Adam Rosales hit a pinch-hit, three run home run in the ninth inning on Thursday, but alas, the Reds were down six, and still lost 7-4 to the Padres at home.
Rosales is barely above the Mendoza line, and not a good option in almost every format.
According to the Twitter page of Reds' beat writer Mark Sheldon, the team has recalled infielder Adam Rosales from Triple-A Louisville. He will replace the injured Jay Bruce on the roster.
Rosales struggled badly in his first stint with the team this season, but apparently the team is happy with his work in Triple-A. He holds no fantasy value, and look for him to get a very limited amount of playing time while on the major league roster.
According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, the Reds optioned Adam Rosales to Triple-A on Saturday.
Rosales was struggling mightily, hitting just .197 since being called up in late April. Rosales was told to report to Triple-A, get some work in and clear his head. He may get another call later in the season, but his already minimal fantasy value has completely disappeared for the time being.
According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, The Reds have third baseman Adam Rosales recalled from Triple-A Louisville. He will replace the injured Edwin Encarnacion.
Rosales definitely deserves this call up. In 65 at-bats in Triple-A he hit .431 with four home runs and 15 RBI. He should be a significant upgrade over the ailing Encarnacion, who was hitting just .127 and could be a nice pickup in NL-only leagues.
Adam Rosales went 2-for-2 with two RBI in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Pirates.
The 25-year-old had a good day at the plate, but is not expected to make the Reds' opening day roster as a middle infielder.
