still expected to play on Sunday against the Celtics.

Our View:Hill is trying to replace Amare Stoudemire at power forward, but he has just six points in his past two games. The injury helps explain his lack of production, and there stands the chance that he could be shut down for a few days to try and relieve some of the pain.
February 7, 2009
Grant Hill poured in a game-high 27 points on Friday to go with five rebounds, two steals, one assists, and one block in a 115-105 win over the Warriors.

Our View:This was Hill's highest point total of the season, as he's averaging under 11 points this year with the Suns.
