Kevin Jepsen has a "dead arm," and has been unavailable to pitch for the past few days, according to the Los Angeles Daily News.
Our View:
Since July 1, Jepsen has posted a 1.67 ERA in 31 appearances as Brian Fuentes' setup man. He should likely be available this weekend against the A's.

The Angels have called up reliever Kevin Jepsen from Triple-A Salt Lake.
Our View:
Jepsen could have a key role right away. The Angels bullpen has been awful, and they are operating without Jose Arredondo and Scot Shields. Mike Scioscia needs someone to step up.

The Angels activated Kevin Jepsen from the DL and optioned him to Triple-A Salt Lake. He was coming back from back spasms.
Our View:
Jepsen will likely return to the team's pen if he pitches well over his next few outings at Salt Lake.

The OC Register is reporting that Kevin Jepsen is heading to Triple-A Salt Lake to begin a rehab assignment. He has been feeling better as of late, and he expects to be back when he is eligible to come off the DL on May 4.
Our View:
Jepsen has struggled early in 2009, but the Angels need him back in their bullpen. If all goes well on his rehab assignment, Jepsen should make his return to the team next Monday.

The OC Register is reporting that the Angels have placed Kevin Jepsen on the 15-day DL due to lower back spasms. The Angels recalled Brandon Wood from Triple-A Salt Lake to fill the roster.
Our View:
Jepsen had been struggling with his control, which he contributed to his back problems. He needs to heal up and get back to the Angels' bullpen, which has been decimated by injury so far this season.
