To clear room for the soon-to-be-activated Joe Saunders, Sean O'Sullivan has been optioned to Triple-A Salt Lake.

Our View:

O'Sullivan is 3-0 this season with a 3.72 ERA in five starts with the Angels this season. He tossed a no-hitter in has last Triple-A start and was only sent down due to the lack of offensive depth on the big club. He's worth a start in AL-only leagues and possibly mixed leagues as well if you need extra pitching help.

Our View:

This was O'Sullivan's first start since being optioned back to Triple-A on July 22nd, and the kid failed to disappoint. Our View:

O'Sullivan has a favorable match-up tonight against the struggling Royals lineup, not to mention the fact he is opposed by Bruce Chen and his 6.86 ERA. If you need a spot start, O'Sullivan looks like a solid candidate to pick up a win and quality start.

July 20, 2009

The Angels and Royals' game on Monday has been postponed due to rain and rescheduled as part of a double-header tomorrow on Tuesday, according to the Associated Press.

Our View:

O'Sullivan is 2-0 with the Angels this season, and he has a decent 3.80 ERA in his four appearances with the team. He doesn't strike a ton of guys out, (15 K's in 23.2 innings), but overall he has been solid when given the chance in LA. He could be a nice spot start, especially against the Royals tonight.

Our View:

O'Sullivan pitched very well in his lone start Tuesday night in place of injured pitcher Ervin Santana, but the Angels sent him back down to make room for Rafael Rodriguez.
