Jordan Walden is the player to be named later in the trade that sent Scott Kazmir from the Rays to the Angels, according to HalosHeaven.com.
Rays' skipper Joe Maddon is excited about getting Walden, but the 21-year-old hurler is just 1-5 with a 5.25 ERA over 13 starts with Double-A Arkansas this season. It will be a while before he will be ready to join the Rays.
Jordan Walden won his first game of the season for Double-A Arkansas on Thursday, allowing one run on three hits in five innings. He walked two and struck out nine.
The Angels' Minor League Organizational Player of the Year last season, Walden has struggled in his brief time at Double-A with a 5.76 ERA. Hopefully, this is a sign that he is coming around.
