Chris Andersen underwent an MRI on his right knee today, according to the Denver Post. The test revealed no structural damage.

Our View:Andersen is day-to-day with patella tendinitis. He is a valuable reserve at center for Denver, but his fantasy value is limited.

The Denver Post reports that Chris Andersen is expected to play against the Nets on Wednesday.

Our View:The Birdman left with a knee injury in the fourth quarter of Tuesday's win over the Pacers and did not return, but he is expected to be healthy enough to play tonight. He won't be in peak form, and as a reserve forward in most fantasy formats, it may be wise to find a replacement if you planned on starting him.

Chris "Birdman" Andersen will play extended minutes in the Nuggets' preseason game with the Trail Blazers on Sunday night, according to the Denver Post.

Our View:Coach George Karl wants him to have a "Chris Andersen game," meaning a night where he sets the tone defensively and has big moments offensively. His blocking and rebounding ability make him a nice reserve forward in most leagues.

The Nuggets have re-signed Chris Andersen to a five year, $26 million deal according to the Denver Post.

Our View:This move was considered absolutely crucial to the Nuggets chances of contending in 2009-10, as the "Birdman" developed into one of the NBA's top defenders and above-the-rim players last season. He is a great source of blocks and rebounds, and you shouldn't let him fall too far in your draft this fall.

The Denver Post is reporting that Chris Andersen would like to return to the Nuggets next season. Andersen is a free agent, but he told the paper he wants to stay in Denver with a multi-year deal.

Our View:Birdman is probably the Nuggets' top priority this offseason, so it bodes well for the team that he wants to return. He came fairly cheap last season, but it will probably take a multi-year deal worth the mid-level exception of $5.585 million. Look for him to be back in Denver next season, but don't be surprised if the Nuggets can't afford him.

According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Chris Andersen is fully recovered from the case of food poisoning that caused him to miss the Nuggets Game Four loss on Monday. He will play in Game Five.

Our View:Anderson apparently ate some bad food at the hotel on Monday, but seems to have gotten it all out of his system now. He has only averaged eight points in the series, but his defense has been critical.
April 8, 2009
Chris Andersen blocked seven shots in 28 minutes in Denver's 122-112 win over the Thunder on Wednesday. He also had eight points and nine rebounds on the night.

Our View:Andersen is worth owning for his blocks alone, but he can contribute in other areas as well. He is second in the league with 2.4 blocks per game despite averaging just 20.3 minutes per game.
February 27, 2009
Chris Andersen was a beast in the Nuggets 90-79 win over the Lakers on Friday. He finished with 11 points, 12 rebounds, and seven blocks in 28 minutes of action.

Our View:With Nene limited with a bruised knee, Andersen stepped up big against the Lakers formidable front court. He averages only 19.1 minutes per game, but he's still good for 2.2 blocks per game.
February 18, 2009
Chris Andersen is set to return to the court tonight at Philadelphia following his bout with wrist and hip ailments, according to the Denver Post.

Our View:Andersen averages 6.3 points, 5.3 boards, and two blocks. He should be fine to consider for deeper fantasy lineups again.
February 11, 2009
Chris Andersen will miss Wednesday night's game due to a sprained left wrist and a left hip contusion, according to the Rocky Mountain News. He suffered the injuries as a result of a Shawn Marion flagrant foul. He does expect to play in the Nuggets next game, against Philadelphia next Wednesday.

Our View:Andersen is a nice source of blocks and shooting percentages, but the rest of his production his heavily limited due to his lack of minutes. If Nene Hilario ever goes down (which is entirely possible), Andersen could certainly be a fantasy contributor.
