Chris Gimenez had a nice day at the plate on Thursday in the Indians' 11-3 loss to the Twins. Gimenez went 2-for-4 with a home run, a run scored, and an RBI in the game.
The man who replaced Grady Sizemore on the roster showed up to play today. His fantasy value is slim-to-none, but it was a nice showing for him this afternoon. Don't expect output like this to be a regular occurrence.
ESPN.com is reporting that the Indians have recalled Chris Gimenez from Triple-A Columbus to replace Grady Sizemore, who was placed on the 15-day DL with elbow inflammation.
Gimenez is a utility player, but he will have no fantasy value for the Indians at this time. He will not be seeing much playing time, so no need to even give him a look.
