November 3, 2009 Drew Gooden has been accused of yelling a homophobic slur at fans sitting behind the Mavericks' bench when the team played in Los Angeles on Saturday, according to the Our View:Mavericks owner Mark Cuban says the matter is being handled internally, and partly blamed the incident on the fans. This story does not appear to have the legs the Larry Johnson saga does. |

November 2, 2009 Drew Gooden's strained muscle near his rib cage is healing quickly, according to the Our View:"We don't think it's serious," were the words of head coach Rick Carlisle. Gooden is just a bench player, but could come into some fantasy value based on rebounding once the season gets going. He'll likely be a nice fill-in option for injured players. |
