According to the Associated Press, an MRI on Jared Jeffries hyper-extended right knee revealed a bone bruise.

Our View:Jeffries is considered day-to-day and is currently questionable for Saturday's game. The Knicks top defender was injured in Thursday's contest and should be updated before tip off Saturday.

According to Alan Hahn on Twitter, Jared Jeffries suffered a hyper-extended right knee in the second quarter of Thursday's game.

Our View:Jeffries played until the halftime buzzer, but did not return after. Consider him day-to-day for now, and look to Al Harrington or Jordan Hill to get the start in his place if he's forced to miss a game.

Jared Jeffries scored a team-high 14 points on Sunday, as the Knicks failed to show up, looking like a high school team in a 128-78 loss to the Mavericks.

Our View:Always new depths in New York City. The Knicks' "stall and wait for LeBron strategy" has led to its share of embarrassing moments, but today by far takes the cake. If you are an NBA franchise and lose a game, any game, by 50 points, some serious soul-searching is in order. Judged by the way coach Mike D'Antoni had handled adversity in the past, expect maybe or two of the team's only talented players to be benched for no reason for a sizable amount of time.
